Abstract
Kosmetisches Sonnenschutzmittel, das in Form einer verschäumbaren Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion in einem Schaumspender vorliegt, wobei die Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion, jeweils bezogen auf die Gesamtzusammensetzung, 2-50 Gew.-% einer Ölphase und 50-98 Gew.-% einer Wasserphase, welche ein Tenside enthält, umfasst und wobei die Ölphase und/oder die Wasserphase der Emulsion UV-A- und/oder UV-B-Absorver in einer Menge von 1-40 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die Gesamtzusammensetzung, enthalten, wovon die Ölphase von 1-30 Gew.-% und die wässrige Phase 0-10 Gew.-% der UV-Absorber enthalten, und wobei die Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion gegebenenfalls zusätzlich eine gewünschte Menge an kosmetischen Hilfsstoffen, insbesondere Konservierungsmittel und/oder Parfüms und/oder Mittel zur Erhöhung der Wasserfestigkeit, enthält.
Description
Verschäumbares Sonnenschutzmittel
Die Erfindung betrifft ein kosmetisches Sonnenschutzmittel , das in Form einer verschäumbaren Öl-in- asser-Emulsion vor- liegt.
Sonnenschutzmittel des Handels werden üblicherweise als Sonnen-Öl, Sonnen-Milch (Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion), Sonnencreme, Sonnengelee, Sonnenlotion, Sonnensprayöl und Sonnen-Spraye- mulsion angeboten. Sie dienen dazu, die Hautoberfläche gegen die schädigenden Einflüsse der direkten und indirekten Sonnenbestrahlung zu schützen. Die Sonnenschutzmittel enthalten als UV-Absorber oder auch Lichtfilter bezeichnete Substanzen, die die Aufgabe haben, die Sonnenbrand erzeugen- den Strahlungsanteile des Sonnenlichts, insbesondere Licht der Wellenlänge UV-B (280 bis 315 nm) sowie auch UV-A (315 bis 400 nm) zurückzuhalten. UV-Absorber oder Lichtfilter sind Verbindungen, die UV-Strahlung in unschädliche Wärme umwandeln und die verschiedenen Substanzklassen zugeordnet werden können, insbesondere Benzophenon-Derivaten, Hydroxy- naphthochinonen, Phenylbenzoxazolen und Phenylbenzimidazo- len, Digalloyltriolea , Aminobenzolsäureestern, Salicylsäu- reestern, alicyclischen Dienonen, Zimtsäureestern, Benzala-
zin und anderen Klassen zugeordnet werden können.
In vielen Fällen weisen die Sonnenschutzmittel, insbesondere diejenigen in Creme-, Gelee- oder auch Öl- oder Milch-Form, relativ hohe Viskositäten auf, was den gleichmäßigen Auftrag derartiger Sonnenschutzmittel auf die Haut erschwert.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, neuartige Sonnen- schutzmittel anzugeben, die in Schaumform auf die Haut aufgebracht werden können und aufgrund der geringen Dichte und Festigkeit, des Schaums leicht gleichmäßig auf der Haut verteilt werden können.
Diese Aufgabe wird durch ein kosmetisches Sonnenschutzmittel gemäß Anspruch 1 gelöst, d.h. ein Sonnenschutzmittel, das in Form einer verschäumbaren Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion in einem Schaumspender vorliegt, wobei die Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion, jeweils bezogen auf ihre Gesamtzusammensetzung, 2 - 50 Gew.- % einer Ölphase und 50 - 98 Gew.- eine Wasserphase, die ein Tensid enthält, umfaßt und wobei die Ölphase und/oder die Wasserphase der Emulsion UV-A- und UV-B-Absober in einer Menge von 1 - 40 Gew.-., bezogen auf die Gesamtzusammensetzung, enthalten, wobei die Gesamtmenge der UV-Absorber so auf die beiden Phasen verteilt ist, daß die Ölphase von 1 - 30 Gew.-, und die wässrige Phase von 0 - 10 Gew.-. der UV- Absorber enthalten.
Die verschäumbare Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion kann ggf. zusätzlich gewünschte Mengen an kosmetischen Hilfsstoffen, insbesondere an Konservierungsmitteln und/oder Parfüms und/oder Hilfsstoffen, die die Wasserfestigkeit gewährleisten, und/oder hautpflegenden kosmetischen Wirkstoffen wie z.B. Vitamin E, Glycerin und/oder Panthenol enthalten.
Als Hilfsstoff, der die Wasserfestigkeit der Sonnenschutz- mittel gewährleistet, kann z.B. ein oberflächenaktives Polymer auf Basis von Polyvinylpyrrolidon (PVP) , z.B. ein
PVP/Hexadecen-Copolymer , das unter dem Handelsnamen Antaron V-216 von der Fa. ISP erhältlich ist, verwendet werden.
