Verfahren zur Kalibrierung einer Maschine zur Herstellung einer Wellpappebahn umfassend folgende Schritte: a) Bereitstellen einer Maschine zur Herstellung einer Wellpappebahn, welche mindestens eine Wellenspitzen (52) aufweisende Wellbahn (51) und mindestens eine mit den Wellenspitzen (52) verklebte Kaschierbahn (53) aufweist, umfassend: i) mindestens eine der Formgebung der Wellbahn (51) dienende Riffelwalze (3), welche aufweist eine Riffelwalzen-Achse (7), um die die Riffelwalze (3) drehbar ist, ein erstes Riffelwalzen-Ende mit einem ersten Riffelwalzen-Lagerzapfen (31), der in einem ersten Riffelwalzen-Lager (33) gelagert ist, und ein zweites Riffelwalzen-Ende mit einem zweiten Riffelwalzen-Lagerzapfen (33'), der in einem zweiten Riffelwalzen-Lager (31') gelagert ist, ii) eine Leimauftrags-Einrichtung (13) zum Auftrag von Leim auf die Wellenspitzen (52) mit einer Leimauftragswalze (22), die eine Leimauftragswalzen-Achse (28) aufweist, um die die Leimauftragswalze (22) drehbar ist und die parallel zu der Riffelwalzen-Achse (7) verläuft, ein erstes Leimauftragswalzen-Ende mit einem ersten Leimauftragswalzen-Lagerzapfen (25) aufweist, der in einem ersten Leimauftragswalzen-Lager (27) gelagert ist, das dem ersten Riffelwalzen-Lager (33) zugeordnet ist, ein zweites Leimauftragswalzen-Ende mit einem zweiten Leimauftragswalzen-Lagerzapfen (25') aufweist, der in einem zweiten Leimauftragswalzen-Lager (27') gelagert ist, das dem zweiten Riffelwalzen-Lager (33') zugeordnet ist, zwischen sich und der Riffelwalze (3) einen Beleimungsspalt (30) einer Breite B begrenzt, und zur Einstellung der Breite B des Beleimungsspaltes (30) auf die Riffelwalze (22) zustellbar ist, und iii) eine Kalibrier-Einrichtung (37) zur Einstellung der Breite B des Beleimungsspaltes (30) mit mindestens einer Andrück-Einheit (38, 38') zum Andrücken eines Leimauftragswalzen-Lagers (27, 27') gegen das zugeordnete Riffelwalzen-Lager (33, 33') mit einer Andrück-Kraft A, mindestens einer Kraftmeß-Einheit (41, 41') zur Messung einer Lager-Anpreß-Kraft P zwischen dem angedrückten Leimauftragswalzen-Lager (27, 27') und dem zugeordneten Riffelwalzen-Lager (33, 33'), und mindestens einer Stell-Einheit (42, 42') zur Einstellung eines Lager-Abstandes L zwischen einem angedrückten Leimauftragswalzen-Lager (27, 27') und dem zugeordneten Riffelwalzen-Lager (33, 33'), b) Positionieren der Leimauftragswalze (22) in einer Ausgangsposition, in der die Leimauftragswalze (22) nicht in Kontakt mit der Riffelwalze (3) steht, und c) Reduktion mindestens eines Lager-Abstandes L durch die Stell-Einheit (42), bis die Lager-Anpreß-Kraft P durch einen Kontakt von Leimauftragswalze (22) und Riffelwalze (3) abfällt.
