Definitions
- the present invention relates to a workstation used to perform one or more several repetitive tasks determined by an operator during the manufacture of a product manufactured from several components, such as assembly, machining, control or similar, comprising a support table and several juxtaposed elements on the support table, said elements comprising at least one storage area and / or a support area and / or a transfer area and / or a work area.
- the elements are simply placed on the table support.
- the elements can then be removed at will to modify the structure of the work station.
- the elements are of different shapes and when they replacement, it creates empty spaces in which can fall components.
- Elements can also move relative to each other others under the effect of vibrations created for example by machines provided under the support table. In this case also, interstices may form in which accumulate dust and components.
- the present invention seeks to overcome these drawbacks by proposing a work with modular elements allowing the position to evolve with the product to assemble, easy to implement, allowing to obtain a post of a very clean, and allowing a wide range of combinations and geometries both in two and in three dimensions.
- the invention relates to a workstation of the kind indicated in the preamble, characterized in that it comprises a framework made up of at least two subunits having complementary shapes so as to join together others to be interchangeable and modular, each sub-unit being mounted integral with the support table and arranged to define compartments, each compartment having a shape adapted to receive an element and in this that said elements are maintained on the sub-units of the framework by means removable assemblies so that these elements are modular according to components handled, devices and accessories used, product to be manufactured and operator morphology.
- the sub-units of the framework are constituted a set of plates and multidirectional junction pieces, said plates having ends of shapes complementary to said pieces of junction so as to join together to constitute said compartments.
- These plates may include at least one through hole intended to receive a fixing screw to fix said plate to the support table.
- the sub-units of the framework are made up of a set of prefabricated frames of shapes adapted to receive an element, said frames having form-fitting means complementary to hang on to each other.
- These assembly means may consist of at least one vertical slide provided on each side of the frames, the slide on one side being offset from that provided on the side opposite of the frame.
- the sub-units of the framework are made up of a set of profiles with vertical slots complementary so as to fit together to form said compartment.
- the station according to the invention may include a finishing cover to cover the around the frame.
- Said cover may include on its inner face at least one rib engaging in a corresponding groove provided on the junction piece.
- the elements have a flange substantially at an angle straight and of sufficient width to rest, depending on the variants, on the end upper part of a junction piece or on the upper edge of their compartment, when the elements are placed in their compartment.
- said corners of the edge of the elements are chamfered and said removable assembly means consist of pins or screws having a head with a diameter greater than the empty space delimited by the chamfer and at least a rod intended to engage substantially in force or to be screwed into at least one orifice provided at the upper end of the junction piece.
- the elements have shapes adapted according to their functions. Some may for example have at least one raised edge to facilitate gripping components. Some may also have grooves on their bottom to facilitate gripping of the components.
- the substation can also be fitted with tall elements arranged on the elements already placed on the frame. In order to immobilize said elements of high form, it is provided between the pins and the high form elements of the pieces indexing. These indexing pieces may have an opening of dimensions adapted to marry the head of a pawn. They can be fixed by gluing, screwing, or riveting.
- the present invention also relates to the elements arranged to be used in the workstation defined above.
- the work station 1 comprises a support table 2 on which is mounted a frame 3.
- elements 4 comprising a work area or a storage area for the components to be assembled, or support areas accessories for example, or transfer zones of said components. All of these elements constitutes a workstation for performing repetitive tasks determined mandatory when it comes to assembling a product from different components contained in different elements.
- the framework 3 consists of a set of plates 5 and multidirectional connecting pieces 6.
- a plate 5 has ends 7 in the form of hooks and its center a through hole 8 intended to receive a screw 9 to fix the plate 5 on the support table 2.
- FIG. 4 shows another form of plate 5 ′ for which the ends 7 'consist of a split heel.
- the junction piece 6 has a slightly central shape 6a conical provided at its upper end with an orifice 16 whose role will be described below.
- the junction piece 6 has at its periphery four tabs 6b arranged substantially 90 ° and having a complementary T-section at the ends 7 in the form of hooks of the plate 5.
- two to four plates 5 can be assembled to each other by fitting the legs 6b into the ends 7 in shape of hooks, the legs 6b being chosen according to the desired directions, so as to form 10 square or rectangular compartments (cf. Fig. 1) in which are arranged the elements 4.
- the ends of the plates and the connecting pieces can present other complementary forms.
- An example of possible realization is shown in Figure 7.
- the 5 "plate has a complementary protruding end 7 "of grooves 11 provided on the workpiece junction 6 'so that the end 7 "of the plate 5" fits into the groove 11 to form the compartments 10.
- the elements 4 which are arranged on the frame 3 have a flange 12 substantially at right angles and wide enough to rest on part from the upper end of the junction pieces 6 when the elements 4 are placed in their compartment 10 to constitute the work station 1.
- the four corners of the rim 12 of the elements 4 are chamfered for example at 45 ° as shown more particularly in FIGS. 2 and 13 to 16.
- the elements 4 are held in their compartment 10 by means of pins 13 or screws, which are consisting of a head 14 and a rod 15 threaded or not, said rod 15 being adapted to enter slightly in force or to be screwed into the hole 16 provided at the end upper part of the junction piece 6.
- the head 14 has a diameter greater than the empty space bounded by the chamfer. Referring to Figure 2, when three elements 4 are arranged in their compartment 10, the chamfers of the flanges 12 define a empty space 17 in the shape of a square.
- the diameter of the head 14 must therefore be greater than the diagonal of this square 17 so as to be able to pinch the edge 12 of the elements 4 between the pin 13 and the junction piece 6.
- the rod in this case has a circular shape.
