Definitions

  • the invention relates to a safety clasp according to the claims.
  • the notched locking device of a clasp generally has a force fixed adjusted during manufacturing and which can be adjusted during the maintenance of the wristwatch by a specialist. It may vary depending on the model of the wristwatch chosen.
  • the "Male” or “Sport” models can be operated with a closing force greater than a model “Women” . It turned out as a disadvantage that the closing force of the wristwatch clasp cannot not be set by users based on activities daily or leisure.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a solution to these problems by creating a general purpose clasp by example for a wristwatch, of a particularly compact construction and compatible with known and proven manufacturing techniques.
  • this object is achieved with a clasp fitted with a closure safety allowing individual adjustment of the latching force.
  • FIGS. 1a, 1b and 2 show the clasp according to the invention in the closed state ( Figure 1a) and in the open state ( Figure 1b).
  • the bracelet and the clasp 1 are preferably metallic, they can be made of stainless steel and / or gold.
  • FIGS. 1a, 1b and 2 show the last chains 2,2 ′ of the bracelet, a lower blade 3 of the clasp, a locking stud 6, for example welded, on the lower blade 3 of the clasp, a terminal connecting element 7, of the clasp, an upper blade 11 and a locking device 4 provided with a safety cover 5.
  • Clasp 1 has three axes of articulation 8,9,10.
  • the first axis 8 is used to articulate the upper blade 11 of the clasp 1 with the last chain 2 'of the bracelet.
  • the second axis 9 is used for the articulation of the locking 4 with a guide sleeve 9.0 fixed to the blade upper 11 of the clasp 1.
  • the third axis 10 is used for articulation from the safety cover 5 to the locking device 4.
  • Clasp 1 closes by successive snaps of a device 4 and a safety cover 5 on the locking pin 6.
  • a fourth axis 13 allows the articulation of the connecting element 7 with the last link 2 of the bracelet.
  • the locking device clasp closes in two times. In firstly, by holding the clasp 1, for example by the end of the cover 5, the upper blade 11 of the clasp 1 is turned until it hits the lower blade 3 of the clasp. At the same time, the locking device 4 is pressed towards the lower clasp blade 3 1 against the locking pin 6 of the lower blade 3 of the clasp with which it engages. In a second time, the safety cover 5 is pivoted relative to the locking device 4 and pressed against the locking device 4, (FIG. 5c) with which it comes in take. Engaging the cover increases the force exerted on the locking pin 6 as will be explained thereafter and constitutes a security closure. The details of these interlocks are described in the description according to FIGS. 5a to 5c, 6a, 6b and 7.
  • the safety cover 5 serves both as a means of closing the clasp and of ornamental piece.
  • the goal is to conceal the locking device 4 through the safety cover 5.
  • the safety cover 5 thus covers and conceals the locking device 4 in its quasi screen.
  • Clasp 1 closed with its locked safety has an aspect similar to the terminal connecting element 7 and thereby the aesthetics are improved.
  • This clasp is opened by inverting the two stages described above.
  • the device for locking device 4 comprises a housing 4.0 provided with a central notch 16.
  • the housing 4.0 is drilled with coaxial holes 14.0,14.0 'serving for guiding two locking elements 14.14. It is still drilled with coaxial holes 10.0,10.0 ' an articulation rod 10 (figures 1a, 1b and 2). Two guide bushings 15.15 'carry a hinge rod 9 which passes through a guide sleeve 9.0 welded to the upper blade 11 of the clasp 1 ( Figures 1a, 1b and 2).
  • Other embodiments of the elements of a closure of the clasp are of course possible for those skilled in the art, knowing the present invention. For example, it is possible to use only one locking element.
  • the two locking elements 14.14 ' are pistons arranged on along an axis AA '. These locking elements can be spring loaded.
  • the contact force of the locking elements 14,14 ' is defined by the dimensions chosen (length, diameter, etc.) and by the materials chosen.
  • Foot pistons 14.2,14.2 ' have a convex rounded portion, serving as a contact.
  • These pistons of heads 14.1,14.1 'and feet 14.2,14.2' are assembled so as to be able to resist pressures along their axis AA '.
  • walls 22, 22 'and recesses 20, 20' of the safety cover 5 are engaged with the locking elements 14, 14 '.
  • a preferred embodiment of a safety cover 5 is shown in two sectional views according to Figures 4b and 4c . The details concerning the operation of the locking elements 14, 14 ′ during the steps for closing the clasp are described in the description according to FIGS. 5a to 5c.
  • FIGS. 5a to 5c show a part of the locking stud 6, a part of a locking device 4 comprising two locking elements 14,14 'arranged in two holes 14,0,14.0' serving to guide the two locking elements 14, 14 'and part of a safety cover 5.
  • FIG. 5a shows a first step in closing.
  • the locking pin 6 has two fixing slots 6.0,6.0 ' concaves, which engage the ends convex feet pistons 14.2,14.2 '.
  • the surfaces concave of the fixing notches 6.0,6.0 'and the convex surfaces of the pistons feet 14.2,14.2 ' preferably have the same spokes, allowing optimal contact thanks to a contact surface maximum between the two elements.
  • Figure 5b shows a second stage of closure showing the locking device 4 engaged with the locking pad 6 (first closing step).
  • the locking device 4 includes, with reference to FIG. 4, a central housing 16 whose foot pistons 14.2,14.2 'project from the walls interior formed by the central housing 16.
  • the locking elements 14,14 ' are movable along their axis AA' under external pressures.
  • Elastic rings 21.21 ', 21' ', 21' '' hold the locking elements 14,14 'correctly centered in the axis AA 'and in the holes 14.0,14.0'.
  • These elastic rings 21,21 ', 21' ', 21' '' are by example an open spring steel coil.
