Definitions
- the invention relates to a film-like laminated material having the features of the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a layer material is from the DE 43 20 377 A1 known.
- This coating material is a card that adheres as a flat part by pressing on a substrate.
- the card is made of plastic and is matched with its adhesive film to adhere to the surface.
- the pad is a smooth surface on which the adhesive film adheres without expensive adhesive, but only by adhesion forces that develop between the adhesive film and the pad when applying the card to this pad. It has now been found that the service life of such coating materials is limited. The adhesion of the cards to the pad will diminish in the course of repeated or longer use of the card.
- a coating material whose support has a color layer on one side, which in turn is coated with a protective layer.
- the carrier On its other side, the carrier is provided with a release layer, on which an adhesive layer is applied, which in turn is provided with a cover sheet.
- a test of this coating material is provided, which is placed in a sheath of plastic film to detect any effect of a plasticizer on the ink layer. The boundary layer of the coating material prevents migration of the plasticizer through the adhesive layer into the carrier and thus into the color layer.
- the invention has the object to improve a film-like layer material with the features mentioned in that it remains permanently operational, so without diminishing the adhesive forces on the specific for him smooth surface even after prolonged use.
- the carrier layer is formed at least plasticizer-inhibiting.
- Plasticizer inhibition reduces the risk that the adhesive film reduces or loses its adhesiveness.
- Plasticizer inhibition by means of the carrier layer is indispensable in the event of decreasing or absent inhibition of the migration of the plasticizer through the adhesive.
- Plasticizers are any additives to the adhesive film which, regardless of their chemical composition, give them a soft rubber-like consistency.
- the support layer connected to the adhesion film is designed such that it itself absorbs virtually no plasticizers from the film and thus simultaneously blocks the migration of plasticizer components into other material layers arranged behind the carrier layer from the adhesion film. As a result, it is possible to design the structure of the coating material otherwise variable, namely the respective requirements of the production process or the final product adapted accordingly, without having to take further considerations on any plasticizer migrations.
- the layer material can be developed so that the carrier layer is laminated on its surface opposite the adhesive film with a cover layer.
- This cover layer can be adapted to the intended use of the coating material individually.
- the cover layer may, for example, be a protective layer which protects a pressure present on the carrier layer. It may have properties that lack the backing layer.
- the carrier layer and / or the cover layer consists of a polyester film or exist.
- the material polyester film is available as a carrier layer and also as a cover layer in various strengths and can be adapted to the other coating materials, the production conditions and the requirements of the end product so that it complements the adhesive film and / or the other coating materials and compensates for their weaknesses.
- the printability of the polyester film If this film is transparent, it can be used for back printing, so for back printing, wherein the adhesive film of the laminate on a transparent glass surface or the like can be attached by simply pressing. The print can be recognized through the glass, the adhesive film and the transparent carrier layer or the cover layer.
- the coating material can be formed so that the polyester film is optimized on the outside with respect to their wipeability or printability.
- An improved wiping of the polyester film is achieved when it is as smooth as possible and antistatic on its outside.
- For their external printability however, a predetermined roughness of advantage, as a result of which the ink adheres better.
- different treatment methods are conceivable, if the intention is to deviate from the production-related properties. For example, chemical pretreatments are possible. It is possible to have an electrostatic charging treatment or even a special coating.
- the coating material is formed in such a way that the carrier layer and / or the cover layer is / are self-resetting. This ensures, for example, that the coating material is always flat, even if he after rolled up in order to be able to transport it.
- the elements made of it, for example cards, are even and even with inappropriate storage of such cards, for example on an uneven surface, the carrier layer is due to their self-recovering properties in a position to make the coating material lie flat on the surface.
- This self-tapping which is particularly pronounced in the case of polyester film, gives the coating material the requisite dimensional stability, which is decisive for optimum adhesion of the adhesive film of the coating material to the substrate.
- the self-recovery is determined by the thickness of the coating material. It should be noted that the adhesive film is extremely deformable or crushable.
- the coating material can be suitably formed so that the carrier layer in a two-layered formation of the coating material about 100 to 200 Am and / or the adhesive film is about 250 microns thick.
- the layer material is neither too limp nor too stiff for further processing, in particular for further processing as sheet material.
