Claims (29)
- Gerät zum elektrofotografischen Erzeugen von Bildmustern auf einem Aufzeichungsträger, insbesondere Drucker oder Kopierer, mit mindestens einem Druckwerk, dem Toner zugeführt wird, wobei die Abförderung des von einer Reinigungsstation (80) gesammelten Alttoners zu einem Alttonerbehälter (84) unterbrechbar ist, um einen druckunterbrechungsfreien Wechsel des Alttonerbehälters (84) zu ermöglichen, und wobei zwischen einem Antrieb (134) und einer Förderwelle (132) zur Tonerabführung von der Reinigungsstation (20) eine steuerbare Kupplung geschaltet ist, die zum druckunterbrechungsfreien Wechsel des Alttonerbehälters betätigbar ist.
- Gerät nach Anspruch 1, wobei der Alttoner zwischen Reinigungsstation (80) und Alttonerbehälter (84) über eine Adaptereinheit (82) mittels eines Förderers (132) durch einen Förderkanal(92) transportiert wird und anfallender Alttoner während des Wechsels des Alttonerbehälters (84) in dem Förderkanal zwischengespeichert wird.
- Gerät nach Anspruch 2, wobei die Adaptereinheit einen flexiblen Schlauch (92) umfaßt.
- Gerät nach Anspruch 3, wobei mit dem flexiblen Schlauch (92) das Austreten des Alttoners aus der Adaptereinheit (82) verhinderbar ist.
- Gerät nach Anspruch 4, wobei am flexiblen Schlauch (136) der Adaptereinheit (82) ein Verschließmechanismus (138) angeordnet ist, der zum Wechsel des Alttonerbehälters (84) betätigt wird.
- Gerät nach einem der Anspüche 3 bis 5, wobei der flexible Schlauch (92) innenseitig ein für Toner undurchdringbares und tonerabweisendes Material hat und daß er vorzugsweise aus Silikon hergestellt ist.
- Gerät nach einem der Ansprüche 3 bis 6, wobei der flexible Schlauch (92) sich kegelstumpfförmig in Richtung zum Alttonerbehälter (84) erweitert.
- Gerät nach einem der Ansprüche 2 bis 7, wobei die Adaptereinheit (82) auf der Seite der Reinigungseinheit (20) einen stabilen Kragen (88) zur Aufnahme in der Reinigungseinheit (20) und auf der Seite des Alttonerbehälters (84) eine stabile Aufnahme (90) hat, die mit einer schwenkbaren Verriegelungsplatte (100) verbunden ist, wobei der flexible (92) Schlauch im Kragen (88) und in der Aufnahme (90) gehalten ist.
- Gerät nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei der Alttonerbehälter (84) in einer in Laufschienen, vorzugsweise Teleskopschienen (112), gelagerten Schublade (110) aufgenommen ist.
- Gerät nach Anspruch 9, wobei beim Herausziehen der Schublade (110) die Verriegelungsplatte (100) mit einem von ihrem Drehpunkt (119) abgewandten Ende auf einer Rampe unter Zusammendrücken des flexiblen Schlauchs (92) hochfährt, und beim Hineinschieben der Schublade (110) die Verriegelungsplatte (100) hinter einer Anschlagkante (124) einrastet.
- Gerät nach einem der Ansprüche 9 oder 10, wobei die Schublade (110) ein mit einer Feder (116) vorgespanntes Schwenkelement (118) enthält, das im Zustand mit eingesetzten Alttonerbehälter (84) diesen gegen einen Füllstandsensor (120) drückt, und das Schwenkelement (118) im Zustand ohne eingesetzten Alttonerbehälter (84) gegen den Füllstandsensor (120) geschwenkt ist und diesem einen vollgefüllten Alttonerbehälter vortäuscht.
- Gerät nach Anspruch 11, wobei der Füllstandsensor (120) als Annäherungssensor ausgebildet ist, der bei Füllhöhe des Alttoners entsprechend der Position des Annäherungsschalters ein Voll-Signal abgibt.
- Gerät nach einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 12, wobei ein Mikroschalter (122) die Position der Schublade überwacht.
- Gerät nach Anspruch 12 und 13, wobei die Steuerung die Signalzustände des Füllstandsensors (120) und des Mikroschalters (122) auswertet, um das Auswechseln des Alttonerbehälters und den Druckbetrieb zu steuern.
- Gerät nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche 2 bis 14, wobei ein an die Adaptereinheit (82) anstelle des Alttonerbehälters (84) anschwenkbarer Zwischenbehälter (142) vorgesehen ist, in dem der Alttoner während des Austauschs des Alttonerbehälters (84) gesammelt wird.
