Process according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterised in that a plurality of sheets forming intermediate layers are prepared and provided with separating slits, in that the sheets are arranged one above the other in such a way that the separating slits of the one sheet extend at an angle to those of the other sheet.
  14. Process for producing a composite information carrier with an upper and a lower outer layer (50, 52) and a middle intermediate layer (54) which by applying an arcuate separating slit (60), forms a disk (58), which is circular except for a separated edge portion (56), and carries it rotatably between the outer layers, wherein the disk (58) can be inspected through a recess (62) in one of the outer layers (50, 52) and can be manually grasped, and wherein the information experiences a specific allocation owing to corresponding positioning of the disk (58) with respect to the outer layers (50, 52), comprising the following process steps:
    providing sheets forming the upper and lower outer layer (50, 52) and a sheet (64) forming the intermediate layer (54) the length of which and/or the width of which is a multiple of the length or width of the information carrier to be produced,
    introducing a plurality of arcuate separating slits (60) in the sheet (64) forming the intermediate layer (56), but which are not moved back, so the circular disks (58) produced in the process remain attached to the sheet (64) by at least one arcuate segment (66),
    laminated arrangement and connection of the sheets in regions outside the separating slits (60) delimiting the circular disks (58),
    cutting the laminate formed in this way which provides a matrix-like arrangement of information carriers to be produced, in such a way that a cut (70) delimiting an information carrier separates the connection of the disk (58) to the middle sheet (64), so the separating slit (60) opens in this cutting plane (72) and the disk (58) is held captively and rotatably between the outer layers (50, 52).
  15. Process according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterised in that the separating processes are carried out by water jet separation.
  16. Process according to one or more of claims 1 to 14, characterised in that the separating processes are carried out by laser beam separation.
