Description

Vorrichtung zum Fördern eines Stranges der tabakverarbeitenden Industrie Device for conveying a strand of the tobacco processing industry
The invention relates to a device for conveying a strand of the tobacco processing industry with a guide for a belt that conveys the strand and runs at the bottom of an open channel. A “strand of the tobacco processing industry” is understood in particular to mean a fiber strand, preferably made from cut tobacco.
In a machine for producing a cigarette rod (cigarette rod machine), tobacco in the form of a shower made of individual tobacco fibers, which is the bottom of a rod guide duct (tobacco duct), is fed in the form of a shower, is collected in a rod forming zone in the tobacco duct on the rod conveyor and is conveyed out of the rod forming zone as a tobacco rod. The tobacco rod is then evened out by a decrease in excess, before it is processed into a cigarette rod in the further course of the manufacturing process by wrapping it with a strip of wrapping material and finally cut into tobacco rods of one or more lengths of use. In modern machines, the lower strand of a strand conveyor belt, on which the accumulated fiber strand is conveyed hanging, is generally used as the strand conveyor. The strand conveyor belt is subjected to negative pressure from its rear side, so that a suction draft which holds the tobacco fibers is created through the strand conveyor belt. This type of conveyor is also known as a suction line conveyor. The conveying strand of the strand conveyor belt extends in the tobacco channel from the beginning of the strand formation zone through the area of the excess removal device to its end of delivery, at which the tobacco strand formed is delivered to a strand unit. The tobacco rod is wrapped with the wrapping material strip in the rod unit, so that a rod of cigarettes is formed which is finally processed into cigarettes or filter cigarettes. The length of the conveyor section of the suction strand conveyor and the high speed of modern strand machines place high demands on the strand conveyor and the guiding means influencing the running of the strand conveyor. Cigarette rod machines with strand conveyor belts of the type described above are shown, for example, in US Pat. No. 4,805,641, GB Pat. No. 974,821 and US Pat. No. 4,344,526. The object on which the invention is based is to further improve a device of the type described in the introduction.
This object is achieved in that the guide has adjoining individual elements which are arranged in a holder.
Further developments and further refinements of the invention can be found in the subordinate claims.
The invention has the advantage that the relatively small individual elements made of highly wear-resistant material, for. B. made of hard metal or ceramic, without becoming as expensive as an entire guide surface made of such a material. The individual elements can be quickly replaced when worn. The same applies in the event that the flow conditions of the air in the tobacco channel are to be changed, for example if the fibers of the tobacco supplied have a different structure. In this case, individual elements with different flow resistances are simply inserted into the guide grooves. The flow conditions can easily be adjusted so that the air resistance decreases as the height of the strand increases. In addition, it is easily possible by varying the design of the guide surfaces of the individual elements to vary the shape of the strand conveyor belt from flat to rounded end regions to the completely rounded partially cylindrical shape.
Die Erfindung wird anhand von Ausfuhrungsbeispielen naher erläutert Es zeigenThe invention is explained in more detail using exemplary embodiments. It shows

A and B-B in FIG. 2. In these cuts, individual elements 4 for guiding a strand conveyor belt 6 (drawn excessively thick) and a tobacco channel 7 are also shown. The holder 1 has two cheeks 8 and 9 which can be screwed together by means of invisible screws. A corresponding threaded bore 11 is shown in FIG. The cheeks 8 and 9 have guide grooves 12 into which segment-shaped individual elements 4 for tape guidance, of which FIG. 5 shows details, can be inserted perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. Studs (not shown) in threaded bores 13 can serve for the clamping fixation of the individual elements / segments 4. In the central area, the individual elements 4 have air outlets 5, which can have different flow cross sections. The individual elements 4 limit and guide the air-permeable conveyor belt 6 with guide surfaces arranged at the top and on the side, which can be driven in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. Beneath the cheeks 8 and 9 and the individual elements 4, cheeks 14 and 16, which delimit the tobacco channel 7, extend in a known manner. The tobacco fibers fed from below are taken along by a suction air flow that flows through the channel 7, the air-permeable band 6, the air passages 5 in the individual elements 4 and through the air passages 2 in the holder 1 into the vacuum chamber 3 and are stored on the band 6 to where they accumulate and are transported to a tobacco rod, not shown.
Figure 4 differs from Figure 3 only in that the threaded holes 13 for clamping the individual elements 4 are missing.
Die in denFigure 5 shows a plan view of the guide side of an individual element 4. Die in the
Guide grooves 12 of the cheeks 8, 9 inserted surfaces of the individual elements 4 are bounded by lines 18, 19. A web 22 is delimited by lines 19 and 21. The strand conveyor belt 6 is guided on guide surfaces 24 between the webs 22. With 23 slight bevels are designated below. The opposite back of the individual element 4 is smooth.
The advantages mentioned in the introduction can be easily recognized on the basis of FIGS. 1 to 5: easy attachment of the relatively short individual elements, which are also inexpensive if they consist of relatively expensive wear-resistant material; easy replacement of the individual elements, e.g. B. due to wear or to influence the flow conditions of the suction air in the tobacco duct 7.
Through the use of specifically designed individual elements 4 with different flow cross sections in shape and size of their air passages 5, a desired or optimal flow profile can be achieved over the length of the strand guide channel by appropriate combination or replacement of individual elements.
Figur 6 zeigt eine Variante eines geschnitten gezeichneten Einzelelementes 4 mit einer Führungsfläche 24 für das Strangförderband 6, deren Endbereiche 24a gerundet sind in vergrößertem Maßstab.FIG. 6 shows a variant of a single element 4 shown in section with a guide surface 24 for the strand conveyor 6, the end regions 24a of which are rounded on an enlarged scale.
FIG. 7 shows a variant of a sectioned individual element 4 on an enlarged scale, in which the guide surface 24b for the continuous conveyor belt is designed as part of an inner cylinder surface.
