- AT-PS 232840 is such a calender for paper or the like Known material, with a series of sloping one above the other arranged rollers, which are opposite to calenders with a vertical Distinguish roller stacks in that at least two are opposed Roll rows arranged inclined to each other and to the horizontal are provided, which are common in two rows, driven Roll hit, with all rolls in a common machine frame are stored.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a calender according to the preamble of To create claim 1, which inclined the web guide in a calender with two arranged stack of rollers each allowed from top to bottom while doing so is cheaper to buy and operate.
- roller stacks can be arranged in a V-shape as well as in a roof shape. Furthermore, the two roll stacks with selectable angles less than or equal to 90 ° be inclined to each other. An adaptation to each existing space is possible.
- the web guide can selectable shortening between the two roller stacks. To this way, the smoothing result can be directly influenced. In addition, the stability of the calender stand increases, which means that Vibrations that negatively influence the smoothing result can be avoided.
- the two roll stacks comprise hard and soft rolls, wherein the working gap between a hard and a soft roller are trained.
- Such soft nips result in a much more uniform Compaction of the web as hard nips between two hard rollers.
- the two roll stacks can each have identical rolls, which based on the direction of travel of the web to each other in reverse Order are arranged.
- the resulting reduced number of rollers is simplified warehouse logistics and reduces maintenance costs.
- a 2 X 4 roller arrangement is preferred, in which the aforementioned advantages are optimized.
- Undesired vibrations of the roller system can be caused by the use of different Roll diameter avoided for all rolls in a roll stack become.
- a calender 1 for the two-sided treatment of a web, in particular a paper and textile web
- the roller arrangement of two Roll stack 2, 3 from a selectable number each in a row arranged rollers 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, 9, 10, 11 comprises one above the other are arranged.

- Roll stack 3. This is achieved according to FIG. 1 in that the other Roll stack 3 with a translational offset 19 parallel to Roll stack axis A of a roll stack 2 and in the direction of the bottom lying nips 14 of this roll stack 2 is arranged, namely opposite a mirror-symmetrical arrangement of the other roll stack 3 to the a roll stack 2.
- the length of the translational offset 19 can be selected, the path between the nips 14 and 15, also changing gap called, increasingly shortened with increasing size of the offset 19.
- the roll stack 2 and the roll stack 3 preferably comprise hard ones and soft rollers to form soft nips for double-sided treatment the web 18. According to the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 each roll stack 2, 3 further comprises four rolls.
- the one roll stack 2 has an upper outer roll 4 comprises, which is designed as a hard roller.
- This hard roller 4 forms one top soft nip 12 with a soft intermediate roller 5,
- the soft Intermediate roller 5 has a medium soft nip 13 with a hard intermediate roller 6 forms.
- the hard intermediate roller 6 forms a lower soft nip 14, with a lower outer roller 7, which is designed as a soft roller.
- the two Intermediate rolls 5, 6 thus experience a double rollover.
- the rolls 4, 5, 6, 7 which form the roll stack 2 can all be different from one another have different roller diameters.
- the roll diameter of the Intermediate rolls 5, 6 are preferably smaller than the roll diameters of the outer rolls 4, 7, the roll diameter of the hard intermediate roll 6 is preferably smaller than the roll diameter of the soft Intermediate roller 5.
- the roll diameters of the outer rolls 4, 7 can be selected in such a way that either the upper or the lower outer roller has a larger roller diameter exhibit. 1, the roll diameter is the soft Outer roller 7 larger than the roller diameter of the hard outer roller 4. Die Differences in the roll diameters can be selected, preferably the Difference between the roll diameters of the outer rolls 4, 7 and Intermediate rollers 5, 6 is greater than the difference between the outer rollers 4, 7 or the intermediate rollers 5, 6.
- the rolls 4, 5, 6, 7 of the roll stack 2 are at least from one end resilient.
- a hydraulic cylinder 20 is used to close the roll stack 2 provided that are also used to load the roll stack 2 can.
- the roller stack 2 serves to smooth a first side of the web 18, smoothing the side that contacts the respective hard roller 4, 7.