- Gerät nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei mindestens ein Druckwerk vorgesehen ist, dem Toner aus einem Tonervorratsbehälter (22) zugeführt wird, welcher innerhalb des Gerätes im wesentlichen fest eingebaut ist und in zeitlichen Abständen über eine Einfüllöffnung (20) nachfüllbar ist, mit einer verriegelbaren Gerätetür (12a, 12b) zur Abdeckung innerer Teile des Gerätes sowie des Tonervorratsbehälters (22), mit einer elektrischen Sicherheitseinrichtung, die beim Öffnen der Gerätetür (12a, 12b) den Betrieb des Gerätes unterbricht, wobei in der Gerätetür (12a, 12b) im Bereich der Einfüllöffnung (20) des Tonervorratsbehälters (22) eine verschließbare Öffnung vorgesehen ist, durch die hindurch der Tonervorratsbehälter (22) von außen nachfüllbar ist ohne den Druckvorgang zu unterbrechen.
- Gerät nach Anspruch 16, wobei die Öffnung durch eine in der Tür (12a, 12b) befestigten, schwenkbaren Klappe (14, 16) verschließbar ist.
- Gerät nach Anspruch 17, wobei die Klappe (14, 16) so ausgebildet ist, daß sie im geöffneten Zustand einen Auffangbehälter (32) für Toner bildet.
- Gerät nach einem der Ansprüche 16 bis 18, wobei der Tonervorratsbehälter (22) ein Mundstück (34) aufweist, welches die Einfüllöffnung bildet, wobei das Mundstück (34) vorzugsweise lösbar einsetzbar ist.
- Gerät nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche 16 bis 19, wobei im Tonervorratsbehälter (22), zumindest während des Befüllvorganges, ein geringer Unterdruck erzeugt wird.
- Gerät nach Anspruch 20, wobei der Tonervorratsbehälter (22) eine Luftabführöffnung (66) hat, an die ein Ventilator (64) oder ein Verbindungsschlauch (72) zu einem Luftabzugkanal innerhalb des Gerätes anschließbar ist und wobei die Luftabführöffnung (66) auf der Innenseite des Tonervorratsbehälters (22) einen Filter (70) hat, der Toner zurückhält.
- Gerät nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche 16 bis 21, wobei der Tonerfüllstand im Tonervorratsbehälter (22) durch einen Füllstandssensor (58) erfaßt wird, bei Unterschreiten eines vorbestimmten Füllstandpegels (75) ein Warnsignal erzeugt wird und wobei später in Abhängigkeit von weiteren Parametern ein Abbruchsignal erzeugt wird, mit dem der Druckbetrieb abgebrochen wird.
- Gerät nach Anspruch 22, wobei als Füllstandssensor (58) ein kapazitiver Sensor vorgesehen ist, der auf der Außenwand des Tonervorratsbehälters (22) in axialer Richtung verschiebbar angeordnet ist und der das Warnsignal erzeugt, wenn der Füllpegel im Tonervorratsbehälter (22) seine Position erreicht oder unterschreitet, der verbleibende Toner im Tonervorratsbehälter (22) nach dem Auftreten des Warnsignals ermittelt wird, und wobei das Abbruchsignal abhängig vom Verbrauch dieses verbleibenden Toners erzeugt wird.
- Gerät nach Anspruch 23, wobei der Tonerverbrauch auf der Grundlage der gedruckten Bildpunkte und des eingestellten Druckkontrastes und/oder der Grundlage der Zahl bedruckter Einzelblätter ermittelt wird.
- Verfahren zum Wechseln eines Alttonerbehälters in einem Gerät nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche 1 bis 24, insbesondere in einem Drucker oder in einem Kopierer, mit mindestens einem Druckwerk, dem Toner zugeführt wird, wobei die Abförderung des von einer Reinigungsstation (80) gesammelten Alttoners zu dem Alttonerbehälter (84) unterbrochen wird und der Alttonerbehälter (84) ohne Unterbrechung des Druckbetriebs gewechselt wird.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 25, wobei zum Unterbrechen der Alttoner-Abförderung von der Reinigungsstation (80) während dem Wechseln des Alttonerbehälters (84) eine steuerbare Kupplung betätigt wird, wodurch eine Förderwelle (132) zur Tonerabförderung von einem Antrieb 134) getrennt wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 25 oder 26, wobei der Alttoner zwischen Reinigungsstation (80) und Alttonerbehälter (84) über eine Adaptereinheit (82) durch einen Förderkanal (92) transportiert wird und wobei anfallender Alttoner während dem Wechsel des Alttonerbehälters (84) in dem Förderkanal (92) zwischengespeichert wird.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 27, wobei die Adaptereinheit (82) während dem Wechseln des Alttonerbehälters (84) verschlossen wird, wodurch ein Austreten des Alttoners aus der Adaptereinheit (82) verhindert ist.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 27, wobei während dem Wechseln des Alttonerbehälters (84) an die Adaptereinheit (82) anstelle des Alttonerbehälters (84) ein Zwischenbehälter (142) angeschwenkt wird, in dem der Alttoner gesammelt wird.
