- the temperature profile before rolling and / or Straightening and / or stretching the metal strip are generated. But there is also the possibility that the temperature profile after rolling and / or straightening and / or drawing stretching of the metal strip is generated.
- the invention goes first of all from the knowledge that zone-by-zone warming of the metal strip due to the thermal expansion only to change the thickness of the metal strip but especially to a change in the tension distribution in the Metal tape leads. For example, local Warming reduce the tensile stress locally. But there is one Relationship between the leveling level (e.g. leveling level or degree of stretch) and the tension exists the level of leveling can be manipulated in a targeted manner over the range.
- the temperature profile can also be used the winding of the metal strip are generated. This is especially with metal strips made of alloys with a tendency to crawl and z. B. positive thickness profile appropriate. If such a tape is wound up under tension, it is concentrated the train on the middle of the belt. Im wound up With conventional methods, coils are high Tangential and radial stresses, which are the creep-yield limit can exceed. - Fig. 1 shows that several of the rollers 10 contacting the metal strip 1 Skin pass mill 2 for keeping the roller temperature constant be warmed or cooled across the range. To do this 2 more in the area of the rollers 10 of the skin pass mill Heating elements 11 arranged.
- FIGS. 2 to 5 a conventional method for leveling metal strips in the course of skin pass rolling with a strip temperature that is constant over the width will first be explained with reference to FIGS. 2 to 5.
- the metal strip to be leveled initially has pronounced edge waves before rolling, ie the plastic stretch is greater in the edge region of the strip than in the middle of the strip.
- FIG. 2 shows the distribution of the (relative) plastic elongation ⁇ pl, o (y) over the strip width B before rolling. Since the metal tape passes through the skin pass mill at train, results in the total strain ⁇ ges, o (y) from the sum of plastic strain ⁇ pl, o (y) and the elastic strain ⁇ el, o (y).
- the tape tension is so high that all tape strips are under tension and the total elongation ⁇ tot, o (y) is constant over the tape width. Therefore, the distribution of the elastic strain ⁇ el, o (y) over the bandwidth results directly from the distribution of the plastic strain ⁇ pl, o (y) (cf. FIG. 3).
- the width of the metal strip is plastically lengthened by the skin pass rolling in accordance with the skin pass degree ⁇ D (y).
- the distribution of the skin pass degree ⁇ D (y) over the bandwidth is shown in FIG. 4.
- the original plastic strain ⁇ pl, o (y) is also shown in FIG. 4.
- Fig. 4 makes it clear that the skin pass with the skin pass degree ⁇ D (y) in the middle of the belt is more elongated than in the edge areas. Accordingly, the new plastic strain ⁇ pl, 1 (y) results with a flatter course over the bandwidth than that of the original plastic strain ⁇ pl, o (y). This is particularly clear from a comparative analysis of FIGS. 2 and 5. As a result, the edge waves were reduced by skin pass rolling, but not completely eliminated. Complete elimination is not possible with the conventional methods because the distribution of the skin pass degree ⁇ D (y) cannot be varied arbitrarily by mechanical means. In the exemplary embodiment it is assumed that the adjustment ranges of the flatness actuators have been fully utilized.
- FIG. 6 shows the plastic elongation ⁇ pl, o (y) of the metal strip to be planed in the left area.
- a temperature profile that can be varied over the bandwidth is now generated by zone-by-zone heating.
- This temperature profile leads to a thermal expansion profile ⁇ th, 0 (y), as is shown in the right area of FIG. 6.
- ⁇ th, 0 (y) the thermal expansion profile
- 10 shows that there is a connection between the tensile stress ⁇ Z in the metal strip and the skin pass degree ⁇ D.
- FIG. 11 shows that not only the skin pass degree ⁇ D , but also the degree of stretching ⁇ st depends on the tensile stress ⁇ Z during stretch bending straightening or tensile stretching, so that the above considerations can readily be transferred to straightening or tensile stretching.
- a ripple at a constant strip temperature is assumed after rolling 20 I-units.
- the average tension ⁇ Z is 80 MPa.
- the dependence of the skin pass degree ⁇ D on the tensile stress ⁇ Z is 0.1% per 50 MPa.
- the elastic modulus E of the metal strip is 200,000 MPa.
- the degree of skin pass ⁇ D at the edge of the metal strip is reduced by 0.02%. This corresponds to a value of 20 * 10 -5 and consequently 20 I-units compared to the middle. This means that the undulations in the edge area of the metal strip are theoretically completely eliminated. However, it must be taken into account that the thickness of the metal strip entering the roll gap in the edge area has also increased by a factor of 5 * 10 -5 , so that a slightly higher degree of skin pass results with a constant roll gap geometry. However, this effect is negligibly small, so that with the method according to the invention, ripples or band sabers in the edge area can actually be almost completely eliminated.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for leveling Metal bands, especially for removing ripples and band sabers, when rolling and / or straightening and / or Stretching the respective metal strip under the given Belt tension. - Rolling means cold rolling and skin pass rolling or finishing rolling. Straightening is, for example, multi-roll straightening or to understand stretch bending reports. Moreover The invention includes the leveling of sheets and plates made of metal.
