    Claims (6)

    1. A device for limiting the force applied on an actuating mechanism (14) for a binding device (2) and/or a perforating/punching device (1), said actuating mechanism (14) being comprised of a rotatable axis (6) coupled with the corresponding movable part (15) of the binding and/or perforating/punching device (2; 1) such that a rotational movement of the axis (6) is transformed into a translational movement of the corresponding movable part (15) of the binding and/or perforating/punching device (2; 1), characterized in that the actuating mechanism (14) is provided with a coupling mechanism (4) which is destroyed when exceeding a maximum admissible force (F) applied on said actuating mechanism (14).
    2. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that the actuating mechanism (14) for the binding and/or perforating/punching device (2; 1) has a lever (5) connected with the rotatable axis (6).
    3. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that the actuating mechanism (14) for the binding and/or perforating/punching device (2; 1) has a motor driving the rotatable axis (6).
    4. The device according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the coupling mechanism (4) is comprised of a pin (8) establishing the connection between the motor or lever (5) and the rotatable axis (6), which pin will break when exceeding a maximum admissible force (F).
