    Claims (17)

    1. A pacifier nipple (2) including a shaft portion (3) with a fastening portion (4) to fix the nipple (2) to a pacifier shield (5), and a head portion (6) which is located opposite the fastening portion (4), and is wide relative to the shaft portion (3), the head portion (6) of the pacifier (2) being hollow, characterised in that the head portion (6), on its external side, comprises at least one thickened region (7) forming at least one raised part (7'; 7a; 7b; 7c), and that at least one saliva flow channel (8) is provided in the thickened region (7).
    2. A pacifier nipple (2) according to claim 1, characterised in that the saliva flow channel (8) extends in the direction of the shaft portion (3).
    3. A pacifier nipple (2) according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that at least one saliva flow channel (8) extends linearly.
    4. A pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that at least one saliva flow channel (8) extends in a wave-shaped and/or zig-zag-like manner.
    5. A pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that at least two saliva flow channels (8) extending in parallel are provided.
    6. A pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that at least two mutually intersecting saliva flow channels (8) are provided.
    7. A pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that at least one raised part (7') of the thickened region (7) is designed to be rectangular in cross section.
    8. A pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that at least one raised part (7a) of the thickened region (7) is designed to be triangular in cross section.
    9. A pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that at least one raised part (7c) of the thickened region (7) is designed to be round in cross section.
    10. A pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that different flow channel configurations are provided in different thickened regions (7) of the head portion (6) .
    11. A pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that different thickened regions (7) are provided with raised parts (7', 7a, 7b, 7c) having different cross-sectional designs.
    12. A pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that the thickness of the nipple (2) between the bottom of each saliva flow channel (8) and the internal surface of the nipple (2) corresponds to the thickness between the internal and external surfaces of the nipple (2) outside the thickened region (7).
    13. A pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that an elevation (13) is provided in the vicinity of the saliva flow channel (8), on the end located opposite the fastening portion (4).
    14. A pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 13, characterised by a smooth edge zone surrounding the thickened region (7).
    15. A pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 14, characterised in that it has an oval cross section.
    16. A pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 15, characterised in that it is made of silicone, latex, rubber or synthetic materials.
    17. A pacifier (1) comprising a pacifier shield (5) and a pacifier nipple (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 16 attached thereto.