Zur Herstellung der Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion ist in der Regel ein Emulgator oder eine Mischung von Emulgatoren erforderlich, die als Bestandteil der Ölphase in die Gesamtzusammen- setzung eingeführt werden. Zu den bevorzugten Emulgatoren gehören nichtionische und selbstemulgierende Öl-in-Wasser- Emulgatoren. Geeignete Emulgatoren enthalten Bestandteile oder bestehen aus Bestandteilen, die z.B. zu den Klassen der Polyoxyethylenfettsäureester (z.B. Handelsprodukte wie Arlatone® 983; oder Myrj® 59, ein Polyoxyethylenstearat der Fa. Unichema) , der ethoxylierten Fettalkohole (Eumulgin® Bl, ein Cetylstearylalkohol mit 12 Mol Ethylenoxid) , der Fettal- kohole und Fettalkoholgemische (z.B. Lanette® N; oder Emul- gade® CP der Fa. Cognis) und/oder der partiell neutralisierten Ester von Mono- und Diglyceriden von Speisefettsäuren mit Hydroxycarbonsäuren (z.B. Imwitor 370, ein partiell neutralisierter Ester von Mono- und Diglyceriden ungesättig- ter Speisefettsäuren mit Citronen- und Milchsäure, von der Fa. Contensio) gehören. Die Emulgatoren werden in den üblichen empfohlenen Mengen eingesetzt. Diese Mengen liegen in der Regel im Bereich von 0,1-10 Gew.-..
Zur Schaumbildung ist die Anwesenheit eines oder mehrerer geeigneter Tenside, die vom kationischen, anionischen, nichtionischen oder amphoteren Typ sein können, erforderlich. Vorzugsweise wird ein solches Tensid oder eine solche Tensidmischung verwendet, die sehr mild und hautfreundlich sind. Das Tensid oder die Tensidmischung liegen in einer
Menge von 0,1 bis 10 Gew . % vor. Ein geeignetes und derzeit bevorzugtes mildes hautfreundliches Tensid ist Natrium- cocoylglutama . Als Beispiel für ein weiteres bevorzugtes Tensid kann Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Cocamidopropyldimethyl- glycin) angegeben werden. Das Tensid wird in der Regel als letzter Bestandteil der ansonsten fertigen Öl-in-Wasser- Emulsion aus den restlichen Bestandteilen zugegeben.
Die in dem Sonnenschutzmittel enthaltenen UV-Absorber können irgendwelche geeignete, vorzugsweise hautfreundliche und nicht allergene UV-Absorber sein. Beispielsweise können als bevorzugte UV-Absorber genannt werden Octyl Methoxycinnama- te, 4-Methoxybenzylidene Camphor, Propyl Methoxydibenzoylme- thane, 3 , 3 , 5-Trimethylcyclohexylsalicylat (Homosalate; erhältlich z.B. unter dem Handelsnamen Neo Heliopan HMS von der Fa. Haarmann & Reimer) und Phenylbenzimidazolsulfon- säure. Die UV-Absorber können in öllösliche und wasserlösli- ehe UV-Absorber eingeteilt werden.
Ein erfindungsgemäßes Sonnenschutzmittel in Form einer verschäumbaren Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion enthält vorzugsweise öllösliche UV-Absorber, die der Ölphase in Mengen von 1 - 30 Gew.-I zugegeben werden, wobei Octyl Methoxycinnamate und Homosalate derzeit bevorzugt sind.
Zusätzlich kann die Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion auch UV-Absorber in der Wasserphase enthalten, insbesondere von 0 - 10 Gew.-, Phenylbenzimidazolsulfonsäure .
Zur Bildung der Ölphase wird ein zur Hautbehandlung und für Sonnenschutzmittel geeignetes Öl oder eine Mischung geeigneter Öle verwendet, beispielsweise Octylstearat , Isopropyl- palmitat oder für kosmetische Anwendungen geeignete Pflanzenöle, z.B. Mandelöl, und/oder Mineralöle.
Eine Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion mit den genannten Bestandteilen läßt sich mit Hilfe an sich bekannter Schaumspender ver- schäumen, wobei zur Verschäumung Spender auf Treibgasbasis oder mechanische Schaumspender mit einem Pumpenmechanismus zur Verschäumung mit Luft zum Einsatz kommen können. Vorzugsweise wird im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung ein mechanischer Schaumspender verwendet, der es ermöglicht, auf hohe Anteile flüchtiger organischer Treibgasvorläufer zu verzichten. Das ist besonders im Hinblick darauf von Interesse, als Sonnenschutzmittel häufig bei ihrer Verwendung,
z.B. am Strand beim Sonnenbaden, der direkten Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt und erhitzt werden können.
