- A chain-type drawing machine for the continuous drawing of rods and tubes by means of segment-like drawing tools (15) which are moved forwards synchronously on two drawing chains (1) lying in one plane, which tools are guided rolling on rigid guides (10) in an endless loop such that in each case opposing drawing tools press on the material being drawn and entrain it by friction, the contact pressure forces of the drawing tools in the region in which the tools come into contact with the tube are supported by means of load-bearing rollers (7) which are entrained in an endless loop between the inner surface of the drawing elements (14) and the rigid guide (10),
characterised in that
in each case two rollers (7) which are joined together at both ends via plates (9) and are mounted on journals (8) are combined to form a wagon-like roller element (6), a plurality of which are held at the ends loosely against each other in an endless guideway (10) which revolves in the plane of the drawing chains (1) and guides the roller elements (6) through their entire revolution and between the flat rear side of the drawing chain (1) and the rigid guideway (10). - A chain-type drawing machine for the continuous drawing of rods and tubes according to Claim 1, characterised in that the guideway (10) is provided with lateral guide bars (12, 13) which at least partially surround the plates (9) of the roller elements (6) on the side remote from the guideway (10).
- A chain-type drawing machine for the continuous drawing of rods and tubes according to Claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the guideway (10) is designed for two roller elements (6) guided next to each other in each case, between which a guide bar (11) which projects at least in part across the facing plates (9) of both roller elements (6).
- A chain-type drawing machine for the continuous drawing of rods and tubes according to Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that at least one of the guide bars (11, 12, 13) is removable for dismantling the roller elements (6).
- A chain-type drawing machine for the continuous drawing of rods and tubes according to Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that a plurality of rollers (7) of a roller element (6) are arranged next to one another on a journal (8).
- A chain-type drawing machine for the continuous drawing of rods and tubes according to Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the end faces of the plates (9) of each roller element (6) are made alternately convex and concave as bearing surfaces for adjacent roller elements (6), the radii of the end faces being selected corresponding to the deflection radii of the roller elements (6).
