The invention relates to a cooler arrangement consisting of several coolers, each have two collecting boxes equipped with connecting edges for cooling different fluids, their arranged in at least one row, the Flat pipes connecting collecting boxes transversely to the fan axis of the inside of the Radiator arrangement arranged radial fan run, with a front wall and a rear wall and with inlet and outlet lines for through at least one of the Cooler flowing fluid connected to manifolds. Furthermore concerns the invention a cooler with two collecting boxes, each by at least one Series of flat tubes are connected, for cooling various fluids, as well as with Inlet and outlet lines for fluid flowing through the flat tubes of the cooler, the are connected to collecting boxes.

The cooler arrangement is based on the previously unpublished patent application DE 199 50 753.8 by the applicant.

The inflow and outflow lines are relatively flat there and therefore save space educated. You connect the two in Fig. 1 there and the bottom arranged coolers, which are coolant coolers there. Entry and exit the inflow or outflow lines into and out of the respective collection box take place there over the end faces of the respective collection box. The inflow and outflow of the Coolant is on the back wall. With such training can not all conditions of use or connection are met.

The previously unpublished cooler arrangement consists of coolers which Have collecting tanks with tube sheets, as in Fig. 4 of the mentioned application is shown.

There are also coolers that are referred to as so-called tube-less coolers can. Such coolers go u. a. from previously unpublished applications the applicant DE 100 16 113.8, DE 100 19 268.8 or DE 100 33 070.3.

The object of the invention is the cooler arrangement and an individual To design coolers in such a way that they can be used for other application or connection conditions is suitable, the compact and space-saving design should be retained. The solution according to the invention results from the Characteristic of claim 1 and with respect to the cooler from claim 10. Claims 2 to 9 describe variants and developments of Cooler arrangement.

According to claims 1 and 10 it is provided that in direct or indirect Neighborhood to the end of the first and / or last flat tube of the least a flat pipe row a connecting piece is arranged, the mouth of which in the Collection box in a row with the mouths of the flat tubes in the Collection box is provided and the connection of the inflow or outflow line of the Cooler allowed.

Due to the inventive design, the cooler arrangement and the Cooler especially for connection conditions where the supply or Drain pipes in the immediate vicinity of the cooler arrangement or the cooler are arranged. In the case of cooler arrangements and coolers from the prior art connecting pieces are usually placed in the wall of the collecting tank, which are then provided with a corresponding opening with a soldering edge got to. Compared to such solutions, the present invention leads to a reduced Production expense. The cooler according to the invention therefore not only leads to Connection with the cooler arrangement to the advantages mentioned, but also when it is used as a single cooler. Therefore, in claim 10 Protection of the cooler is also provided regardless of the cooler arrangement.

Because the flat inlet and outlet pipes are in the vicinity of the end of the furthest outside or the first and / or last flat tube of the row in In or out of the collection box, the cooler arrangement is in terms of its Compactness has been further improved because in the previously unpublished Registration is the entry and exit from the front of the collection boxes has been provided, i.e. across the direction of the flat tubes and not in a row which takes up a little more space.

Direct neighborhood is understood to mean that the end of the flat tube and touch the connecting piece of the inlet or outlet lines or no component have between them, whereas in the indirect neighborhood z. B. the end a corrugated fin and / or a side part of the respective cooler and / or a Pipe base section between the end of the flat tube and the connecting piece is arranged.

The coolers of the arrangement are either (and preferably) coolers that Pipe trays, like those from the unpublished application DE 199 50 753.8 (claims 2 and 3) or at least some of the coolers can also according to the unpublished applications DE 100 16 113.8, DE 100 19 268.8 or DE 100 33 070.3 can be formed without a tube sheet, (claims 4 and 5). To this Registrations are expressly referred to. Features not mentioned here, which may be necessary for the feasibility are in the latter registrations included.

There are between the inlet or the outlet line and the respective collecting tank Connection piece arranged. The connecting pieces preferably have one rectangular flow cross-section. One end of the connection piece is like this trained that the end of the inlet or outlet line preferably by means of Plug connection can be connected. The connector itself can known execution. The connecting pieces are made of aluminum and they are coated with solder as needed, so that they are in the manufacture of each Cooler of the cooler assembly can be used and soldered at the same time.

