Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a dip spout for casting metal, in particular Steel in continuous casting plants for thin slabs, with a circular one Cross section having a pouring part fastened to a pouring vessel and an in the pouring part immersed in a rectangular mold, the Mouth is equipped in a rectangular cross-section.
Die einzelnen Abschnitte werden von separaten Formsteinen gebildet, wobei die Formsteine an ihren einander zugewandten Enden ineinander eingreifen und zwischen den ineinandergreifenden Enden der Formsteine eine Dichtung angeordnet ist.EP 0 630 712 describes an immersion nozzle, in particular for thin slab casting known, which is divided into two sections and the lower shape of a length has that is much larger than its width. The individual sections are formed by separate shaped stones, the shaped stones on their each other facing ends engage one another and between the interlocking ends A seal is arranged at the ends of the shaped blocks.
The individual shaped stones show a complicated shape structure with clear Differences in wall thickness.
From DE 37 09 188 A1 is also a pouring tube for metallurgical vessels known, the upper longitudinal section is round in cross section and the lower Length section is rectangular in cross section. The dimensions in the mouth area are in a length / width ratio of 20: 1 to 80: 1. The exit of the Dipping spout is formed by two mouth openings, which together form one Have flow cross-section that is not quite as large as that Flow cross-section at the plug closure.
A ratio of less than 1: 1 between the flow cross-section in the inlet pipe and on Outlet of the immersion spout is caused by flow diversion and restriction of reached two mouth openings.
The aim of the invention is to provide a diving spout that is easy to manufacture, a has a long service life in terms of its manufacture and operation Low thermal stress structure and that a uniform outflow of liquid metal.
The invention achieves this goal by the in the characterizing part of Claim 1 specified features.
The immersion nozzle is made up of two basic components, one tubular pouring part and a straight pouring part. Between these two in their form completely different basic components is one with regard to its overall length short transition provided.
Surprisingly, it has been shown that this transition has almost no influence on the flow behavior of the liquid steel flowing through the immersion nozzle has, as far as the pouring part from flat wall elements and one has free cross-sectional area that is less than half the cross-sectional area of the Pouring part is.
Regardless of the shape of the transition from the tubular casting to rectangular pouring part, the flow of the liquid steel can be completely calmed down lead, as far as the flat wall elements each almost parallel to each other are arranged.
Let through the simple form elements, either round or straight the individual components of the immersion nozzle are adapted to the high ones interpret the expected thermal stresses. In addition to the simple geometric Form here counts the use of wall elements of the same wall thickness.
Since the transition between the pouring and pouring part with respect to the Flow conditions play a subordinate role, this can be constructive Freedom to optimize with regard to a low tension of the transition part used become.
The flow conditions, particularly in the transition area, can be caused by Impact elements, which are arranged at the foot of the pouring part, had a positive influence become.
The achieved by the simple shape of the pouring part completely calmed the Flow behavior of the melt - enables the free flow to be minimized Outlet area the desired and required passage quantities when casting Thin slabs.
The requirement of a small footprint makes it possible to make diving spouts for Thin slab molds with parallel side walls and a width of up to 60 mm to be used.
Due to the identical shape of the mouth of the diving spout and the Entry of the mold can have a constant free surface of its dimension Adjust the level of the melt in the mold.
Thanks to the calm, even melt flow in the pouring part of the Immersion nozzle and the similar in shape and in terms of cross-sectional area only slight differences between the pouring part and the mold allow one low-swirl melt guidance in the mold. The setting of the The amount of melt is regularly adjusted via an adjusting element in the pouring vessel a stopper.