- the adhesive film is about 250 microns thick, it can also cope with the strains occurring in conventional processing method, without being too thin so that they could no longer muster the required adhesion forces.
- the self-tapping of the two-ply layer material is ensured, in particular in the abovementioned dimensioning of the carrier layers, if these consist of polyester film.
- the polyester film can be printed on, for example as a sheet in screen or offset printing. Printing in web-fed printing is also technically possible, but high film losses occur when setting up and starting up the web-fed printing press. Especially in view of this, the aim is to use two-layer composite material, since then cost the film losses the least.
- the layer material can also be formed so that the carrier layer is about 50 microns thick and the top layer about 100 to 200 microns thick in three or more layers of the coating material.
- the only 50 micron thin carrier layer can serve as a print image carrier. It is very stable in terms of identification and can also provide a distortion-free print image in large machines with a correspondingly strong pull during processing. Such a precise print image makes a precise punching result possible. However, exact printing and punching results are of great importance, especially in the area of advertising and presentation. In the case of a three-layered or multi-layered material, the self-recovery forces must be applied substantially through the support layer and through the cover layer together or individually.
- Carrier layers printed in particular in roll printing are generally provided with a cover layer subsequent to the roll printing. It serves to protect the pressure, especially at high thickness and takes over the provision of the coating material.
- the cover layer may be wipeable and writable, the cover layer contributing to avoiding chemical deterioration of the support layer from any indicia, e.g. a chemical impairment by solvents.
- the cover layer also prevents easy mechanical damage to the backing layer, e.g. B. by scratching.
- the cover layer will often be a polyester film whose self-resetting and anti-softening properties are utilized.
- the layer material can also be formed so that the cover layer is a polyethylene film or a polypropylene film.
- These films are also available in the strengths that are important for practical use in advertising, presentation and presentation.
- the polypropylene film has the advantage that it scratch-resistant even without further protective layer, e.g. printed in offset printing and that it is also suitable for direct contact with food.
- the polypropylene film or OPP film is conventionally used for cellophane wrapping.
- the layer material is given by the fact that the support layer is clear or colored and the cover layer is clear.
- the coloring of the carrier layer allows the optical blocking of the background or the base to which the coating material is applied, for example, as a card. At the same time, this improves the recognizability of a pressure which takes place either on the carrier layer or on the cover layer.
- the clarity of the cover layer makes it possible to detect the coloring of the support layer and any pressure.
- the coloring of the carrier layer also has the advantage that a film-like layer material can be formed, which optically shuts off the substrate and is without a cover layer.
- a support layer made of polyester film can also be used through-dyed in white to block off the substrate.
- the polyester film Due to its high density, the polyester film achieves a high degree of opacity, even at the above-mentioned low intensities, and thus supports the blocking of the substrate, which can not normally be achieved to a sufficient extent solely by the printing.
- the above-described embodiment can be omitted if the adhesive film itself is already colored white.
- polyester film When using polyester film, it can be printed as a carrier layer and as a cover layer.
- a further layer will be necessary following the printing usually, for example, the above-described Covering layer to protect the printed image if it is not sufficiently scratch-resistant or resistant to other effects for the respective application.
- the above-described cover layer for the protection of a Bedruck produced in offset printing but can for example also consist of a simple paint or cellophane of the support layer.
- the coating material in such a way that its carrier layer and the adhesion foil stick together due to the adhesion action of the latter.
- an adhesive bonding the adhesive film to the carrier layer is at least plasticizer-inhibiting.
- An adhesive for bonding the adhesive film to the backing layer is required to achieve a permanent bonding of both components.
- a sticking of the carrier layer and the adhesive film alone due to the bonding action of the adhesive film is not sufficiently secure. Restoring forces in the materials and / or temperature influences could cause the two parts to be joined at least partially separate from each other.
- the formation of the adhesive between the adhesive film and the carrier layer in the sense of inhibiting the migration of the plasticizer from the film into the carrier layer can cause the coating material to have a sufficient service life.
- the plasticizer remains trapped in the adhesive film when the adhesive is softener blocking.
- the coating material is formed so that the adhesive is a polyurethane adhesive.
