A method according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the strip (1) passing through is passed over at least one deflection roll (8) disposed upstream of, downstream of and/or in the measuring region (M), wherein said deflection roll (8) is formed as a tension measuring roll (8) and is employed for determining the strip tension force (Fz) in the measuring region (M).
  4. A method according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the strip tension force (Fz) is controlled in the measuring region (M), wherein the strip tension force (Fz) which is determined by the tension measuring roll (8), for example, is measured as an input quantity in the measuring region (M) and wherein corresponding control signals are transmitted as a correcting variable to a braking force device (7).
  5. A method according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the braking force device (7) acts upon the strip (1) passing through, without contact, with the braking force (B) which is oriented opposite to the strip tension force (F).
  6. A method according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the measuring device (6) operates in a vertical direction (V) with respect to the strip (1) passing through and over the entire strip width thereof.
  7. A method according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the flatness values determined by the measuring device (6) are fed as input quantities into a flatness control arrangement (14), wherein actuators (13) connected thereto are correspondingly influenced in order to control the flatness.
  8. An apparatus for measuring the flatness of strip (1), particularly metal strip (1), which passes through with a predetermined strip tension force, for carrying out the method according to any one of claims 1 to 7,
       comprising at least one measuring device (6), for the contactless detection of regions of strip unevenness, which is disposed in a measuring region (M) at a predetermined distance (A) from the strip surface,
    wherein a braking force device (7) for the deliberately reducing the strip tension force (Fz) and for applying a braking force (B) is disposed upstream of and/or in the measuring region (M).
  9. An apparatus according to claim 8, characterised in that the braking force device (7) is formed as at least one linear motor (7) which operates in a contactless manner.
  10. An apparatus according to claim 8 or 9, characterised in that the braking force device (7) is formed as at least one set of S-rolls (7a, 7b) which optionally comprises a contact pressure roll (12) and which is disposed upstream of the measuring region (M).
  11. An apparatus according to any one of claims 8 to 10, characterised in that at least one tension measuring roll (8) is provided which is disposed upstream or downstream of the measuring region (M) and/or in the measuring region (M) and which supplies feedback values of the strip tension force (Fz) in the measuring region (M) to a connected control arrangement (11), wherein the control arrangement (11) correspondingly influences the braking force device (7) in order to control the braking force (B) and to determine the desired strip tension force (Fz) in the measuring region (M).
  12. An apparatus according to any one of claims 8 to 11, characterised in that the measuring region (M) is formed as a vertical measuring section and the length of the measuring section optionally corresponds to the maximum strip width.
