Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a protective cap consisting of an elastically deformable hard shell and one of these receiving shell, the hard shell consisting of an upper, part of the skull cap resting on the skull cap, a forehead part, a back part of the head and two Side parts exist.
A protective cap designed as an industrial bump cap The above type is the subject of DE 196 21 980 A1. Bump caps of this type protect in particular against injuries when bumping against hard or sharp-edged components or live parts. You bid opposite Hard hats have the advantage of being a much higher one Offer comfort because they don't need straps that run under the chin to cover the head on your head to fix because they are lighter than protective helmets and because they’re closer to the head, so they’re one less disability when working in narrow areas represent. Furthermore, industrial bump caps tend to be worn as protective helmets because you give them the look of a usual hat, for example a baseball cap, can give.
The security of such strapless protective caps against falling from the head is naturally less than that of a helmet attached to the head by straps. she can be increased, however, that the protective cap is very precisely adapted to the head size so that it tight on the head. Because the size of the heads of the However, people are very different, requires one such a tight fit the manufacture of many protective caps different sizes because the hard shell immediately touched the head and therefore an adjustment with the previously known means is not possible. For this in One can contrast with protective helmets with a few sizes be satisfied because this is an adjustable and therefore have the head size adjustable support frame so that the shape of the hard shell of the hard hat sitting Safety helmet on the head is not affected.
The invention is based on the problem of a protective cap of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that their hard shell as large as possible the size of the head the wearer is customizable.
This problem is solved according to the invention in that the hard shell has at least one joint, which through two symmetrical from opposite sides in the hard shell leading recesses is formed and the sleeve adjusting means for adjusting the circumference of her lower edge, which reaches over her head.
Through this design of the protective cap, one can Adjust the sleeve's adjustment means so that it lies firmly against the wearer's head and the Protective cap is held very securely on the head. Thereby it is ensured that the protective cap is not from the Head falls when the wearer lags far behind, for example bends in front or if the case is designed as a cap strong wind affects the screen. Through this Design according to the invention can also be done with only a few different cap sizes achieve that Protective cap is always tight on the head of the wearer. Furthermore, there is a firm fit over the area of application going beyond as an industrial bump cap Possible uses. For cyclists, for example so far, no doubt for security reasons sensible wearing of a hard hat is very limited enforced because non-athletes look at such Protective helmets interfere and in general the closing of the Belts considered annoying after putting on the protective helmet becomes. The protective cap according to the invention can do that Look like a normal peaked cap, like they do anyway likes to be worn by cyclists and offers because of of their tight fit on the head even without an under the straps to guide the chin provide very good protection from injuries if the cyclist falls. Also at other sports would be wearing such protective caps sensible. For example, there is hardly a sailor who do not frequently head to parts of the body when sailing Bumps sailboat violently or its head even at one rapid sailing maneuvers hit by the mainsail tree becomes. At the same time, sailors almost always wear a peaked cap, so that the protective cap according to the invention also for sailing would be optimal, especially since it could be worn by third parties is not recognizable.
The hard shell is particularly well suited to each Adjust head shape when under continuing education of the invention in the cranial part near the forehead part and the back of the head each have a joint has, which in each case by a pair of in the side parts leading into the area of the skull cap part Recesses is formed.
To further improve the deformability of the protective cap it helps if the width of the recesses is up to decreases towards the end of the respective recess.
Impact forces on the hard shell are evenly distributed over one larger area of the skull spread when on the An elastic padding part on the inside of the skull cap part is attached.
The hard shell can be customized with upholstered parts be equipped if the cushion part detachable is connected to the hard shell.
It is often desirable to have protective caps with earmuffs are equipped, for example, the carrier protect against damage from sound. That can be on very easy way to do that on the side panels Brackets for side part extensions attached are.
The shell can be independent of the hard shell, for example machine washable if the Removable hard shell is arranged in the shell. Such a separation is particularly advantageous if because of the movements in the washing machine at the temperatures that occur Deformation of the hard shell comes. The invention Separation enables the hard shell to be a separate component wash by hand in the sink. Manufacturing too the protective cap is easier due to this separation, because this makes a complete protective cap manufacturer Manufacture cover and only afterwards that of one Suppliers must assemble the delivered hard shells. This also gives the possibility of the covers for to design identical hard shells differently. Farther can the manufacturer of the hard shell regardless of Check the case to see if it meets the security requirements enough.
The adjustment means for the protective cap are optimally designed, if the adjustment means of the cover one in the back of the head trained as a pocket open at the top Straps have the edge of the hard shell on both sides overlaps and the one on the head Side has a textile adhesive strip on which another Textile adhesive strips of another belt is to be pressed, which is attached to the back of the head at the bottom of the case and to turn from outside to inside at first Belt is formed.
If, for example, workers have the protective cap without a hard shell use it because it is the weight of the hard shell feel disturbing, then this circumstance falls to outsiders on if the shell and / or the hard shell means by which the presence of the hard shell underneath the case is visible when wearing the protective cap.
