Abstract

A roofing system is described which comprises a roof outer skin layer (30) and a composite unit (2) for the roof interior comprising a substantially rigid insulating layer and an inner lining skin layer (10) where in the lower surface of the insulating layer and the upper surface of the lining skin layer are fixed together so as to form a layered unit., The composite unit is designed to provide a load bearing surface independently of the roof outer ski. The length of the roof outer skin is independent of the length of the composite units.
