      that provision is made for a control device (19) controlling the conveyor belt in such manner that the sections (8) of predetermined length of the second material web (7) are successively removed from the dispensing device (6), transferred to a position above the first material web (1), and affixed to the first material web (1) in side-by-side or spaced relation in a direction transverse to the first material web (1).
    2. The device as claimed in claim 1,
      characterized in that provision is made for a pressure roll (15) arranged transversely to the running direction (x) of the first material web (1), said pressure roll being movable up and down and operating to urge the section (8) of predetermined length (1) of the second material web (7) against the first material web (1) as soon as the section (8) has reached the predetermined position relative to the first material web (1).
    3. The device as claimed in claim 2,
      characterized in that provision is made for a stop or a sensor (16) for detecting the sections (8) of the second material web (7), said stop or sensor being connected to a control device (19), and
      that said control device (19) causes the pressure roll (15) to move against the first material web (1) as soon as said stop or sensor (16) signals that the section (8) of predetermined length (1) of the second material web (7) has reached the predetermined position relative to the first material web (1).
    4. The device as claimed in claim 1,
      characterized in that provision is made for n dispensing devices (6) arranged at a relative distance (2n+1)*(b+z), where b is the width of the sections of the second material web (7), and z the desired distance between two consecutive sections (8) of the second material web (7).
    5. The device as claimed in claim 4,
      characterized in that the running speed of the first material web (1) is rated by the control device (19) in such manner that the sections (8) of predetermined length (1) of the second material web (7) are applied to the first material web (1) in a continuous process.
    6. The device as claimed in claim 1,
      characterized in that openings (20) are provided in the conveyor belt of the conveying device (13).
    7. The device as claimed in claim 1,
      characterized in that provision is made for a take-up reel (5) onto which the finished web material (21) is wound.