- the coating material is formed so that the adhesive for the cover layer is the same adhesive as that between the adhesive film and the support layer. This results in particular for the production of the coating material, the advantage that a machine change is avoided to order different adhesive.
- the laminate can be formed by appropriate adhesive concentration so that its layers are adhesively bonded together. Cards that are no longer usable can then be sorted by type if their layers consist of different materials.
- the coating material can also be formed so that the cover layer or the carrier layer is provided with a protective layer.
- a protective layer This results in a three- or four-ply layer material. This is particularly useful when a base layer material of adhesive film, carrier layer possibly plus cover layer, and cover layer is produced cost effective in roll production in appropriate quantities to be subsequently printed and processed for smaller specialty products in the form of sheets.
- the protective layer then protects the pressure on the carrier layer or the cover layer.
- the protective layer is for example a simple cellophane wrapping of polypropylene or a Lakkêt.
- a development of the coating material can be achieved in that the protective layer adheres to the carrier layer or on the cover layer by means of adhesive and is removable from this deposited on the layer of adhesive.
- the protective layer covers the adhesive until it is peeled off. After peeling off the protective layer, it is possible to fix any spots or parts as far as they are held by the adhesive.
- the stains are, for example, paper stains, such as non-adhesive labels or Textilstory.
- the flekken may also consist of films that are printed, or it will be glued relief-like or three-dimensional parts, each of which is not provided with adhesive.
- a significant advantage of this embodiment of the coating material is that self-made spots or parts of paper, films or the like can be mounted on the coating material and then attached to the opposite Adphosungsfolienseite by simply pressing on smooth surfaces.
- the coating material In order to be able to produce the coating material inexpensively, it is important to manufacture it on a roll and then continue to process it, for example by machine, to the finished end product. Roll longitudinal and cross section, printing, punching, etc. may be necessary. In particular mechanical processing steps, the adhesive film is a hindrance because the material is blocked by the adhesive effect and is e.g. When printing or punching, do not simply grasp the machine and do not stack it exactly after cutting. It is therefore advantageous to form the coating material in such a way that the adhesion film is provided on the adhesion side with an adhesively adhesive peelable, non-adhesive on its free side, plasticizer-inhibiting cover layer.
- the cover layer is made of paper which is smooth enough on one side to adhere to the adhesive film, as far as necessary for the required production steps, and which, on the other side, is rough in order to be able to slide and prevent sticking , The end user can release the cover layer.
- the cover layer is plasticizer-inhibiting to avoid hardening of the adhesive film by plasticizer migration into the paper.
- Suitable papers are polyethylene extruded or cast coated papers.
- the coating material can be formed in such a way the cover layer is a plastic film.
- the cover layer is a plastic film.
- polypropylene is used.
- the plastic film has the advantage that the coating material is flat in the machine further processing, because the plastic film reacts to, for example, changes in moisture, other than the existing plastic layers.
- the plastic film is glossy on one side and dull on the other side. With its glossy outer surface it adheres well to the adhesive film and its free matte outer surface prevents in particular a blocking of trained as a sheet material layer material during its further processing. There is also little electrostatic charge, which is also important for machine processing.
- the layer materials 10 shown in the figures are shown schematically and without taking into account dimensions. It can be assumed that they are film-sized or sheet-like materials whose cross-section is shown without taking into account actual dimensions. But it could also be cross sections of smaller parts, like maps.
- the coating material of Fig. 1 consists essentially of a carrier layer 11 having a surface 11 ', which is printable, for example.
- the carrier layer 11 is connected by means of an adhesive 14 with an adhesive film 13, namely the entire surface. It is assumed that the thickness of the layer formed by the adhesive 14 is comparatively low.
- the adhesion film used is, for example, a polyvinyl chloride film which is set by a corresponding proportion of plasticizer so that it is similar to a soft rubber.
- the back side 12 of this layer 11 may also be provided only on a partial area with adhesive 14 and accordingly with adhesion film 13.
- the adhesive 14 is formed in a manner not shown plasticizer, which can be achieved for example by the use of polyurethane adhesives that are dry and blocking. A transfer of plasticizer from the adhesive film 13 into the carrier layer 11 is thereby inhibited. By appropriate adjustment of the adhesive, this can also be practically softener blocking.
