Claims (15)

  1.   8. Take-up machine according to claim 6 or 7, characterized in that the yarn guide (34) comprises a slide-off edge (38) provided substantially transverse of the leading edge (35), which slide-off edge extends at least from the end of the leading edge (35) over the length of the end zone (36).
  9. Take-up machine according to claim 8, characterized in that the yarn guide (34) is rotatable by a rotating device (39) on the yarn deflection bar (35) from an idle position to a guiding position.
  10. Take-up machine according to claim 9, characterized in that the extension (24) of the yarn transfer device (21) is formed by a contact switch, which activates upon contact with the stop (29) the rotating device (39) for moving the yarn guide (34) in its guiding position.
  11. Take-up machine according to one of the claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the drive of the yarn transfer device (21) is a piston-cylinder unit (40) which moves a rack (43) engaging on a pinion (42) connected with a yarn transfer device (21), and which generates a minimum force necessary for the contact of the transfer device (21) with the stop (29).
  12. Take-up machine according to one of the claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the yarn transfer device (21) is connected with a spring (26), which generates a minimum force for the contact of the yarn transfer device (21) with the stop (29).
  13. Take-up machine according to one of the claims 1 to 12, characterized in that the yarn transfer device (21) is mounted for rotation on the contact roll support (12), and that the contact roll support (12) itself is arranged for movement on the machine frame (14) such that the position of the contact roll (10) is variable.
  14. Take-up machine according to one of claims 1 to 13, characterized in that the yarn transfer device (21) is pivotable during an initial yarn thread up from the idle position (27) to a thread up position (44), wherein the yarn is guided in the thread up position (44) outside of the traversing device and the contact roll by the yarn transfer device (21).
  15. Method of transferring a yarn (1) from a full package (15) to an empty tube (19) in a take-up machine with a traversing device and with two winding spindles (17, 18) mounted off centre for rotation on the spindle turret (20) for receiving the full package and the empty tube, wherein during the winding the yarn lies against the circumference of a contact roll (10) before it advances onto the full package, wherein by rotating the spindle turret (20) the full package is rotated from a winding range to a transfer range and the empty tube from the transfer range to the winding range, wherein the empty tube is brought into contact with the yarn advancing onto the full package, wherein between the empty tube (19) and the full package (15) the yarn (1) is guided by a yarn transfer device (21) in a deflected position that defines a looping of the yarn about the empty tube, and wherein a positionable yarn guide guides the yarn for its transfer from the traversing device to a catching position, in which the yarn advances through a catching slot (41) arranged in the empty tube, characterised in that the deflecting position (28) of the yarn transfer device (21) is varied by the movement of the spindle turret (20) in such a way that the degree of the looping of the yarn about the empty tube is controllable.
