Definitions

  • the present invention generally relates to electrical connectors for electrical equipment to report in a trunking of electrical conductors, such as a strong or weak currents, a switch, a TV socket, a fuse holder and a light luminous.
  • It relates more particularly to an electrical connector for an electrical equipment comprising a functional front portion and a rear portion housing metal connection blades.
  • Such electrical equipment may advantageously be a modular apparatus that can be associated with another complementary electrical apparatus so as to constitute a strip of electrical equipment.
  • the present invention also relates to an electrical system comprising, on the one hand, an electrical equipment to report in a chute, and, on the other hand, such an electrical connector.
  • FR 2,727,801 is a modular electrical apparatus which comprises, for its power supply, a terminal block adapted to be positioned on an end face of said electrical equipment.
  • This terminal has a closed upper front face to prevent access to the inside of the terminal block when it is installed, and a lower rear face closed.
  • fixing means are for example screw pads.
  • These screw pads are secured to conductive blades placed at the opposite end of the contact support of the terminal block. These conductive blades are intended to come into contact with the ends of the metal blades for electrical connection of the electrical equipment, when the terminal block is coupled to the latter by one of its end faces.
  • the aforementioned electrical connector is relatively complex, it is positioned in the chute at the same level as the electrical equipment to which it is connected in alignment thereof. It is therefore necessary to provide, in such an electrical connector, arrangements to prohibit access to its electrical connection means. In addition, he takes a certain place in the chute, a place that becomes unavailable for the installation of another electrical equipment in it.
  • Document FR 2 691 846 also discloses an electrical apparatus comprising a front part adapted to receive an electrical connection plug and a rear part provided with female contact pieces adapted to receive the pins of said plug and to connect to a cable of the power supply network.
  • the rear part of this electrical equipment comprises insulation displacement metal contacts in a number equal to the number of conductors of the power supply network, for connecting said electrical equipment to the power supply network.
  • This electrical apparatus also comprises a cover of insulating material which can be fitted on its rear part, this cover comprising guides arranged in correspondence with the metal insulation displacement contacts of the rear part of the body of the electrical equipment and adapted to receive the electrical conductors. the power supply network to position them in front of the slots of said insulation displacement metal contacts and make them penetrate into said slots during the nesting of said cover on the rear part of the body of the electrical equipment.
  • Such a system of electrical equipment and electrical connector is relatively complex and difficult to implement in a chute, without the intervention of a special clamp to help the establishment of the cover on the rear part of the apparatus electrical, so as to insert said conductors that the cover carries in the slots of the insulation displacement metal contacts of said electrical equipment.
  • a "vampire" type electrical connector for electrical equipment with screw terminals which comprises an insulating housing housing a connecting blade comprising, on one side of the housing, a pair of insulation displacement metal contacts for connection to a terminal. electrical conductor circulating in a chute, and on the other side of the housing, metal contacts for the connection of a terminal connected to an electrical wire connected to one of the terminals of said electrical equipment.
  • the present invention proposes a new electrical connector for electrical equipment comprising a functional front portion and a rear portion housing metal connection blades, which is simple to implement in the chute for electrically connecting the electrical equipment in question to the power supply network.
  • the present invention provides an electrical connector of the type defined in the introduction, characterized in that it comprises an insulating housing housing at least one connecting blade having, on one side of the housing, a pair of self-cutting metal contacts for the connection of an electrical conductor flowing in said chute, and, on the other side of the housing, at least one metal contact to be inserted in the rear part of the electrical equipment, via an orifice provided in its wall of bottom, to engage with one of the metal blades of electrical connection of said electrical equipment.
  • the electrical connector is advantageously positioned on the rear face of the electrical equipment to be reported on the base of a chute, so it becomes difficult to access when it is put in place on the electrical equipment placed in the chute and takes no additional place in the longitudinal direction of said chute, place that can be reserved for the establishment of another electrical equipment of the same type.
  • the electrical connector according to the invention comprising the insulation displacement metal contacts, is easily put in place on electrical conductors already circulating in the chute and then makes it possible to perform a subculture on an existing electrical network.
  • each connecting blade of the electrical connector according to the invention on each metal blade electrical connection of the electrical equipment, avoids a prewiring of the latter.
  • each connecting blade is arranged so that the pair of insulation displacement metal contacts and said metal contact extend in the same direction in opposite directions.
  • each connecting blade of the electrical connector is arranged so that said pair of insulation displacement metal contacts and said metal contact are aligned.
  • each connecting blade is arranged such that said pair of insulation displacement metal contacts is offset laterally with respect to said metal contact for connection with a metal blade of electrical connection of electrical equipment.
  • This lateral offset of the metal insulation displacement contacts relative to the metal contact for connection with a metal blade electrical connection of the electrical equipment allows to clear, right of these metal insulation displacement contacts, the space for a possible intervention of the installer with a clamp to clamp the insulation displacement metal contacts on the electrical conductor to be connected and ensure perfect stripping thereof.