- the carrier layer 11 is about 100 to 200 microns thick.
- the carrier layer 11 is designed to be resistant to plasticizers, for which purpose, for example, a polyester film is used.
- the in Fig.1 shown layer material can be used in particular as printed sheet goods.
- the surface 11 ' can only be used in Fig.2 Protective layer 17 shown, which protects the printing against contamination.
- the pressure constituting ink is separated by such a protective layer 17.
- the coating material is consequently designed to be food-friendly and can be added to foods containing packings because the printing ink can not get to or into the food. In such cases, the coating material is used for example for collecting pictures. Accordingly, the cover layer 18 will be formed food-friendly.
- a carrier layer 11 transparent or colored polyester, which introduces the above-described advantageous properties.
- the adhesive film will be transparent on a regular basis, rarely colored. A coloring is to cover the substrate advantageous if the coating material is not completely printed. Transparent materials are necessary if the coating material is to be glued with its adhesive film on a transparent surface and the printing through the layers to be seen through, as is the case for example with advertising media or fan articles, which are glued behind glass and are mirror-image printed on the surface 11 '.
- the in Fig.2 Layer material 10 shown is constructed in the manner described from a carrier layer 11 and an adhesive film 13, which are interconnected by an adhesive 14, which is formed at least plasticizer inhibiting.
- a cover layer 15 is laminated on the surface 11 'of the carrier layer 11.
- the cover layer 15 adheres to the surface 11 'by means of an adhesive 16 having, for example, the same layer thickness as the adhesive 14. It may also have the same chemical composition.
- the cover layer 15 is about three times as thick as the 50 ⁇ m thick carrier layer 11, namely about 175 ⁇ m thick.
- the cover layer 15 can be matched in its properties to the use of the layer material 10.
- the comparatively large thickness can be used to mechanically protect the carrier layer 11. It can also improve the recovery of the coating material 10, for example as a polyester film.
- the cover layer 15 can be protected, for example, by a protective layer 17, the for example, a paint job.
- the protective layer can also be formed as a special anti-static finish of the cover layer or the carrier layer, so that the coating material can be easily wiped off and its surface can be inscribed again and again, which can be of crucial importance for presentation and moderation.
- Fig. 1.2 each still show a cover 18, for example, a paper layer or a matte plastic film, with the unwanted adhesion of the adhesive film on smooth documents or during the production process can be prevented.

In contrast, the invention has the object to improve a film-like layer material with the features mentioned in that it remains permanently operational, so without diminishing the adhesive forces on the specific for him smooth surface even after prolonged use.
This object is solved by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.
This object is achieved in that the carrier layer is formed at least plasticizer-inhibiting.
The plasticizer inhibition reduces the risk that the adhesive film reduces or loses its adhesiveness. Plasticizer inhibition by means of the carrier layer is indispensable in the event of decreasing or absent inhibition of the migration of the plasticizer through the adhesive. Plasticizers are any additives to the adhesive film which, regardless of their chemical composition, give them a soft rubber-like consistency. The support layer connected to the adhesion film is designed such that it itself absorbs virtually no plasticizers from the film and thus simultaneously blocks the migration of plasticizer components into other material layers arranged behind the carrier layer from the adhesion film. As a result, it is possible to design the structure of the coating material otherwise variable, namely the respective requirements of the production process or the final product adapted accordingly, without having to take further considerations on any plasticizer migrations.
The layer material can be developed so that the carrier layer is laminated on its surface opposite the adhesive film with a cover layer. This cover layer can be adapted to the intended use of the coating material individually. The cover layer may, for example, be a protective layer which protects a pressure present on the carrier layer. It may have properties that lack the backing layer.
When choosing a material to inhibit migration of plasticizer, it is important that it be a high density, hard material. In this sense, it has proved to be advantageous to form the coating material so that the carrier layer and / or the cover layer consists of a polyester film or exist. The material polyester film is available as a carrier layer and also as a cover layer in various strengths and can be adapted to the other coating materials, the production conditions and the requirements of the end product so that it complements the adhesive film and / or the other coating materials and compensates for their weaknesses. Also advantageous is the printability of the polyester film. If this film is transparent, it can be used for back printing, so for back printing, wherein the adhesive film of the laminate on a transparent glass surface or the like can be attached by simply pressing. The print can be recognized through the glass, the adhesive film and the transparent carrier layer or the cover layer.