With the known methods for leveling metal strips by rolling, straightening and / or drawing stretching, in particular Rarely remove ripples or band sabers completely, so that an ideal flatness is rarely achieved becomes. Ideal flatness means that all tape strips over the Bandwidth are the same length when the band is unloaded and the temperature in the band is constant. Unplannedness not on differences in length of individual strip strips, but based on residual bending moments such. B. curvatures in the longitudinal and / or transverse direction (coil set or crossbow) should not be taken into account here. As well are also secondary effects due to uneven in the Band level of distributed transverse stresses not dealt with here. The residual ripples after cold rolling are typically up to 100 I-units, after the skin pass or Roughing up to 30 I-units and after straightening up to 10 I-units. An I unit corresponds to a difference in length two tape strips in a metal tape of 10 µm / m. The Flatness is z. B. off-line on flatness measuring tables or can be measured online with flatness measuring rollers. Through modern rolling technologies with actuators to improve flatness (Roll bending or roll axial displacement) Flatness of the belts further improved via flatness regulations. An ideal flatness or an almost ideal flatness is still not available.
For the rest, it is known when rolling metal strips, to improve the flatness, the roll gap geometry over the Change the width of the rollers by a zone-wise thermal Influencing over a plurality of in the rolling area arranged heating elements takes place. In this context it also describes the possibility of the metal band to influence itself by supplying thermal energy, so that thicker metal strip longitudinal zones result from thermal expansion, which are stronger than the other longitudinal zones during the rolling process are influenced (see. DE 27 43 130). Through this However, measures are the problems that arise in the course of the Eliminated from ripples and band sabers, not been significantly influenced.
The invention has for its object a method of type described at the outset in such a way that the flatness of the metal band on simple and at the same time inexpensive way to improve and in particular Waviness and / or band sabers almost completely suppressed become.
- the metal strip is plastically deformed by a predetermined amount with a leveling level that can be changed over the bandwidth,
- a temperature profile that can be changed over the strip width and, if appropriate, the specified strip length, is influenced in the metal strip by zone-wise heating or cooling to influence the tension distribution,
- and the leveling level is adjusted by changing the tension distribution.
The temperature profile before rolling and / or Straightening and / or stretching the metal strip are generated.
So erfolgt z. The idea of the invention should be based on the example of Skin pass rolling are explained. A metal band with Waviness in the edge area shows regularly in the edge area an increased plastic stretch while in the middle of the band the plastic elongation is slight or even at most is not present. In the course of skin pass rolling, this becomes Band stretched plastically across the range, with a level of skin-pass varying over the range. So z. B. in the middle of the band a stronger plastic Elongation, while in the marginal areas with great plastic Elongation is less or no plastic at all Elongation takes place. The difference between plastic stretch in the marginal area and in the middle of the band, The skin pass rolls consequently, so that the ripples are reduced become. A constant over the entire range plastic stretching can not be achieved because the skin pass level with the known mechanical Can not set means arbitrarily. Here now the Invention. For example, the edge areas warms more than the center of the belt, so the tension decreases in the marginal areas. However, the level of skin passing increases constant rolling force with increasing tensile stress. Out of it it follows immediately that the degree of skin passage in the heated edge areas decreases. Accordingly, a distribution of the level of skin passage over the bandwidth generate that not only with mechanical means is achievable. As a result, the ripples widen decreased. Further details are in the description of the figures listed. The example of skin pass rolling explained invention can also be readily in stretch bending straightening or train stretching, because here too the plastic extension depends The degree of stretch depends on the tensile stress.
In the context of the invention, the temperature profile can also be used the winding of the metal strip are generated. The tapes will be some time later processed again, they are with center bowls afflicted. Now the tape is in the middle before winding heated or cooled at the edges, so the tensile stress in the middle of the belt and thus the belt tension in the Coil reduced.
According to a preferred embodiment, the temperature distribution of the metal strip on the inlet side or outlet side measured the bandwidth. The one to be created in the metal strip Temperature profile is dependent on the measured or controlled temperature distribution. This ensures that the temperature distribution in the metal band actually the one you want Temperature distribution corresponds. Consequently, the Flatness of the metal strip through the control or regulation continue to improve. Thereby a traversing temperature measurement across the bandwidth. In The inlet side or outlet side is expedient Measurement of the temperature distribution for the target / actual control the flatness control close to a flatness measuring point, e.g. B. a flatness measuring roller or contactless by means of one or more traversing pyrometers.
According to preferred further training, the temperature profile after rolling and / or straightening and / or drawing stretching zone-wise cooling or heating of the metal strip is evened out. As a result, a flat tape can be wound up become.
