    Claims (5)

    1. Retractable platform for a swimming pool, comprising:
      a horizontal frame (6) with parallel crosspieces (8);
      transverse tenons (10) which project from the frame (6) and are engaged in vertical shafts (15) provided around the pool (2), each shaft comprising a vertical aperture (16) which opens into the pool;
      as many cables (20) as there are tenons (10), each cable (20) circulating along and on the exterior of the pool (2) on return pulleys (34 to 36), and describing, in its area of connection with a tenon (10), a vertical path (20a) in the corresponding shaft (15); and
      a unit (50) for drawing the cables (20), which is disposed at one end of the pool and outside the latter, characterised in that each tenon (10) is firstly provided with a grooved unit (17) with a low coefficient of friction, which is fitted such as to slide inside the corresponding shaft (15), whilst assuring guiding in vertical translation of this tenon (10), and is secondly connected to the lower end of a flap (26) which is fitted such as to slide in rebates (25) which edge the aperture (16) of the shaft (15), and close the part of this shaft which is disposed above the platform (1), whereas each vertical shaft (15) comprises, in its upper part and between the maximum filling level of the pool and the level of the peripheral curb of this pool, a housing (28) which is accessible via a trap door (29), and contains firstly the pulleys (34 to 36) which assure return of the cable (20) between its vertical path (20a) in the shaft (15) and a horizontal and longitudinal path (20c), on the exterior of the pool, in the vicinity of the longitudinal wall of the latter, and contains secondly the return rollers (42) for the flap (26) in a rear channel of the shaft.
    2. Platform according to claim 1, characterised in that the frame (6) and its crosspieces (8) consist of tubular profiles made of metal alloy which is resistant to corrosion by chlorinated water, and at least some of these profiles are lined on the interior by a ballasting material.
    3. Platform according to claim 1, characterised in that the shutter (26) consists of a mat, the path of which is organised by the return rollers (42) of the housing (28), and the rear end of which circulates vertically in the rear shaft (39), in which it is put under tension by a counterweight (43).
    4. Platform according to claim 1, characterised in that at least one of the flaps (15) comprises, on its surface which faces the pool, a scale (60) which indicates the depth of penetration of the platform (1) below the level of the pool, whereas a wall (61) which closes the upper part of the aperture (16) of the corresponding shaft (15) comprises a window (62) which makes it possible to read the scale.
    5. Platform according to claim 1, characterised in that the drawing unit (50) consists of a hydraulic jack, the body (50a) of which is secured in a pit (53) in the vicinity of the pool (2), and the rod of which is connected to the ends of the lifting cables (20) which circulate in troughs (52) disposed beneath the curb (3) of the pool (2).
