Der Raum hinter der Zunge 37 ist mit Gehäusematerial 42 angefüllt, um ein Ausströmen der Schaltgase an dieser Stelle zu verhindern, da eine entsprechende Öffnung die Kommutierung des Lichtbogenfußpunktes vom beweglichen Kontaktstück 34 auf den Vorsprung 37 behindern würde. Der Kanal 27 dient, wie oben erwähnt, als Rückströmungskanal, der für eine zusätzliche Beschleunigung des Lichtbogens sorgt. Claims (6)

  1.   2. Switching device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the wall sections have a maximum distance from one another in the region of the contact point, with the result that a large expansion space is formed for the arc.
  3. Switching device according to Claim 1 or 2, having arc splitter plates, from whose edge facing the prechamber space adjoins a cutout tapering in the running direction of the arc, characterized in that, in the arc splitter plate region, the wall sections have a distance from one another which is equal to or slightly smaller than the clear width of the cutouts in the arc splitter plates at the edge region.
