Description

The present invention relates to a knife for snowshoeing intended to be removably mounted on a snowshoe. She also relates to a snowshoe intended to be equipped with said knife.

Snowshoes have been known for a long time many years because used for several centuries by Scandinavian people to move on the snow. Until our days, snowshoes were used for utility or military purposes, to allow the populations and the alpine troops to move on the snow for their daily necessities. Currently, snowshoes are used more by athletes who go on hikes and walks, or even competitions. But athletes, although practicing for their pleasure, are more and more demanding for the material they use, and it is true that the products currently sold are not entirely satisfactory.

Thus, snowshoes must combine criteria grip and lift while maintaining maximum comfort for their users. The combination of these criteria also has a particular importance, especially in conditions of difficult practice like, for example, in hard or icy snow or in steep slope conditions. Current snowshoes do unfortunately do not allow to obtain a sufficient grip in such conditions and make it difficult to progress their users. In addition, it may also be necessary to reduce the grip of the racket in certain types of racket use or snow conditions like, for example, when going downhill.

Thus, the present invention proposes to solve the disadvantages mentioned above by simple, reliable, safe and inexpensive means expensive. It therefore presents an improvement for snowshoeing intended to allow the adaptation of the racket to snow conditions and slope by means of attachment, such as a knife, said means advantageously adaptably removable under the racket if necessary and as desired by the user.

According to its main characteristic, the racket knife snow according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises means assembly intended to allow its assembly in a removable manner to racket.

According to an additional characteristic of the knife, it is partly characterized in that its assembly means consist by at least one upper bearing surface intended to come to bear against a lower bearing surface of the racket sieve.

According to the preferred embodiment of the racket knife snow according to the invention, its assembly means include rotation blocking means constituted by a central projection intended to engage in a hole in the sieve of the racket, the shape of the central projection being complementary and adjusted to that of said hole.

According to an additional characteristic of the knife according to the invention, it comprises locking means intended to allow locking the knife in position on the snowshoe.

According to another characteristic of the snowshoe knife according to the invention, it is characterized in that the means for locking include a lock intended to come to bear on the face upper of the snowshoe sieve.

According to one embodiment of the knife, the lock consists by a wall portion pivotally mounted on the central projection.

According to an additional characteristic of the knife, it has two side walls provided with a set of teeth, said teeth side walls being arranged on either side of a plane of symmetry i longitudinal of the knife.

According to an alternative embodiment of the knife, the side walls are parallel to the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the knife, said plane being intended to be confused with the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the snowshoe during assembly.

Furthermore, the invention also relates to a snowshoe intended to receive a removable knife such as that described subsequently, said racket comprising assembly means intended to cooperate with the assembly means of the knife.

In addition, according to a variant, the snowshoe includes locking means intended to allow the locking in position of the knife on the racket.

Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge of the description which will follow with regard to the appended drawings which are not given only by way of nonlimiting examples.

The racket designated under the general reference (1) is presented in the form of an openwork plate of vertical plane of general symmetry (P) fixed under the shoe and which consists of a main frame (2) consisting of a peripheral wall (3) delimiting an interior area or screen (4), comprising a set of internal walls supporting the binding (5) intended to retain the shoe (6) of the user, as the show figures 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Said screen (4) with its set of internal walls forms a general lower surface of support on snow allowing the user not to sink too far into the snow thanks to the bearing surface relatively large. Note that the fixing (5) intended to retain the shoe (6) is, according to the illustration given by way of example, articulated relative to the sieve (4) of the racket itself, along an axis transverse (XX ') to be able to be pivoted vertically according to (F1, F2). Advantageously, said attachment bearing the general reference (5) is constituted by an articulated plate (9) comprising means for shoe retainer, namely, front retaining means (10) and rear retaining means (11). Thus, the front end (12) of the shoe is, for example, retained by a front stirrup (13), while its rear end (14) is, thanks to a pivoting rear bracket (15) comprising a retaining lever (16). It goes without saying that the means of front and rear retainers could be reversed, i.e. the caliper front (13) could be put at the rear and that the rear caliper (15) and its lever (16) could be put at the front. The plate (9) is advantageously rigid and extends longitudinally. It includes a upper bearing surface (17) for supporting the sole of the shoe. Of course, the racket of the invention can be equipped with any other type of shoe fastening device such as, for example, that described in the French patent application No. 94 05919 of the applicant.