If coolers with tube sheets are used, there is one with in the tube sheet Connection piece correlating opening available. The opening is from one Surrounded by a suitable soldering edge for connection to the Connection piece forms.

In the case of "tube-less" coolers, this ends in the collecting box the connecting piece similar to the ends of the flat tubes to a rectangle reshaped. One long side of the rectangle is on the long side of the furthest outside flat tube or on a side part. The opposite long side is the connecting edge of the front wall of the Collection box and the two short sides of the rectangle are of the Binding edges bordered on both long sides of the collecting box.

It is advantageous if the inlet and outlet lines are made of elbows, sleeves, T-pieces, Cross pieces and straight or curved pipe sections depending on Need can be plugged together in a modular manner. This allows Cooler arrangements, such as described in claim 7, in which different coolers of the arrangement are connected in terms of flow, be produced more economically and using the same parts.

The elbows, sleeves, T-pieces and cross pieces are preferably plastic injection molded parts, while the line sections are preferably made of aluminum exist, for example, are designed as extruded profiles.

The arrangement of the inflow and outflow lines is selected so that the Flow resistances to all coolers involved are approximately the same size, so that the Amount of coolant to flow through each cooler without use of flaps or other regulatory bodies is approximately the same size.

The invention is described below in some exemplary embodiments, for what purpose reference is made to the accompanying drawings. From it can if necessary, further features and effects of the invention can be found.

eine weitere Variante, ähnlich Fig. 11;another variant, similar to Fig. 11;

Die Kühleranordnung ist kastenförmig aufgebaut. The cooler arrangement is box-shaped.

1 shows the upper cooler 1 and the lower cooler 2 of the cooler arrangement, as well as a radial fan 10 with a fan axis V enclosed by the cooler arrangement . The cooler arrangement has a front wall F and a rear wall R. The flat tubes 8 of all coolers 1, 2, 6 run transversely to the fan axis V. They were only drawn in the upper cooler in FIG. 1. There are inflow lines 3z on the rear wall R and outflow lines 3a on the front wall F. The coolers 2, 6 and 7 are coolant coolers which are connected by means of the inlet and outlet lines 3z and 3a . The cooler 7 is arranged opposite the cooler 6 , as can be understood from FIG. 3. 1 to 5, arrows 4 have been drawn in, which indicate the flow direction of the lines 3z, 3a and the cooler 2, 6, 7 in the flat tubes 8, not shown. The flat tubes 8 thus run in the direction of the arrows 4 shown in FIGS. 2, 3 and 5 in the coolers 2 or 6 and thus transversely to the Vertilator axis V shown in FIG. 1. The coolant enters the corner region E on the rear wall R arranged. (Fig. 4) The outlet is located in the diagonal corner area E on the front wall F. (Fig. 3) As can be seen from FIG. 2, inter alia, the coolers 1, 2, 6 and 7 each have two collecting boxes 5, whereby in each case two header boxes 5 of adjacent coolers 2, 6 form an edge of the cooler arrangement, where they lie closely together in order to close off the cooler arrangement and thereby force the cooling air drawn in by the radial fan 10 to flow between the flat tubes 8 of the cooler. 2 and 4 show the collecting boxes 5 lying one against the other.

Mit einer solchen Ausbildung lassen sich beliebige Schaltungsvarianten, d. h. strömungstechnische Verbindungen mehrerer Kühler, kostengünstig realisieren.3 and 4, it can be seen that the inflow lines 3z and the outflow lines 3a consist of straight line sections 23, of curved line sections 26, of elbows 24 and cross pieces 25 which are connected by means of connecting sleeves 13 . They can be plugged together using seals. The straight and curved line sections 23; 26 consist of extruded aluminum profiles. The manifold 24 and the cross pieces 25 are molded plastic parts. With such a design, any circuit variants, ie fluidic connections of several coolers, can be implemented inexpensively.