According to a further proposal of the invention, a or several rollers contacting the metal strip and / or Rollers to keep the roller temperature constant and / or Roll temperature warmed or cooled across the range. In this way it is prevented that on the rollers or rolling sets an inhomogeneous temperature profile, which lead to a changed roll gap geometry would. In this context, it is again pointed out that it is not in the method according to the invention is about local heating of the metal strip Influencing roll gap geometry. Rather, the Heating or cooling the tension distribution in the metal strip and thus affects the leveling level.
In addition, it is pointed out that the rolling or straightening can also be done without tape tension, e.g. B. at Sheets or sheets in which the mean tensile stress is 0 is. - The metal strip is heated zone by zone preferably non-contact, for example inductive.

erzeugt. Dazu sind mehrere über die
Bandbreite verteilte Heizelemente 3 vorgesehen. Durch das
Temperaturprofil und die damit verbundene Veränderung der
Zugspannungsverteilung läßt sich der Dressiergrad gezielt
manipulieren. In Fig. 1 ist erkennbar, daß die Heizelemente
3 einlaufseitig angeordnet sind, d. h. das
Temperaturprofil wird vor dem Dressierwalzen des Metallbandes
1 erzeugt. Das Heizen erfolgt dabei induktiv.
Außerdem wird die Temperaturverteilung des Metallbandes 1
einlaufseitig über die Bandbreite gemessen. Das in dem
Metallband 1 zu erzeugende Temperaturprofil wird dann in
Abhängigkeit von der gemessenen Temperaturverteilung
gesteuert oder geregelt. Dazu sind entsprechende
Temperaturmeßvorrichtungen 4 vorgesehen, die über eine
Steuer- und/oder Regeleinheit 5 mit den Heizelementen 3
verbunden sind. Im Ausführungsbeispiel wird eine
traversierende Temperaturmessung über die Bandbreite
vorgenommen. Dabei ist die Temperaturmeßvorrichtung 4 als
traversierendes Pyrometer ausgebildet. Zur Soll-Ist-Kontrolle
der Planheitsregelung kann die Messung der
Temperaturverteilung aber auch nahe einer Planheitsmeßstelle
Heizelemente 11 angeordnet.1 shows a section of a device for carrying it out

(vgl. Fig. 3).
Fig. 4 zu entnehmen. In Fig. 4 ist auch die ursprüngliche
plastische Dehnung Δεpl,o (y) eingezeichnet.
Due to the plastic elongation in the course of the skin pass rolling , the changed plastic elongation Δε pl, 1 (y) arises, which results directly from the new distribution of the elastic elongation Δε el, 1 (y).
Fig. 4 makes it clear that the skin pass with the skin pass degree ε D (y) in the middle of the belt is more elongated than in the edge areas. Accordingly, the new plastic strain Δε pl, 1 (y) results with a flatter course over the bandwidth than that of the original plastic strain Δε pl, o (y). This is particularly clear from a comparative analysis of FIGS. 2 and 5. As a result, the edge waves were reduced by skin pass rolling, but not completely eliminated. Complete elimination is not possible with the conventional methods because the distribution of the skin pass degree ε D (y) cannot be varied arbitrarily by mechanical means. In the exemplary embodiment it is assumed that the adjustment ranges of the flatness actuators have been fully utilized.
The idea of the invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to FIGS. 6 to 9. For this purpose, reference is first made to FIG. 6, which again shows the plastic elongation Δε pl, o (y) of the metal strip to be planed in the left area. In this metal strip, a temperature profile that can be varied over the bandwidth is now generated by zone-by-zone heating. This temperature profile leads to a thermal expansion profile ε th, 0 (y), as is shown in the right area of FIG. 6. As a result of the heating of the metal strip in the edge area, the tensile stress σ Z in the edge strips decreases. 10 shows that there is a connection between the tensile stress σ Z in the metal strip and the skin pass degree ε D. It is immediately clear that the degree of skin pass ε D increases linearly with increasing tensile stress σ Z , with a constant rolling force F W. Accordingly, a reduced skin pass degree ε D occurs in the heated edge areas of the metal strip. The skin pass degree ε D (y) set by the new tensile stress distribution is shown in FIG. 8, together with the original plastic strain Δε pl, o (y) and the new elastic strain ε el, 1 (y). The resulting plastic elongation Δε pl, 1 (y) after skin-pass rolling again results from the sum of the original plastic elongation Δε pl, o (y) and the skin-pass degree ε D (y). In particular, FIG. 9 shows that the plastic stretching Δε pl, 1 (y) in the edge region was reduced further, so that the edge ripples have been almost completely eliminated. The thermal expansion ε th, 1 (y) after rolling roughly corresponds to the thermal expansion ε th, 0 (y) before rolling.
Finally, FIG. 11 shows that not only the skin pass degree ε D , but also the degree of stretching ε st depends on the tensile stress σ Z during stretch bending straightening or tensile stretching, so that the above considerations can readily be transferred to straightening or tensile stretching.
