Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Einrichtung zum Sortieren flacher, mit Verteilinformationen versehener Sendungen mit einer Merkmalsabtast-und Leseeinrichtung, Verteilfächern, Transporteinrichtungen, bei der zur Reduzierung der Zeiten zwischen zwei mehrgängigen Sortierungen ein erster Sendungsspeicher für in aufrechter Position gestapelte Sendungen zur Aufnahme der im ersten und jeden weiteren Sortiergang sortierten Sendungen mit Mitteln zur Übernahme der Sendungen aus den Verteilfächern und zum Transport zu einer die jeweils vorderste Sendung abziehenden Vereinzelungsvorrichtung, vorhanden ist. Weiterhin ist ein zweiter Sendungsspeicher zur Aufnahme der im ersten Sortiergang zu sortierenden Sendungen mit einer Entleerungsvorrichtung, die die gestapelten Sendungen zu einer die jeweils vorderste Sendung abziehenden Vereinzelungsvorrichtung transportiert, vorhanden.
