Abstract

L'invention concerne des compositions d'encre renfermant des pigments modifiés à niveaux de traitement élevés ou faibles. Les compositions d'encre comprenant des pigments modifiés à niveaux de traitement élevés renferment 1) au moins un vecteur liquide et 2) au moins un pigment modifié. Ces compositions sont caractérisées en ce que le pigment modifié renferme au moins un pigment auquel est attaché au moins un groupe organique substitué par un groupe anionique au moins, un groupe anionisable au moins, ou un mélange de ceux-ci, le groupe organique étant présent à un niveau de traitement compris entre 4,5 environ et 7,5 environ micromoles/m2 du pigment utilisé en fonction de la surface azotée du pigment. Les composition d'encre comprenant des pigments modifiés à niveaux de traitement faibles comprennent 1) au moins un vecteur liquide et 2) au moins un pigment modifié, le pigment modifié comprenant au moins un pigment auquel est attaché au moins un groupe organique substitué par au moins un groupe cationique, au moins un groupe cationisable, ou un mélange de ceux-ci, le groupe organique étant présent à un niveau de traitement compris entre 1 environ et 4 environ micromoles/m2 du pigment utilisé en fonction de la surface azotée du pigment. La présente invention concerne également des procédés permettant d'améliorer les propriétés de fondu des couleurs d'une encre, par utilisation des composants précités dans l'encre.