- the second roll stack 3 is for smoothing a second side of the web 18 provided that preferably the same rollers 8, 9, 10, 11 of the first Roll stack 2 in the reverse order based on the direction of flow the web, i.e. the upper outer roller 4 is in the second Roll stack 3 arranged as the lower outer roller 11, while the lower Outer roll 7 of the first roll stack 2 as the upper outer roll 8 of the second Roll stack 3 is arranged.
- the intermediate rolls 9, 10 of the second Roll stack 3 are then identical to the intermediate rolls 5, 6 of the first Roll stack 2 and have only reversed their positions.
- the web 18 passes through the second Roll stack 3 from top to bottom.
- the one from the bottom nip 14 of the first Roll stack 2 in the second roll stack 3 guided web 18 is there inserted in the uppermost nip 15 between the rollers 8, 9 and is there as well as in the nips 16, 17 each smoothed on their second side, since this is the hard Rollers 9, 11 contacted.
- the rolls 8, 9, 10, 11 of be charged at least one end.
- a further hydraulic cylinder 21 is provided, which also for Load of the second roll stack 3 can be used.
- the two roll stacks 2, 3 spaced such that the lowermost nip 14 of the first Roll stack 2 the top nip 15 of the second roll stack 3 spatially is approximated to a straight, short transfer of the web 18 from the first roll stack 2 into the second roll stack 3.
- the upper rollers 4, 8 and / or the lower rollers 7, 11 are preferably as bend-controllable rollers. All rollers 4 to 11 preferably have own drive.
- the attachment of rollers 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, 9, 10, 11 of each roll stack 2, 3 is preferably carried out on calender stands 22, 23.

- the rolls 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, 9, 10, 11 of the two roll stacks 2, 3 be reversed.
- the first roll stack 2 is the upper one Outer roller a soft roller, so that first the second side of the web 18, which contacts a hard intermediate roller, is smoothed, for example is formed by the underside of one paper web
- the second Roller stack the top outer roller is a hard roller, so the first side, which contacts a hard intermediate roller, is smoothed, for example by the top of a paper web is formed.
- the number of rollers of the two roll stacks are different. According to the web characteristics can, for example, use more rollers to smooth a product side are used as for smoothing the other web side.
- FIG. 2 differs from that of FIG. 1 described embodiment in that the angle a is only 70 ° is, whereby the web guide in addition to the offset 19 a shortening experiences in comparison to an angle a of 90 °. Otherwise, the above statements to Fig. 1 here accordingly.
- two roll stacks 2, 3 also inclined differently to the horizontal H. be set up, so asymmetrical to a vertical.
- the further exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 3 differs from that 1 described embodiment in that the two roll stacks 2, 3 are arranged with reversed inclination direction, creating a V-shaped Arrangement of the two roll stacks 2, 3 follows.
- the first roll stack 2 is accordingly with respect to a horizontal footprint H with a falling inclination and the second roll stack 3 is arranged with an increasing inclination, while the reverse is the case for Fig. 1.
- the two roll stacks 2, 3 are thus arranged and working separately again with respect to a crossing point K of the two roll stack axes A, B in such a way spaced from each other that to shorten a path between the two roll stacks 2, 3 a nip 17 closest to the crossing point K one Roll stack 3 with a smaller distance to the intersection point K is arranged as a nip 14 closest to the intersection point K other roll stack 2.
- This is shown in FIG. 1, for example achieved that the other roll stack 2 with a translational offset 19th along the roller stack axis B of one roller stack 3 in the direction of uppermost nips 15 of this roll stack 3 is arranged, namely compared to a mirror-symmetrical arrangement of the other roll stack 2 to the one roll stack 3.
- the length of the translational offset is 19 selectable to the web guide between the nips 14 and 15, also changing gap called predeterminable shortening.
- the angle a can also be selected.
- the other roll stack 2 can be compared to the one Roll stack 3 be offset that the other roll stack 2 with respect to one through K extending vertical axis of symmetry over a translational Offset is shifted upwards along its roll stack axis A, whereby its lowest nip 14 with the uppermost nip 15 of the roll stack 3 same size is approachable.
