Claims (6)

  1. Furniture glider, especially for seating furniture, having
    a fastening device (9-11, 21-25) for attaching the glider (6, 20) to a piece of furniture, wherein the fastening device (9-11, 21-25) forms a receiver for a furniture foot (5) in which the furniture foot can be received in an interlocking and/or force-fitted manner; and
    a contact layer (15, 27) of viscoplastic material which is arranged on the underside of the glider (6, 20) and is so designed and arranged that there is no direct contact between the piece of furniture and the floor,
    characterised in that
    the fastening device (9-11, 21-25) is formed of a rigid plastics material and the contact layer (15, 27) is formed of a soft plastics material or elastomer material; and
    the contact layer (15, 27) is attached to the fastening device (9-12, 21-25) by vulcanisation.
  2. Furniture glider according to claim 1, wherein the contact layer (15, 27) forms a contact face for contact with the floor.
  3. Furniture glider according to claim 1, wherein there is arranged on the underside of the contact layer (15, 27) a reinforcement of a different material which forms the contact face.
  4. Furniture glider according to claim 3, wherein the reinforcement is composed of felt, wood, stainless steel, steel mesh or link material.
  5. Piece of furniture having at least one furniture foot (5) to which a furniture glider according to any one of claims 1 to 4 is attached, wherein the contact layer (15, 27) and/or the contact face extends beyond at least one edge of the furniture foot as far as the side of the piece of furniture, preferably in rounded form.
  6. Seating furniture having at least one furniture foot (5) to which a furniture glider according to any one of claims 1 to 4 is attached, wherein the contact face extends beyond the front edge of the seating furniture or beyond the back edge of the seating furniture.
