Claims (3)

  1. Method of washing washloads, which comprise items of laundry of different fabric types, in a washing machine having a control panel, in which are disposed a rotatable selector switch and/or a pressure switch which, on the one hand, are used to set a washing program which is dependent on the fabric type (laundry to be boilded/coloured laundry, easy-care, wool) and on the temperature and, on the other hand, permit the setting of a program to wash a washload (mixed laundry 40° C), which comprises items of laundry of different fabric types, and having a program control which runs the set program, taking account of program parameters stipulated therefor, one laundry parameter being intended at the beginning of the program for mixed laundry, which parameter permits an inference to the composition of the washload, and in that those programmed operations, whereby the program is continued, are subsequently determined from a number of selectable programmed operations in dependence on the measured laundry parameter, characterised in that a restriction to a maximum rotational speed occurs independently of the rotational speed set, and the water level is increased compared with the level of a conventional program for laundry to be boiled/coloured laundry.
  2. Method of washing washloads according to claim 1, characterised in that the suction time from initially reaching an upper water level to the initial dropping to a lower water level is measured as the laundry parameter.
  3. Washing machine for accomplishing the method, according to claim 1 or 2, with a measuring device which determines a laundry parameter, which permits an inference to the composition of the washload, when selecting the program to wash a washload which comprises items of laundry of different fabric types (mixed laundry), and by a control means which determines those programmed operations, whereby the program is continued, from a number of selectable programmed operations, in dependence on the measured laundry parameter, when selecting the program for washing a washload which comprises items of laundry of different fabric types, and characterised in that the control means causes the maximum rotational speed to be limited and the water level to be increased compared with a conventional program for laundry to be boiled/coloured laundry.