The inflow and outflow lines 3z and 3a were now connected in a very special way to the header boxes 5 , whereby the cooler arrangement, but also each individual cooler, is given a very compact and space-saving design. The connections A encircled in FIGS. 1 to 5 are shown in more detail in several variants in FIGS. 6 to 12 and will be described below. As the figures mentioned show, only the connection A to individual coolers 2, 6 or 7 was shown, which, as described above, can then be combined to form the cooler arrangement. 6 to 8 depict a variant in which coolers 2, 6, 7 are used which have opposite tube sheets 11 , only one of which is shown. The tube sheets 11 have, in a known manner, a series of openings in which the ends of the flat tubes 8 open, they form mouths 22. Furthermore, the tube sheets 11 have an overhang 17, ie they go clearly over the first or last flat tube 8.1 of the flat tube series out. The protrusion 17 is also covered by the end of the collecting tank 5 , as shown in FIG. 6. In the projection 17 there is an opening 15 in which the end of a connecting piece 12 fits and thereby forms the mouth 21 . The opening 15 has a passage 18, comparable to the passages 18 at the openings provided for the flat tubes 8 , which form the openings 22 . In the exemplary embodiment, the passages 18 have been attached or directed inwards. In other exemplary embodiments not shown, the passages 18 point to the cooling network consisting of the flat tubes 8 and the corrugated fins 9 , that is to say to the outside. From Fig. 6 in particular the indirect neighborhood in this case between the connecting piece 12 and the last flat tube 8.1 of the flat tube series can be seen. The neighborhood is indirect because the cooler has a side part 16 and an outer corrugated fin 9 , which are arranged between the connecting piece 12 and the flat tube 8.1 . As in particular FIGS. 7 and 8 make clear, the mouth 21 of the connecting piece 12 is in a row with the mouths 22 of the flat tubes 8; 8.1 has been ordered. The cross section of the connecting piece 12, in the region of its mouth 21, is approximately rectangular in this embodiment. However, it can be of any shape, for example also round, and of course the opening in the tube sheet 11 must have the same shape. The connecting piece 12 also has at the end opposite the mouth 21 a connecting sleeve 13 which connects the inlet or outlet line 3z; 3a serves as already explained above. The collecting boxes 5 can, for. B. made of aluminum, then the connecting edges 20 of the header boxes 5 with the tube sheets 11 and at the same time all other items can be connected by soldering. However, this embodiment also allows the use of plastic collecting boxes 5 , in which case the connecting edges 20 must be mechanically and tightly connected to the tube sheets 11 in a known manner.

Wie aus der vorstehenden Beschreibung zu sehen ist, eignet sich diese Variante also insbesondere für vollständig aus Aluminium hergestellte Kühler.FIGS. 9 to 11 and FIG. 12 show two further variants of the connection A. These are coolers which have no tube sheets 11 . The variant from FIGS. 9 to 11 is first described. The ends 30 of the flat tubes 8; 8.1 have bends in such a way that the ends 30 lie against one another with the long sides 31 of adjacent flat tubes 8 and can be connected by means of soldering. The connecting piece 12 is arranged in indirect proximity to the first flat tube 8.1 . In between is the end of a corrugated fin 9 and a side part 16. The mouths 22 of the flat tubes 8; 8.1 and the mouth 21 of the connecting piece 12 are also in a row, as can be seen from FIGS. 10 and 11. The mouth 21 of the connecting piece 12 was formed approximately rectangular. After the flat tubes 8; 8.1, the corrugated fins 9 and the connecting piece 12 have been joined together , the collecting box 5 partially drawn in FIG. 9 is attached, in such a way that its connecting edges 20 the ends 30 of the flat tubes 8; 8.1 on the narrow sides 32 and include the end of the connecting piece 12 . Since the entire cooler of this embodiment is made of aluminum, all connections can be made with one soldering operation. As can be seen from the above description, this variant is therefore particularly suitable for coolers made entirely of aluminum.

Fig. 12 also shows a "tube-less" cooler, which is completely, ie including the header boxes 5, made of aluminum. In contrast to the cooler described in FIGS. 9 to 11, in FIG. 12 the connecting piece 12 was arranged in the direct vicinity of the first flat tube 8.1 . The rest of the training can be identical to that described. The graphic representation in FIG. 12 also contains the connecting edges 20, which are part of the collection box 5, which is otherwise not shown.
