Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Wärmetauscher, insbesondere für den Wärmeaustausch zwischen Gasen und Flüssigkeiten, beispielsweise mit Wasser gekühlte Ladeluft - oder Abgaswärmetauscher, umfassend einen Stapel aus schalenförmigen Wärmetauscherplatten (1), die spiegelbildlich zusammengefügt und am Randflansch (2) und um ihren auf einer Linie liegenden Öffnungen (3) so verbunden sind, daß sie Sammel-und Verteilerräume (4) für eines der Mittel und dessen horizontale Strömungskanäle (5) in sich einschließen, sowie mit Sammelräumen (6), in denen die Strömungskanäle (7) für das andere Mittel münden.
Solche Wärmetauscher sind einfacher herstellbar, wenn erfindungsgemäß der Stapel schalenförmiger Wärmetauscherplatten (1) getrennte Strömungskanäle (7) für das zweite Mittel in sich einschließt, die Wärmetauscherplatten (1) eine umlaufende Ausprägung (8) aufweisen, die wenigstens eine Einlaß-und eine Auslaßöffnung (3) für das eine Mittel umfassen, die umlaufende Ausprägung (8) der einen Wärmetauscherplatte (1) mit der Ausprägung (8) der nächsten Wärmetauscherplatte (1) verbunden ist und beide innerhalb des von der umlaufenden Ausprägung (8) eingeschlossenen Bereiches (B) angeordneten parallelen Strömungskanäle (5; 7) voneinander und nach außen hin trennt und wenn die Strömungskanäle (7) für das zweite Mittel außerhalb der umlaufenden Ausprägung (8) in wenigstens einen Sammelraum (6) münden.