  • FIG. 5c shows a third stage of the closure showing the cover of safety 5 maintained by a second hooking on the locking device 4 (second closing step).
  • the safety cover 5 has two stop notches 20,20 'and acts with walls 22,22 'on the pistons of heads 14.1,14.1' projecting from outer walls of the housing 4.0 of the locking device 4.
  • the walls 22,22 'slide on the pistons of heads 14.1,14.1' and push the elements of locking 14,14 'slightly inward of the housing 4.0.
  • This second force is chosen greater than the resistance force of the elastic rings 21,21 ', 21' ', 21' '.
  • Figure 5c shows that the two adjacent elastic rings 21,21 '' ' head pistons 14.1,14.1 'are compressed and the two rings elastic 21 ', 21 "adjacent to the base pistons 14.2,14.2' are relaxed.
  • the pistons feet 14.2,14.2 ' hook into the fixing notches 6.0, 6.0' of the stud locking 6.
  • This second force or pressure increases the gripping force of the clasp and allows a safety closure. All forces or pressures can be adjusted.
  • FIGS. 6a and 6b show a second embodiment of a locking device 4 for the clasp 1.
  • the locking device 4 essentially comprises a housing 4.0 provided with a central housing 16.
  • the housing 4.0 is pierced with holes 17.0, 18.0 for guiding two pins of variable diameter 17,18 and is additionally pierced with coaxial holes 10.0,10.0 'for guiding an articulation rod 10 ( Figures 1a, 1b and 2).
  • Two guide sleeves 15, 15 ′ support an articulation rod 9 in a guide sleeve 9.0 welded to the upper blade 11 of the clasp 1 (FIGS. 1a, 1b and 2).
  • Two locking elements 14,14 'in the form of self-centered elastic clips occupy a remaining space 23 in the locking device 4.
  • the space 23 is formed so as to hold the locking elements 14,14'. After closing the locking device 4 on the locking pad 6, the latter is in the central housing 16, in engagement with the locking elements 14,14 '. After closing the safety cover 5 on the locking device 4, the walls of the safety cover 5 are engaged with the locking elements 14,14 '.
  • the two locking elements 14.14 ' in the form of self-centered elastic clpis act along a contact axis AA 'and have curved portions more flexible 14.3,14.3 ', and straight and more rigid portions 14.4,14.4.
  • the bearing surfaces of these locking elements are rounded.
  • locking elements 14, 14 ′ are springs.
  • the strength of labeling these spring locking elements 14,14 ' is defined by their dimensions chosen (length, diameter, etc.) and by the materials chosen.
  • the spring locking elements 14, 14 ′ are in the rest position without voltage.
  • the two locking elements 14, 14 ′ are guided by adjustment on walls delimiting the space 23, for example, the walls of the neighboring housing 4.0 to the straight portions 14.4, 14.4 'of the locking elements 14.14' serving to guide.
  • the locking elements 14,14 ' are compressible / extensible on along their contact axis AA 'under external pressures.
  • FIG. 7 shows a locking pin 6 screwed onto the blade lower 3 of the clasp, having two fixing notches 6.0,6.0 ', i.e. concave surfaces in the outer wall of the locking stud 6.
  • notches 6.0,6.0 'and the rounded portions of the locking elements 14,14' are adapted to each other, for example having the same radii, allowing optimal support between the two elements.
  • closing forces or pressures are adjustable by various means.
  • the 4.0 butte box for example against the lower blade 3 of the clasp.
  • the closing force can be adjusted by pins of variable diameter 17.18.
  • these pins of diameter variable 17.18 are adjustable by the choice of materials used, by the choice the diameter of the pins, the shape of the exterior surfaces, etc. As for example they can be elastic or they can have diameters different.
  • Figure 7 illustrates the example of two pins of variable diameter 17.18, of which the central diameter of the pin of variable diameter 17 has a smaller diameter than the variable diameter pin 18.
  • the element lock 14 is in contact with play with the central diameter of the pin of variable diameter 17.
  • the locking element 14 ' is in contact with or with little play with the constant central diameter of the pin of variable diameter 18. Under the effect of a closing force, the diameter center of the variable diameter pin 17 leaves a play in the locking element 14. On the other hand, the constant central diameter of the pin of variable diameter 18 leaves little or no play in the element of 14 'lock. Such a variation decreases the effective closing force acting on the locking pin 6.
  • one or more diameter pins variable 17.18 is not limited to a clasp 1 according to the second embodiment a locking device 4.
  • the use is also possible with a clasp 1 according to the first embodiment of a locking device 4.
  • the closing forces or pressures are not only adjustable by the pins of variable diameter 17.18 but by other means of variation. Another means of adjustment is the force of resistance of the locking elements 14,14 'acting on the cover of security 5 when it is closed on the locking device 4.
  • the orientation of the locking elements 14, 14 ′ in the space 23 of the second embodiment of a locking device 4 can be adjusted.
  • the locking elements 14, 14 ′ can be turned by 180 ° in the space 23 designed to be symmetrical in the locking device 4, thus allowing a variation of the distance between the straight portions 14.4,14.4 'of the locking elements 14,14' and the hinge 10.
  • the portions straight and rigid 14.4,14.4 'of the locking elements 14,14' form an axis of resistance substantially perpendicular to the closing plane of the cover 5.
  • the resistance force of the rigid portion 14.4,14.4 'acting on the safety cover 5 increases or decreases according to the magnitude of the distance between the hinge 10 and the resistance axis.
  • the visible elements of the closure of the clasp are preferably metallic, they are for example made of stainless steel and / or gold.
  • the locking pin 6 is mounted on a lower blade 3 of the clasp, preferably by welding or screwing. Other techniques of course are possible.
