Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a switch connector with in contact chambers Insulating body arranged contact elements, the contact elements have at least one resilient arm within the contact chambers, where contact knife of a corresponding mating connector in the Contact chambers are insertable and thereby with the contact elements in Contact and provided at least one short circuit bridge which short-circuits two contact elements when the mating connector is not inserted and wherein when inserting the knife contacts into the contact chambers the short circuit is released.
Such switch plugs are used in electronic systems in contacts or contacts selected when disconnecting a connector Contact elements of one connector, namely the switch connector, not end as "open" contacts (signal lines), but with each other need to be connected.
her.
From US 5 352 129 A a switch connector is known, the contact chambers of the socket strip are each equipped with a two-leg spring contact, which ensures the receiving and contacting the blade contacts of the mating connector. The spring legs of two adjacent spring contacts to be connected to one another each have switching lugs on one of the two spring legs, which protrude into the open space between these contact chambers such that the switching lugs overlap when the male connector is not plugged in and make an electrical connection with one another. When the male connector is inserted, the spring legs of the socket contacts are deflected in such a way that the switching lugs between the contact chambers move away from one another and the electrical connection between these two contacts is removed.
It is also known to use a rigid contact bridge in the open space between the adjacent spring contacts to be switched, which bridge bridge fulfills the function of the overlapping switching lugs. When the male connector is not plugged in, the four spring legs of the adjacent spring contacts contact this contact bridge and establish an electrical connection between these two spring contacts. With the male connector inserted, all four spring legs of the two spring contacts are moved away from the said contact bridge and the electrical connection is broken.
In addition, from DE 21 31 171 B2 a connector with a short circuit bridge known, with two adjacent socket contacts in the unplugged state of a mating connector through a short circuit jumper are conductively connected. When the mating connector is inserted, the Short circuit due to the action of an isolated actuator on the Short circuit bridge opened.
To provide a safe switching function required in technical applications guarantee, signal information errors due to bounce pulses Switching on and off, as well as excessive contact resistance in the switched Condition can be avoided, which is only possible by a sufficiently large Contact force can be achieved by means of the spring elements. A safe one Disconnection of the electrical connection in the non-switched state must over a sufficiently large contact distance (air and creepage distances) be secured.
In the solutions mentioned above, the contact force in the short-circuited condition and the contact distances in the not short-circuited Status. When not short-circuited, i.e. H. when plugged in Knife strip, the spring legs are deflected by <½ knife width, so that only a maximum contact distance corresponding to the knife thickness, minus the thickness of the contact bridge. An enlargement the contact spacing can only be achieved by reducing the contact bridge thickness can be achieved, but then at the same time smaller contact forces in the short-circuited state.
The switch connector required in technical applications Functional reliability is therefore not optimal with the known solutions Way fulfilled.
The invention has for its object a switch connector of the beginning mentioned type in such a way that the bounce behavior during the mating process, the contact resistance in the switched state, and the contact distance in the non-switched state to a for technical Requirements are brought to a significantly improved level.
This object is achieved in that the short circuit bridge formed as a rigid contact part and with at least one contact leg is provided between the resilient arms of the Contact elements is arranged, and that each of the in the contact chambers contact elements to be switched, each with a switch spring leg provided switching element is provided, the switching spring leg in such a way acts on the resilient arm of the respective contact element, that this is deflected until the switch spring leg on the contact leg the short circuit bridge reaches the system.
angegeben.Advantageous embodiments of the invention are in
The advantages achieved by the invention are in particular that a reduced bounce behavior during insertion and removal process and thus Information error pulses are avoided, with smaller contact resistances due to high contact forces when switched, and larger ones Contact distances (clearances and creepage distances) when not switched available. This ensures safe and clear switching behavior achieved.
Furthermore, optimized functional conditions by dividing the Contact function to the male connector and the switching function, on three functional elements, and a safe short-circuit function thanks to two contact points achieved per contact chamber, with no additional insulating functional parts are required for the disconnection of the short-circuit connection.
Existing, two-legged spring contacts can also be used by simply removing one of the two spring legs and commercially available mating connectors can also be used will.

The switch connector shown in FIG. 1 essentially consists of an

17 der Kurzschlußbrücke 8 hineinragen, fixiert.FIG. 3 shows a sectional view of the switch connector through the

The short-
aufgehoben. The switching function is illustrated in FIGS. 5A, 5B and 6A, 6B. The short-
Although it was assumed above that two are directly adjacent Contact elements can be switched (short-circuited), if necessary, provided be that the contact elements to be switched are not directly next to each other lie. The short-circuit bridge is then designed so that the Contact chambers of the contact elements not to be switched are bypassed.
