Claims (4)

  1. Superheated steam dryer for heat treatment of a fabric web (1) running through the dryer by blowing superheated steam onto the web, including:
    a steam-tight housing having an inlet slot and an outlet slot,
    a conveying apparatus for the fabric web,
    at least one treatment compartment having at least one air circulating device with an air circulation fan (8) and nozzle chests (9) disposed above and below the fabric web with nozzle orifices directed at the fabric web and with at least one access opening,
    characterised in that
       the housing has a compartment section (2) and a passage section (3), the passage section (3) extending over nearly all or all of the length and over at least the whole height of the compartment section (2) and having an access door (29).
  2. Superheated steam dryer as claimed in Claim 1, the air circulation fans of which are connected by means of shafts with drives located outside the housing, characterised in that the drives (31) are located on the side of the housing which is opposite the passage section (3).
  3. Superheated steam dryer as claimed in Claim 2, in which the compartment section of the housing is located at a distance from the hall floor, characterised in that the passage section (3) projects downwards beyond the compartment section (2), so that the distance between the bottom (23) of the passage section (3) and the hall floor (26) is less than that of the compartment section (2).
  4. Superheated steam dryer as claimed in Claim 3, characterised in that the drives (31) are located beneath the bottom (4) of the compartment section (2).
