Die Verpackung besitzt vier Seitenwände 10, 11, 12, 13 und eine Klebelasche 14, die eine rohrartige Hülse mit einem trapezförmigen Querschnitt formen. Die erste Seitenwand 10 bildet die Rückseite der trapezförmigen Hülse und die zweite Seitenwand 11 formt die parallel zur Rückseite verlaufende Frontseite der Hülse. Die Rückseite besitzt eine Breite von ca. 37,5 mm, während die Frontseite eine Breite von ca. 23 mm aufweist. Die anderen beiden Seitenwände 12, 13 bilden die schräg verlaufenden Seitenwände der trapezförmigen Hülse. Sie besitzen eine Breite von jeweils 29 mm. Die Länge der trapezförmigen Hülse ist derart gewählt, daß sie die darin zu verpackende Lampe vollständig, auf ihrer gesamten Länge umgibt. An die Rückseite 10 ist eine über das obere Ende der trapezförmigen Hülse hinausragende, doppelwandig ausgebildete Lasche 15 angeformt. Die Lasche 15 weist eine schlitzartige Ausstanzung 16 auf, die sich über die gesamte Breite der Rückseite 10 beziehungsweise der Lasche 16 erstreckt. Die Ausstanzung 16 dient zum Aufhängen der in der Verpackung angeordneten Lampe an einer mit genormten Haken ausgerüsteten Präsentationswand, die üblicherweise im Selbstbedienungshandel verwendet werden. Die Unterseite 15a der doppelwandigen Lasche 15 wird aus Material der Rückwand 10 und die Oberseite 15b aus dem Material der Frontseite 11 geformt. Die doppelwandige Lasche 15 wird durch Einschneiden der Frontseite 11 und der Seitenwände 12, 13 entlang der Schnittlinie 17 und anschließendes Zurückfalten des durch die Schnittlinie 17 von der Frontseite 11 abgetrennten Materials 15b auf die Rückseite 10 erzeugt. Die so entstandene Lasche 15 weist seitlich jeweils einen die Lasche 15 und die Ausstanzung 16 begrenzenden Steg 12a, 13a auf. Das obere, mit der doppelwandigen Lasche 15 ausgestattete Ende der Verpackung wird durch eine Verriegelungslasche 18, die ein Herausrutschen der Lampe verhindert, verriegelt. Die Verriegelungslasche 18 ist über eine Faltkante an die obere Kante 25 eines am oberen Faltschachtelende in der Frontseite 11 angebrachten Sichtfensters 24 angeformt. Zum Verschließen des oberen Faltschachtelendes ist die Verriegelungslasche 18 entlang der Faltkante 25 um einen Winkel von 90 Grad in das Innere der trapezförmigen Hülse zurückgefaltet. Das abgewinkelte freie Ende 18a der Verriegelungslasche 18 liegt an der von der Oberseite 15b gebildeten Kante 15c der Lasche 15 an.