Als geeigneter mechanischer, nach dem Luftpumpenprinzip arbeitender Schaumspender ist ein als "Squeeze foamer" oder "F2 Finger Pump Foamer" erhältlicher Schaumspender zu nennen, der von der Firma Airspray International BV bzw. Air- spray International Inc. in näheren Einzelheiten beschrieben und vertrieben wird. Eine Basiszusammensetzung für eine verschäumbare Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung ist wie folgt:
Ölphase
Öl (z.B. Octylstearat , Isopropylpalmitat ) 1 - 20 Gew.-, UV-Absorber (lipophil, z.B. Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Homosalate) 1 - 30 Gew.-% Emulgator 0,1 - 10 Gew.-%
Wasserphase UV-Absorber (hydrophil, z.B. Phenylbenzimidazolsulfonsäure) 0 - 10 Gew.-%
Tensid (z.B. Natriumcocoylglutamat ) 0,1 - 10 Gew.-%
Wasser bis 100 Gew.-% zusätzlich Konservierungsmittel q.s. Parfüm q.s.
In der genannten Basisformulierung sind %-Angaben stets Gew. - ., wobei die %-Angaben stets auf das Gesamtgewicht der Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion bezogen sind. Das gilt grundsätzlich auch für alle Angaben in den Beispielen und Patentansprüchen, es sei denn, es ist etwas anderes ausdrücklich angegeben. Die verschiedenen Bestandteile der Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion werden, insbesondere in den Beispielen, teilweise mit ihren aus dem Englischen abgeleiteten INCI/CTFA-Bezeichnun- gen angegeben.
Die Herstellung erfolgt in der Regel so, daß aus der Ölphase
und der tensidfreien Wasserphase eine erste Öl-in-Wasser- Emulsion hergestellt wird, die dann durch Zugabe des gewünschten Tensids in eine verschäumbare Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion überführt wird. Die fertige Emulsion wird dann, ggf. zusammen mit einem Treibmittel, in einen geeigneten Schaumspender eingefüllt.
Nachfolgend werden noch zwei beispielhafte, zu den derzeit bevorzugten Ausführungsformen gehörende, im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung einsetzbare Formulierungen angegeben,

Claims
1. Kosmetisches Sonnenschutzmittel, das in Form einer verschäumbaren Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion in einem Schaumspender vorliegt, wobei die Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion, jeweils bezogen auf die Gesamtzusammensetzung, 2-50 Gew.-, einer Ölphase und 50-98 Gew.-% einer Wasserphase, welche ein Tensid enthält, umfaßt und wobei die Ölphase und/oder die Wasserphase der Emulsion UV-A- und/oder UV-B-Absorber in einer Menge von 1-40 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die Gesamtzusammensetzung, enthalten, wovon die Öl- phase von 1-30 Gew.-% und die wässrige Phase 0-10 Gew.-
% der UV-Absorber enthalten, und wobei die Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion gegebenenfalls zusätzlich eine gewünschte Menge an kosmetischen Hilfsstoffen enthält.
2. Sonnenschutzmittel nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Tensid in einer Menge von 0,1-10 Gew.-. vorliegt.
3. Sonnenschutzmittel nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei das Tensid Natriumcocoylglutamat oder Cocamidopropyl Betai- ne ist.
4. Sonnenschutzmittel nach Anspruch 1, 2 oder 3, wobei die UV-Absorber ausgewählt sind aus Octylmethoxycinnamat , 4-Methoxybenzylidencampher, Butylmethoxydibenzoylme- than, Homosalate und Phenylbenzimidazolsulfonsäure .
5. Sonnenschutzmittel nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, wobei die Ölphase 1-20 Gew.-., bezogen auf die Gesamtzusammensetzung, eines Öls umfasst, das ausgewählt ist aus Octylstearat und/oder Isopropylpalmitat.
6. Sonnenschutzmittel nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, wobei die Ölphase 1-30 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die Gesamt- zusammensetzung, eines UV-Absorbers umfasst, der ausgewählt ist aus Octylmethoxycinnamat und Homosalate.
7. Sonnenschutzmittel nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, wobei die Wasserphase 0-10 Gew.-. eines UV-Absorbers in Form von Phenylbenzimidazolsulfonsäure enthält.
8. Sonnenschutzmittel nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, wobei die Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion sich in einem Schaumspender mit einem Pumpenmechanismus zur Verschäumung mit Luft befindet.
9. Sonnenschutzmittel nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, wobei sich die Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion zusammen mit einem komprimierten Treibgas in einem Schaumspender auf Treibgasbasis befindet.