- FIG. 12 represents different embodiments of the rod 15 of the pin 13, namely semi-circular, flat, or with several nipples.
- Pawn 13 can of course be replaced by any other equivalent means, such as a screw, and in this case, the rod 15 is threaded.
- the periphery of frame 3 is provided with a finishing cover 18 which arrives flush with the elements 4 placed at the periphery of the station 1.
- Angular hood parts are arranged in the corners 18 'which have on their upper face a substantially circular cutout 48 to receive the rod 15 from a pin 13.
- the finishing cover 18 has three substantially U-shaped walls, one of the branches of the U being however smaller than the other, this branch 18a being intended to be clipped under the junction piece 6.
- the other branch 18b is clipped on the end upper part of the junction piece 6.
- the branches 18a and 18b of the U have grooves 19 which engage in corresponding grooves 20 provided respectively at the upper end and below the junction piece 6.
- the finishing cover 18 covers partially the rim 12 of the elements 4 placed at the periphery of the station 1.
- the figure 9 more particularly shows the branches 18a and 18b of the U with their grooves 19 which engage in corresponding grooves 20 of the junction piece 6.
- another embodiment of the framework 3 consists in assembling prefabricated frames 21 of square or other shape, adapted to receive the elements 4.
- These frames 21 can be used whole or in sections sectioned as required.
- the frames 21 have on their periphery vertical slides 22, the slides on one side being offset relative to the slides on the opposite side.
- a slide has one wing on one of its sides 23 constituting a stop.
- the frames 21 are assembled to each other in sliding the slide of a frame 21 in the slide of another frame 21 to form the frame 3, the wing 23 of a slide 22 abutting the slide 22 of the adjacent frame to strengthen the assembly.
- the elements 4 are placed in the frames 21, their rim 12 being of sufficient width to rest on the upper edge of their frame 21.
- FIG. 11 A third embodiment of the framework 3 is shown in Figure 11.
- the framework 3 consists of a set of profiles 24 having vertical slots 36 complementary so as to fit together for form different compartments in which the elements are placed 4.
- the elements 4 also have a sufficiently wide rim 12 so that it rests on the upper edge of the compartments thus formed.
- the different profiles can be fixed with screws 25.
- each frame 21 must be adapted to the dimensions of each item 4.
- the elements 4 have, within the rectangular tanks, studied shapes to perform different functions. We have already seen that certain elements 4 serve as component storage area 27. In this case, the elements 4 may include raised edges 26 making it easier to grip the components 27. The elements 4 can also have grooves 28 improving on their bottom also guiding and gripping the components 28.
- elements 40 have the form of armrests.
- Another element 41 has the form of a turntable.
- Items also include support zones, such as the element 42 used to support lighting as well that a fume extraction in the case of a post including an operation of welding.
- the elements 4 can also include transfer zones. We can by example provide an element with a drilled bottom serving as a discharge chute.
- the elements 4 can be produced by thermoforming. Some elements 4 may be made of a machinable material so that the interior can be machined and locally adapted to the product to be manufactured or the component contained.
- tall elements 45 arranged on elements 4 already in place on the framework 3.
- These high elements 45 can for example be arranged above the element in the form of a rotary plate 41, this plate comprising several compartments.
- This arrangement does not waste space since just leave access to some compartments, the others being accessible by turning the tray.
- the tall elements 45 being eccentric relative to the center of the workstation can be filled with components by working outside the Work zone.
- the tall elements rest on the pins 13.
- parts indexing 50 in order to immobilize the tall form elements 45 on the elements 4 already in place.
- These indexing pieces 50 have the shape of a small washer. thickness and have in their center an opening 51 of dimensions suitable for marry the shape of the head 14 of the pawn 13. It is obvious that the pieces indexing 50 may also be square, rectangle or polygonal.
- the indexing pieces 50 have on their upper face an adhesive layer 52 covered in a known manner by a protective film. So when construction of station 1, the indexing pieces 50 are arranged on the pins 13 (Fig. 18) then the tall form elements 45 are put in place. Once the position elements of high form 45 is optimized, the protective film is removed so to index the tall elements 45 in their final position (Fig. 19). In the case where a tall element 45 is removed, the indexing piece 50 remains integral with this one (Fig. 20). This high element 45 can then be easily repositioned and precisely.
- the indexing pieces 50 can be fixed by any other assembly means known such as screwing, riveting.
- the work station according to the invention is particularly simple to set up. he It suffices to assemble the different parts of the framework 3 to constitute the compartments 10 and place the elements therein 4. The elements 4 are then held with 13 pins or screws. The elements 4 are then easily removable. So, one or more elements 4 can be easily removed and replaced by one or several other elements of equivalent dimensions.
- the station according to the invention is therefore of extreme modularity and flexibility since the elements are modular in depending on the components handled, the devices and accessories used, the product to fabricate and operator morphology.
- the workstation geometry is also modular in both two and three dimensions. Each element of a same position can also be carried out in a matter specific to its function. We can thus provide an antistatic material, or a flexible material to resist abrasion.
- a single frame can be used to make different styles of workstations work, the position can evolve with the product to be manufactured. It is thus possible to provide elements according to the series to be manufactured and assemble the elements corresponding to a series in progress.
- the elements are assembled in a homogeneous manner, without gaps.
- the workstation is therefore aesthetic and stays clean.
- the different elements can be easily removed for cleaning at will. When an item is removed to clean it, it can be replaced by an identical replacement element so that the work can continue.
- the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described but extends to any modification and variant obvious to a person skilled in the art.
- the elements and the framework may have other forms than rectangular, such as hexagonal or triangular, the shapes of the compartments remaining complementary to those of the elements so as to receive them.