According to the embodiment of the racket on which is intended to be mounted the knife, the perforated plate has a general shape elongated whose front is advantageously raised and shaped substantially pointed to form the front spatula (8), while its central area (60) located under the shoe (6) of the user and therefore under the plate (9), in the case of a fixing as illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, includes a longitudinal edge (18) extending, for example, from the transverse axis of articulation of the plate (XX ') to the heel (19) of the racket. Said longitudinal edge (18) advantageously serves as a support for the shoe (6) or for the plate (9) in the case of a fixing of the hinged plate type. Add that the longitudinal edge (18) includes a horizontal central support surface (20) which, according to the invention, is laterally extended on both sides by a lateral surface longitudinal inclined (21a, 21b), i.e., a left inclined surface (21a) and a straight inclined surface (21b). Note that the two surfaces inclined (21a, 21b) converge upwards, as shown in the figure 7.

Furthermore, the central wall (20) of the longitudinal edge (18) includes at least one elongated hole (180a, 180b, 180c) as shown Figures 5 and 6. In the mode shown, the longitudinal edge (18) includes a front hole (180a), a central hole (180b) and a rear hole (180c). Add that the longitudinal edge includes two projections longitudinal sideways (25a, 25b) extending downwards (BA) on both sides and on the other, the front (180a) and central (180b) holes. Note that the edge longitudinal, its holes and its lateral extensions constitute complementary assembly means intended to cooperate with knife assembly means, such as those described later. he It goes without saying that the snowshoe could be of a different shape, without however, depart from the claimed protective field of the invention.

The invention mainly relates to means for attaching snowshoeing in the snow like a knife with the general reference (30) as illustrated in FIGS. 8 and 9, and more particularly the means assembly and the locking means of said knife (30) on the racket (1). The knife (30) is intended to be mounted on the racket at snow (1) removably. It is advantageously constituted by a metal profile as per. example, aluminum. It goes without saying that the knife could be made of any other sufficiently rigid material and solid to ensure its grip function on snow, without as well go beyond the claimed protective field of the invention.

According to the preferred embodiment of the knife (30) according to the invention, it comprises assembly means intended to allow its installation on the snowshoe (1), it also includes locking means intended to allow it to be locked in position on the latter, the assembly and locking advantageously taking place removably.

According to the invention, the means for assembling the knife (30) are partly formed by an upper bearing surface (31) intended to lean on a lower bearing surface (32) of the screen (4). This lower support surface of the screen (32) is complementary to the surface upper support (31) of the knife (30) and partly constitutes the means additional assembly of the snowshoe. Note that the lower support surface (32) of the screen (4) is formed by the walls lower end of the inclined surfaces (21a, 21b) and those of the longitudinal projections (25a, 25b). The upper bearing surface (31) of the knife (30) is formed by two lateral bearing surfaces (31a, 31b, 310a, 310b) intended to cooperate respectively with the edges lower ends of the longitudinal projections (25a, 25b) and inclined surfaces (21a, 21b) of the sieve, as shown in Figure 13. It will the profiles of the upper bearing walls of the knife and of the lower support walls of the screen which constitute the means assembly of the racket and the knife, could be different and remain complementary, without going beyond the scope of claimed protection of the invention.

On the other hand, the means of assembling the knife and the snowshoeing also include locking means in rotation which are constituted by a central projection (33) intended to be engaged in the front hole (180a), as shown in Figures 10, 11 and 12, the rotation lock being done by cooperation and abutment of the faces lateral (33a, 33b) of the central projection (33) with the internal walls (250a, 250b) lateral projections (25a, 25b) bordering the front hole (180a). Note therefore that the shape of the central projection is complementary and adjusted to the shape and dimensions of the hole (180a, 180b, 180c) which receives in order to precisely block any pivoting of the knife by compared to snowshoeing.

According to the preferred embodiment, the knife (30) comprises locking means intended to allow it to be fixed so removable on the racket. The locking means consist of part by a lock (35) intended to come to bear on the upper face sieve, i.e. on the central wall (20) of the longitudinal edge (18) of the snowshoe and more precisely on the edges of its hole before (180a). Note also that the central projection (33) of the knife (30) is such that its upper wall (330) includes a rear extension (330a) extending rearward to be engaged in the front hole (180a) to bear on the bearing surface (20) of the edge longitudinal (18) as shown in Figures 11 and 12, said rear extension (330a) thus allowing the locking means have two upper support zones on the racket sieve in order to maintain the upper bearing surface (31) of the knife (30) against the lower bearing surface (32) of the screen, as shown in the figure 13.

