- This application foot 1 is equipped with an application bar 2, around which a coated carrier tape 3, which comes from a supply spool (not shown) of the device, is guided around the order bar 2. After the transfer of the layer 4 to a substrate, it is passed on as a blank tape 5 to a winding spool (not shown). With regard to the smooth running of the device and a flawless transfer of the film to the substrate, it has been found that such an application foot 1 is not satisfactory.

- the cantilever arm 9 preferably has ribs 11 which are directed in a slow direction. Since the clip-like sliding element 15 made of polytetrafluoroethylene is also elastic, this is achieved by applying pressure to the entire transfer width of the ribbon even with an uneven substrate and reliably preventing bubbles from forming, similar to an elastic roller, so that a smooth coating takes place on the substrate.
