Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Abkühlen von durch Warmverformen erzeugten metallischen Langprodukten, insbesondere Spundbohlen (S,S1) aus Stahl, bei dem in einem ersten Schritt die Langprodukte (S,S1) zunächst über ein Kühlzeitintervall (K1 - K5) durch Benetzen mit einem Kühlfluid um eine Temperaturdifferenz (ΔT1 - ΔT5) abgekühlt werden und bei dem in einem zweiten Schritt über ein Ausgleichszeitintervall (E1 - E4) ohne die Einwirkung eines Kühlmittels ein Temperaturausgleich in dem Langprodukt (S,S1) hergestellt wird, wobei die Schritte der stufenweisen Abkühlung und des Temperaturausgleichs wiederholt werden, bis eine Soll-Endtemperatur (ET) in dem Langprodukt (S,S1) erreicht ist. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren und die Vorrichtung ermöglichen es, Langprodukte, insbesondere Spundbohlen, auf kostengünstige Weise ohne die Gefahr einer ungewollten Verformung abkühlen zu lassen.
