Bei geschlossenem Staubraumdeckel (8) ist die elektrische Verbindung hergestellt, die aber beim Deckelöffnen zur Sicherheit automatisch unterbrochen wird und somit die Elektrobürste und ggf. auch den Staubsauger (1) ausschaltet. Dies geschieht dadurch, daß das Steckerteil (29a) am beweglichen Scharnierhebel (10) beim Aufschwenken des Staubraumdeckels (8) aus dem Kupplungsteil (29b) herausgezogen wird. Zur Steckdose (21) hin sind die elektrischen Leitungen (28) verdeckt im Staubraumdeckel (8) ver legt. Dafür sind entsprechend ausgeformte Leitungskanäle (30) vorgesehen. Die Leitungen liegen im kritischen Schwenkbereich des Deckels geschützt und abgedeckt, so daß Leitungsbrüche oder ein Abrieb der Leitungsisolation durch das wiederholte Schwenken des Staubraumdeckels (8) bzw. beim Überreißen des Deckels (8) nicht auftreten können. Die Anordnung der Gerätesteckdose zusammen mit dem Sauganschlußstutzens im Staubraumdeckel bringt den Vorteil, daß bei einem Staubbeutetwechsel das Verbindungskabel zur Elektrobürste in der Gerätesteckdose verbleiben kann. Durch die gegebene Nähe der Steckdose zum Saugschlauch-Anschlußstutzen ergibt sich konstruktiv gesehen ferner die einfache Möglichkeit, im Bedarfsfall oder bei Änderung einer Staubsaugerbaureihe eine elektrische Sauganschlußstutzen-Kupplung im Deckel von der Steckdose aus zu verdrahten.Advantageously, the hinge region of the dust chamber cover (8) is free of loosely laid cables or cable bundles. Vacuum cleaner (1) having an appliance housing (5) and a socket (21) for an electrical brush or the like, the housing (5) being provided in a front lidded dust-collection chamber (12) and in a covered rear housing chamber (19) for receiving an exhaust fan, possibly with an electronic speed control device, with a cable drum for supplying power to the fan motor as well as to the electrical connections for the socket (21), the socket (21) for the electrical brush (4) or the like being arranged in the lid (8) of the dust-collection chamber, and the electrical leads (28) to the socket (21) being guided from the rear housing chamber (19) concealed in the lid hinge (7),
    characterised in that
    a lever (10) of the lid hinge (7) is combined with a plug-in line connector (29).
  2. Vacuum cleaner according to claim 1, characterised in that the plug-in line connector (29) comprises a plug part (29a) and a coupling part (29b) which may be separated from the latter.
  3. Vacuum cleaner according to claim 2, characterised in that the plug part (29a) is formed on the preferably displaceable hinge lever (10) and the coupling part (29b) is arranged in a fixed position on the appliance housing (5) or respectively in the side wall (9) of the rear housing chamber (19).
  4. Vacuum cleaner according to claim 3, characterised in that the plug part (29a) is formed as one piece with the hinge lever (10) and the coupling part (29b) is moulded into the lower part of the appliance housing (5; 11; 9).
  5. Vacuum cleaner according to claim 4, characterised in that the hinge lever (10) having the plug part (29a) is mounted in the appliance housing (5) so as to be displaceable, and the electrical socket connection is separated when the (8) of the dust-collection chamber is lifted up.
