Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Fehlererkennungseinrichtung (23) für Brennkraftmaschinen und ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer Brennkraftmaschine (1) mit zumindest zwei Abgassträngen (21,22), jeweils einer Lambda-Sonde (27,28) in einem Abgasstrang, einer gemeinsamen Meßvorrichtung (3) zur Erfassung der zugeführten Luft und einer gemeinsamen Steuereinrichtung (29) zur Zumessung von Kraftstoff. Um eine Brennkraftmaschine mit einer verbesserten Fehlererkennung zu schaffen wird vorgeschlagen, Lambdasonden einzusetzen, die ein stetiges Signal für den Lambdawert des Abgases erzeugen. Die Fehlererkennungseinrichtung erkennt dann einen Fehler, wenn die von den Lambdasonden gelieferten Signale voneinander abweichen.