The coating material can be formed so that the polyester film is optimized on the outside with respect to their wipeability or printability. An improved wiping of the polyester film is achieved when it is as smooth as possible and antistatic on its outside. For their external printability, however, a predetermined roughness of advantage, as a result of which the ink adheres better. In order to achieve the abovementioned properties of the polyester film, different treatment methods are conceivable, if the intention is to deviate from the production-related properties. For example, chemical pretreatments are possible. It is possible to have an electrostatic charging treatment or even a special coating.
Of further importance is to form the coating material in such a way that the carrier layer and / or the cover layer is / are self-resetting. This ensures, for example, that the coating material is always flat, even if he after rolled up in order to be able to transport it. The elements made of it, for example cards, are even and even with inappropriate storage of such cards, for example on an uneven surface, the carrier layer is due to their self-recovering properties in a position to make the coating material lie flat on the surface. This self-tapping, which is particularly pronounced in the case of polyester film, gives the coating material the requisite dimensional stability, which is decisive for optimum adhesion of the adhesive film of the coating material to the substrate. The self-recovery is determined by the thickness of the coating material. It should be noted that the adhesive film is extremely deformable or crushable.
The self-ticketing forces must therefore be applied in a two-ply material substantially through the carrier layer. Therefore, the coating material can be suitably formed so that the carrier layer in a two-layered formation of the coating material about 100 to 200 Am and / or the adhesive film is about 250 microns thick. With such a dimensioning of the carrier layer, the layer material is neither too limp nor too stiff for further processing, in particular for further processing as sheet material. If the adhesive film is about 250 microns thick, it can also cope with the strains occurring in conventional processing method, without being too thin so that they could no longer muster the required adhesion forces. In the specified dimensioning of the adhesion film, the self-tapping of the two-ply layer material is ensured, in particular in the abovementioned dimensioning of the carrier layers, if these consist of polyester film.
The polyester film can be printed on, for example as a sheet in screen or offset printing. Printing in web-fed printing is also technically possible, but high film losses occur when setting up and starting up the web-fed printing press. Especially in view of this, the aim is to use two-layer composite material, since then cost the film losses the least.
However, the layer material can also be formed so that the carrier layer is about 50 microns thick and the top layer about 100 to 200 microns thick in three or more layers of the coating material. The only 50 micron thin carrier layer can serve as a print image carrier.
Carrier layers printed in particular in roll printing are generally provided with a cover layer subsequent to the roll printing. It serves to protect the pressure, especially at high thickness and takes over the provision of the coating material. The cover layer may be wipeable and writable, the cover layer contributing to avoiding chemical deterioration of the support layer from any indicia, e.g. a chemical impairment by solvents. The cover layer also prevents easy mechanical damage to the backing layer, e.g. B. by scratching. However, for a thin backing layer, to achieve the required self-recovery, the cover layer will often be a polyester film whose self-resetting and anti-softening properties are utilized.
However, the layer material can also be formed so that the cover layer is a polyethylene film or a polypropylene film. These films are also available in the strengths that are important for practical use in advertising, presentation and presentation. The polypropylene film has the advantage that it scratch-resistant even without further protective layer, e.g. printed in offset printing and that it is also suitable for direct contact with food. The polypropylene film or OPP film is conventionally used for cellophane wrapping.
An expedient embodiment of the layer material is given by the fact that the support layer is clear or colored and the cover layer is clear. The coloring of the carrier layer allows the optical blocking of the background or the base to which the coating material is applied, for example, as a card. At the same time, this improves the recognizability of a pressure which takes place either on the carrier layer or on the cover layer. The clarity of the cover layer makes it possible to detect the coloring of the support layer and any pressure. The coloring of the carrier layer also has the advantage that a film-like layer material can be formed, which optically shuts off the substrate and is without a cover layer. A support layer made of polyester film can also be used through-dyed in white to block off the substrate. Due to its high density, the polyester film achieves a high degree of opacity, even at the above-mentioned low intensities, and thus supports the blocking of the substrate, which can not normally be achieved to a sufficient extent solely by the printing. The above-described embodiment can be omitted if the adhesive film itself is already colored white. When using polyester film, it can be printed as a carrier layer and as a cover layer. In particular, when using the offset printing method, a further layer will be necessary following the printing usually, for example, the above-described Covering layer to protect the printed image if it is not sufficiently scratch-resistant or resistant to other effects for the respective application. The above-described cover layer for the protection of a Bedruck produced in offset printing but can for example also consist of a simple paint or cellophane of the support layer.
