FlügelzellenpumpeVane pump
Beschreibungdescription
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Flügelzellenpumpe gemäß Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.The invention relates to a vane pump according to the preamble of claim 1.
Vane pumps of the type mentioned here are known. They are used, for example, to provide a fluid for a power steering system in a vehicle. They have a pump unit which comprises a cam ring and a rotor which is rotatably mounted therein. This is provided with slots running radially to the axis of rotation, in which wings are movably mounted in the radial direction. When the rotor rotates in the interior of the cam ring, the vanes form larger and smaller subspaces, so that at least one suction and one pressure area is created. A pressure plate is provided on at least one side of the pump unit and forms a lateral boundary surface for the suction and pressure areas. During operation of the pump, the pressure plate is pressed against the pump unit, which increases wear considerably. In order to counteract this, a corresponding play is provided between the cam ring and the rotor when the pump is installed, as a result of which the volumetric efficiency is often not sufficient.
A vane pump is known from US Pat. No. 3,695,791, in which an arched, made of a bimetal manufactured printing plate is used. The pressure plate is installed preloaded so that a predetermined distance remains between the pressure plate and the rotor and that the pressure plate is clamped flat between the housing and the rotor. The bimetallic function of the sealing washer is intended to ensure that this distance is maintained during operation of the pump. If the pressure plate is deflected under a pressure given during operation of the pump, the deflection is canceled when the fluid to be pumped is heated, since the bimetal is heated accordingly and counteracts the deflection caused by the pressure forces by snapping back the pressure plate. It has been shown that the known pump cannot guarantee sufficient volumetric efficiency in all cases.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a vane pump which does not have this disadvantage.
To solve this problem, a vane pump is proposed, which shows the features mentioned in claim 1. The pump is characterized in that the surface of the pressure plate facing the pump unit, that is to say the side of the pressure plate which faces the rotor, the vanes, the lifting ring and the suction and pressure areas, is concave in the depressurized state of the pump. In the unloaded state of the pressure plate, i.e. at low pressure (for example when driving straight ahead if there is no steering), there is sufficient distance from the rotor and the blades. ben, so that the oil friction in the gap and thus the mechanical losses are low at low pressure. If, during operation of the pump, a higher pressure acts on the pressure plate on the side facing away from the pump unit, this is bent, so that the gap between the vanes, the rotor and the pressure plate is reduced. This results in a very good volumetric efficiency. In addition, the pressure plate lies flat on the side surface of the cam ring, so that under high pressure an edge pressure and a correspondingly high, wear-causing load on the pressure plate and the cam ring are avoided.
An embodiment of the pump is preferred, which is characterized in that a pressure plate is provided on each side of the rotor or the pump unit, which plate is designed to be concave, the concave side of the pressure plate facing the pump unit. With such a configuration, an optimal adaptation of the pressure plates to the operating pressure is possible on both sides: If the pressure plates deflect during operation of the pump under high pressure, the gaps between the blades and the two plates are reduced to a minimum, so that a very good one sets volumetric efficiency. At the same time, edge pressure on both sides of the cam ring and thus overloading of the pressure plates are avoided at high pressure.
Es zeigen:Further configurations result from the remaining subclaims. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to a drawing. Show it:

Joint cell pumps of the type mentioned here are known in principle, so that their structure and function are not dealt with in detail. A pump for a power steering system is assumed here as an example.
The partial section shown in FIG. 1 through the vane pump 1 shows a pump unit 3 which comprises a rotor 5 and a cam ring 7 surrounding it. In the rotor 5, slots 9 are made in the radial direction, into which blades 11 movable in the radial direction are inserted. The inner contour of the lifting ring 7 is not circular, but rather approximately elliptical, so that when the rotor rotates, the vanes 11 are moved in and out. Subspaces are formed which enlarge and reduce during one revolution of the rotor, so that at least one suction and one pressure area are created. A first pressure plate 13 is provided on one side of the pump unit 3. On the other hand, the pump unit can rest on a flat housing surface. From Figure 1 it can be seen that in the embodiment shown here second pressure plate 15 is provided. The surface of the first pressure plate 13 facing the pump unit 3 is concave, as is the surface 19 of the second pressure plate 15 facing the pump unit 3. In the operating state shown in FIG. 1, the pressure plates 13 and 15 practically rest only with their outer edges on the lateral boundary surfaces of the cam ring 7. The pressure given on the sides of the pressure plates 13, 15 facing away from the rotor 5 is low (for example "circulation pressure") or zero, so that the load on the outer edges of the pressure plates is low.
It is fundamentally possible to design the pressure plates 13 and 15 such that only their surfaces 17 and 19 facing the pump unit 3 are curved. In Figure 1, however, an embodiment was shown in which the inner and outer surfaces of the pressure plates 13 and 15 run parallel to each other. The outer surface 21 of the first pressure plate 13 is therefore convex in the operating state shown here, as is the outer surface 23 of the second pressure plate 15.
