Claims (10)

  1. A cooker (1) comprising a cooking chamber (2), a fan chamber (4), an air guide plate (3), a ventilation device e.g. in the form of an impeller (10) or the like, a heater (11, 12) and a catalyst (14), wherein the air guide plate (3) has at least one inlet and one outlet opening for circulating air between the cooking chamber (2) and the fan chamber (4), the ventilation device (10) is adapted to convey air including fat vapours, odour particles and/or hydrocarbons in finely atomised form from the cooking chamber (2) to the catalyst (14), the catalyst (14) gives up energy and purifies the gas directed towards it, the air purified by the catalyst (14) and/or the energy liberated in the form of heat during purification can be distributed into the cooking chamber (2) by the ventilation device (10), the catalyst (14) is disposed substantially concentrically round the heater (11, 12) and the heater (11, 12) is disposed concentrically around the ventilation device (10), characterised by a baffle surface (15) disposed substantially concentrically around the heater (11, 12), the heater (11, 12) being disposed at least partly in the turbulent region around the baffle surface (15).
  2. A cooker according to claim 1, characterised in that the catalyst is in the form of a number of elements (14) mounted on a casing (13).
  3. A cooker according to claim 1 or 2, characterised by an air supply pipe (16) for introducing fresh air in controlled manner.
  4. A cooker according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the baffle surface (15) is disposed in the rear region of the cooking chamber and in the blowing-out direction.
  5. A cooker according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the baffle surface is in the form of a ring (15) for separating solid and/or liquid particles from a volume of gas.
  6. A cooker according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the heater is in the form of at least one and preferably two annular heating members (11, 12).
  7. A cooker according to any of the preceding claims, characterised by an energy accumulator and/or energy withdrawal system having catalytic properties.
  8. A cooker according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the cooking chamber, the energy accumulator and/or the energy withdrawal system, and/or the heater is equipped and/or lined with a catalyst at least at places.
  9. A cooker according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the catalyst has a surface having a structure measuring up to a maximum of 500 µm and is self-cleaning.
  10. A cooker according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the catalyst contains aluminium oxide and/or platinum.