It is possible to construct the coating material in such a way that its carrier layer and the adhesion foil stick together due to the adhesion action of the latter. However, it is advisable to form the coating material in such a way that an adhesive bonding the adhesive film to the carrier layer is at least plasticizer-inhibiting. An adhesive for bonding the adhesive film to the backing layer is required to achieve a permanent bonding of both components. A sticking of the carrier layer and the adhesive film alone due to the bonding action of the adhesive film is not sufficiently secure. Restoring forces in the materials and / or temperature influences could cause the two parts to be joined at least partially separate from each other. The formation of the adhesive between the adhesive film and the carrier layer in the sense of inhibiting the migration of the plasticizer from the film into the carrier layer can cause the coating material to have a sufficient service life. The plasticizer remains trapped in the adhesive film when the adhesive is softener blocking.
In order to further develop the layer material, it is advantageous to use dry adhesives which, even with small layer thicknesses, apply sufficient adhesive forces and in so doing can repel components of the parts to be joined or can not absorb them. In this sense, the coating material is formed so that the adhesive is a polyurethane adhesive.
Advantageously, the coating material is formed so that the adhesive for the cover layer is the same adhesive as that between the adhesive film and the support layer. This results in particular for the production of the coating material, the advantage that a machine change is avoided to order different adhesive.
For the use of coating materials, it is important that they are recyclable. In view of this, the laminate can be formed by appropriate adhesive concentration so that its layers are adhesively bonded together. Cards that are no longer usable can then be sorted by type if their layers consist of different materials.
The coating material can also be formed so that the cover layer or the carrier layer is provided with a protective layer. This results in a three- or four-ply layer material. This is particularly useful when a base layer material of adhesive film, carrier layer possibly plus cover layer, and cover layer is produced cost effective in roll production in appropriate quantities to be subsequently printed and processed for smaller specialty products in the form of sheets. The protective layer then protects the pressure on the carrier layer or the cover layer. The protective layer is for example a simple cellophane wrapping of polypropylene or a Lakkierung.
A development of the coating material can be achieved in that the protective layer adheres to the carrier layer or on the cover layer by means of adhesive and is removable from this deposited on the layer of adhesive. In this case, the protective layer covers the adhesive until it is peeled off. After peeling off the protective layer, it is possible to fix any spots or parts as far as they are held by the adhesive. The stains are, for example, paper stains, such as non-adhesive labels or Papierbildchen. The flekken may also consist of films that are printed, or it will be glued relief-like or three-dimensional parts, each of which is not provided with adhesive. A significant advantage of this embodiment of the coating material is that self-made spots or parts of paper, films or the like can be mounted on the coating material and then attached to the opposite Adhäsungsfolienseite by simply pressing on smooth surfaces.
In order to be able to produce the coating material inexpensively, it is important to manufacture it on a roll and then continue to process it, for example by machine, to the finished end product. For example, the cover layer is made of paper which is smooth enough on one side to adhere to the adhesive film, as far as necessary for the required production steps, and which, on the other side, is rough in order to be able to slide and prevent sticking , The end user can release the cover layer. The cover layer is plasticizer-inhibiting to avoid hardening of the adhesive film by plasticizer migration into the paper. Suitable papers are polyethylene extruded or cast coated papers.
The coating material can be formed in such a way the cover layer is a plastic film. For example, polypropylene is used. The plastic film has the advantage that the coating material is flat in the machine further processing, because the plastic film reacts to, for example, changes in moisture, other than the existing plastic layers. The plastic film is glossy on one side and dull on the other side. With its glossy outer surface it adheres well to the adhesive film and its free matte outer surface prevents in particular a blocking of trained as a sheet material layer material during its further processing. There is also little electrostatic charge, which is also important for machine processing.