During operation of the vane pump 1, a high compressive force acts on the outer surfaces 21 and 23 of the pressure plates 13 and 15, as is given when the steering is actuated. This is indicated by arrows in FIG. 2.
In the operating state shown in FIG. 2, the pressure plates 13 and 15 are bent under the given pressure forces, so that their surfaces 17 and 19 facing the pump unit 3 run parallel to the side surfaces of the pump unit 3 and form a lateral boundary surface for the suction and pressure areas of the pump unit 3.
From FIG. 2, in which the same parts as in FIG. 1 are provided with the same reference numerals, it can be seen that the pressure plates 13 and 15 rest flat against the pump unit 3 under operating pressure, in particular thus on the lateral boundary surfaces of the cam ring 7. The pressure plates 13, 15 are only loaded with relatively small forces due to the surface pressure.
The width of the cam ring 7 corresponds approximately to the width of the rotor 5. The cam ring is normally 15 to 30 μm wider than the rotor. The wings 11 are somewhat narrower than the rotor 5 and the cam ring 7. Due to the fact that the pressure plates 13 and 15 lie flat against the pump unit 3 under pressure, only extremely narrow gaps are given in the area of the wings 11, so that under high pressure results in a very good volumetric efficiency. This means that the sub-compartments subdivided by the vanes are optimally sealed against one another, so that the medium conveyed by the vane cell pump can flow back only to an extremely small extent from the pressure area to the suction area. At a low pressure, as assumed in FIG. 1, that is to say, for example, at circulating pressure, the volumetric efficiency is relatively poor. In this operating state, this is of minor importance because the consumer coupled to the pump, the steering help system is not active in this operating state (driving straight ahead without steering movement). Because of the gaps between the vanes and pressure plates, there is less viscous friction between the rotor, vanes and the pressure plates, so that the frictional power, that is to say the drive losses, is also lower.
By comparing the arrangement of the surfaces 17 and 19 of the pressure plates 13 and 15 in Figures 1 and 2 it is readily apparent that the gap between the surfaces 17 and 19 in the unpressurized state to the lateral edges of the vanes 11 during operation of the vane pump is reduced to a minimum, the pressure plates 13 and 15 lying flat against the outside of the cam ring 7 in the operating state. The surfaces 17 and 19 of the pressure plates 13 and 15 are designed such that they form a plane under operating pressure which runs parallel to the side surfaces of the pump unit 3.
In beiden
The deflection of the pressure plates 13, 15 takes place continuously, that is to say uniformly with increasing pressure which is present on the surface of the pressure plates facing away from the rotor 5. The fact that the pressure plates 13, 15 can be moved freely and without pretensioning prevents jerky deflection. It is also particularly advantageous that the pressure plates 13, 15 are loaded with a surface pressure at a high pressure of the fluid to be conveyed and with an edge pressure at a low pressure of the fluid. In both In some cases, the forces acting on the pressure plates are relatively low.
In order to be able to grind the surfaces 17 and 19 in a simple manner, in a quasi lenticular manner, the pressure plates 13 and 15 are geometrically designed in such a way that flat surfaces result after grinding under pressure, which corresponds to a straight bending line in the sectional illustration according to FIG.
It is also possible to load the printing plates 13 and 15 during the processing of the surfaces 17 and 19 in such a way that a convex contour initially results, which is then removed. Under the load on the pressure plates 13 and 15 during the production of the surfaces 17 and 19, a straight bending line is then obtained.
Overall, it can thus be seen that the printing plates can remain unloaded during manufacture, while a concave surface is being worked out, or can be pre-bent in order to then work out a flat surface under defined preloading forces, which assumes a concave curvature in the unloaded state.
Deformation of the pressure plates 13 and 15 given operating pressure can be defined by the choice of the material for the pressure plates and by the specification of a certain plate thickness. It is therefore possible to specify a defined behavior of the printing plates in the operating state.
The curvature of the surfaces 17 and 19 can be chosen so that the deep most point of the pressure plates 13 and 15 jumps back from an imaginary plane by 10 μm to 40 μm, preferably by 15 μm to 30 μm.
After all, it is clear that a targeted behavior of the pressure plates 13 and 15 is adjustable. At a low pressure on the outer surface 21 and 23 of the pressure plates 13 and 15 (FIG. 1) facing away from the pump unit 3, because of the large play between the rotor / blades and the pressure plates, there is only little friction due to the so-called drag oil flow between the rotor 5 and the surfaces 17 and 19. At a high pressure acting on the outer surfaces 21 and 23 (FIG. 2), the pressure plates 13, 15 deform, as explained with reference to FIG. 2, so that a high volumetric efficiency or a low leakage occurs. The surfaces 17 and 19 of the pressure plates 13 and 15 lie continuously and evenly over the outer surface of the cam ring 7, with high edge pressures due to the smooth support being avoided. The contact area of the pressure plates on the cam ring increases with increasing external pressure. The area load can therefore be kept approximately constant. It is therefore possible to reduce the wear and the loads on the vane pump 1 to a minimum.