It is important to note that according to the preferred embodiment knife, racket and their respective assembly means, said means advantageously allow the positioning of the knife by engagement of this one by the underside of the racket.

According to the preferred embodiment, the lock (35) is obtained from in a manner known per se thanks to a pivotally mounted wall portion on the central projection (33) around an axis (34). It goes without saying that, according to what embodiment, the latch (35) may also include clamping means thanks to its axis (34) which can be threaded so as to ability to cooperate with wing nut, for example to lock firmly assemble the knife on the snowshoe and avoid any game between the two which could hinder the user during his progress. he it goes without saying that the locking means could be obtained by means of equivalent devices, without going outside the protective field claimed of the invention. Similarly, the knife (30) could not include only assembly means, the locking means for locking the knife in its position which can be arranged directly on the snowshoe and be constituted for example by a sliding type lock.

According to the invention, the knife (30) comprises two side walls (36, 37) provided with a succession of teeth (36a, 36b, 36c, 37a, 37b, 37c) as shown in Figures 8 and 10. The side walls (36, 37) extend the support walls (310a, 310b) and form with them substantially a right angle so as to extend vertically towards the bottom, as shown in Figure 9. They are arranged parallel to on either side of the longitudinal plane of symmetry (Q) of the knife (30) advantageously symmetrically, said plane (Q) of the knife (30) being intended to merge with the plane (P) of general symmetry longitudinal of the snowshoe when assembling the knife on this one.

According to the preferred embodiment of the knife according to the invention, the teeth (36a, 36b, 36c, 37a, 37b, 37c) of the side walls are the same dimension, their ends being located in the same horizontal plane (H1), as shown in Figure 8. However, it goes without saying that the size teeth could be different from one wall to another or within a same wall. Thus, according to the alternative embodiment illustrated in FIG. 17, the teeth size advantageously increases from front (AV) to back (AR). Note that the end of the teeth (36a, 36b, 36c, 36d, 37a, 37b, 37c, 37d) can thus be arranged either in the same plane or in several planes different, said planes being located under the horizontal plane (H2) defined by the lower edge (7) of the frame (2).

Lorsque l'ensemble des surfaces d'appui respectives (31, 32) sont positionnées, il suffit de verrouiller le couteau à l'aide de son verrou pivotant (35).According to the preferred embodiment of the knife according to the invention, it is put in place and assembled on the snowshoe, as shown in figures 10 to 12 by engaging the central projection (33) in the front hole (180a) so as to position the extension rear (330a) resting on the wall portion of the edge (18) which separates the front hole (180a) of the central hole (180b). When all of respective bearing surfaces (31, 32) are positioned, it suffices to lock the knife using its swivel lock (35).

Note that the assembly and locking means of the knife and snowshoe could have a configuration different, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention. Thus, the knife could, for example, be positioned while engaging from above the sieve straddling the longitudinal edge, for example, the swivel lock then locks the knife from below the racket snow.

Furthermore, according to an embodiment not shown, the knife could be assembled to the snowshoe either on its sieve but directly under the articulated plate of the fixing, the means assembly and locking of the knife to the plate which can be similar to those described above.

According to another alternative embodiment, the side walls (36, 37) are inclined with respect to the plane of symmetry (Q) of the knife so as to converge upwards (HA), as shown in Figure 16. According to this embodiment, the external face of the upper parts said walls (36, 37) can constitute a support wall intended to cooperate with the underside of the inclined surfaces (21a, 21b) of the screen (4) which thus constitutes a lateral reinforcement for said walls.

According to another embodiment of the knife illustrated in FIG. 18, the side walls (36, 37) are no longer arranged parallel to the plane (Q), but are arranged to converge forward (AV). They thus form in an longitudinal plane with the plane (Q) an angle (σ) open to the rear (AR) between 0 and 60 °. It is obvious that the inclination of the side walls, the number of teeth they carry as well as their configuration could be different, without go outside the claimed protective field of the invention.

According to an embodiment not shown, the knife can have a transverse attachment wall which connects its walls side, said transverse wall may also include a set of transverse or longitudinal teeth.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the modes of realization described and represented as examples.
