Claims (9)

  1. Method for starting a motor vehicle, the starting operation being initiated by actuating an ignition starter switch (1) in such a way that when the engine starts other electrical loads (L1 to Ln) are switched off and are not switched on again until the engine is started, characterized in that during the starting operation the ignition starter switch (1) is actuated directly from an off position (8) into a starting position (9).
  2. Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that a control logic unit (5) detects whether the ignition starter switch (1) is in a starting position (9) or in an off position (8), in that the control logic unit (5) activates the starter of the engine in the starting position (9) and shuts off other electrical loads (L1 to Ln), and in that, if the ignition starter switch (1) is then neither in the starting position (9) nor in the off position (8), the control logic unit (5) detects the "drive" state and switches on the switched-off loads (L1 to Ln) again.
  3. Method according to Claim 1, characterized in that, after a brief actuation of the starting position (9), the starting operation runs automatically with timed switching off of the electrical loads.
  4. Method according to one of Claims 1 or 2, characterized in that an immediate interruption of the starting operation is possible at any time by means of a neutral position (11) of the ignition starter switch (1).
  5. Device for carrying out the method according to one of the preceding claims with an ignition starter switch (1) whose output terminal (4) which is provided for starting the engine can be activated by means of a touch contact counter to a restoring force of a spring (10), characterized in that the ignition starter switch (1) has two output terminals (3, 4), one of which is activated in the starting position (9) and the other in the off position (8) of the ignition starter switch (1), while the drive position of the ignition starter switch (1) is a neutral position (11) in which neither of the two output terminals (3, 4) is activated, and in that the ignition starter switch can be switched directly from the off position (8) into the starting position (9).
  6. Device according to Claim 5, characterized in that the control logic unit (5) which is connected to the output terminals (3, 4) controls the starting operation and the switching on and off of electrical loads (L1 to Ln) in the starting phase as a function of the terminal voltages of the ignition starter switch (1).
  7. Device according to Claim 5, characterized in that the ignition starter switch (1) automatically returns to the neutral drive position after the output terminal (4) which represents the starting position has been actuated.
  8. Device according to one of Claims 5 to 7, characterized in that the control logic unit (5) controls, as a function of the position of the ignition starter switch (1), a multiplex switching device (6) which switches the electrical loads (L1 to Ln) on or off.
  9. Device according to Claim 8, characterized in that the multiplex switching device (6) has controllable semiconductor switches for switching the electrical loads (L1 to Ln) on and off.
