Abstract

The invention relates to a seal arrangement (6) consisting of two abutting structures of concrete, steel, reinforced concrete, cast iron or other materials and a sealing section of elastomeric material which bridges and seals the gap between the two structures, in which the structures are especially segments (2', 2'') assembled to form a tubular tunnel with the formation of transverse and longitudinal seams, where each segment preferably has at least one peripheral recess (7) covering all the mating sides of the segments and there is in each recess a stranded sealing section (8) which especially has strand-shaped grooves on the base side of the sealing section and/or strand-shaped channels, forming a sealing frame with corners, and the back of the sealing section (8) has at least one strand-shaped groove to accept an emergency seal (9). When the segments (2', 2'') are moved in the direction of the arrow, giving rise to gaps, the emergency seal, consisting especially of a water-activatable sealing material, can expand as a result of a swelling process with an increase in volume.

Description

DICHTANORDNUNG FÜR INSBESONDERE TUNNELROHRSEGMENTE SEALING ARRANGEMENT FOR PARTICULAR TUNNEL TUBE SEGMENTS
Beschreibungdescription
The invention relates to a sealing arrangement consisting of two abutting components made of concrete, steel, reinforced concrete, cast iron or other materials (e.g. synthetic resins) and a sealing profile made of elastomeric material (ie rubber or rubber-like material), which seals the gap between the two components bridged; wherein the components are in particular segments which are assembled to form a tubular tunnel, to be precise with the formation of transverse and longitudinal joints, each segment preferably being provided with at least one circumferential recess which encompasses all segment abutment sides, again in each recess a strand-shaped sealing profile is located, which is provided in particular with strand-shaped groove grooves, which are arranged on the base side of the sealing profile, and / or with likewise strand-shaped channels, with the formation of a sealing frame with frame corners. Since the segments mostly have four butt sides, the sealing frame consists of four composite sealing profiles, the frame corners preferably being produced by the injection molding process.
A generic sealing arrangement is known for example from US-A-4 946 309. As a result of the compression of the abutting components or segments while reducing the spacing of the gap or the transverse and longitudinal joints, the sealing profile made of elastomeric material unfolds its sealing performance under the interaction of force and reaction force. Compression seals of this type have proven themselves in numerous tunnel projects.
For the purpose of additional pressure activation, it has also been proposed to provide a sealing profile on the water side with a lateral bore which is connected to at least one of the channel-shaped channels (US Pat. No. 5,044,823). When water penetrates from the outside of the segment, the channel or channels are supported by the water pressure, which leads to an increase in sealing performance. However, it is disadvantageous that the bore can be closed due to contamination, which results in the ineffectiveness of this additional pressure-activating measure.
Nachteilig ist hier jedoch die Bereitstellung eines Injektionskanales, der häufig zudem durch die Segmente geführt werden muß, sowie zusätzlicher Vorrichtungsteile.EP-B-0 340 659 also presents a sealing arrangement in which the sealing profile has a cavity which is connected to an injection channel. The sealing profile is activated by means of an injectable medium that increases the total volume. In this way, a high sealing effect is achieved without the sealing profiles having to be pressed together during assembly. The disadvantage here, however, is the provision of an injection channel, which often also has to be guided through the segments, and additional device parts.
Despite numerous proposed solutions for sealing abutting components, there has been an insufficiently solved problem to date. Components, in particular tunnel segments, can change their position over time (e.g. under the influence of geological change conditions), for example due to ovalization, so that gaps open up. Furthermore, components or tunnel segments can be displaced when installed with an offset. Such constellations then inevitably lead to a negative influence on the sealing effect of the sealing profile.
For this reason, a sealing arrangement is proposed according to the invention in which the back of the sealing profile has at least one strand-shaped groove which is provided for receiving an emergency seal, in particular an activatable, in particular a sealing material which can be activated with water.
The back of the sealing profile can have a single groove, which is located in the area of the profile center. Another expedient variant consists in equipping the back of the sealing profile with two grooves which are arranged essentially mirror-symmetrically to one another, specifically with respect to the vertical profile center plane.
With regard to the structural design of the groove as well as the emergency seal seated in it, the following variants are advantageously used. 1) The flanks of the groove run in an arc shape, and these also merge into the groove base in an arc shape, specifically to form a groove with an essentially circular cross-sectional shape, in particular in connection with an approximately funnel-shaped opening.
For example, the emergency seal in the form of a cord with an essentially circular cross-sectional shape can now be introduced into this groove.
Another expedient design variant consists in the use of an emergency seal which essentially completely fills the groove, the upper sealing surface of the emergency seal being approximately flush with the back of the sealing profile or having a wedge-shaped widening, namely by encompassing the profile back.
The flanks of the groove are concave, namely with a substantially flat groove bottom, reference being made to the advantageous variants according to number 1 with regard to the seated emergency seal.
The flanks of the groove are double-conical, the groove width being greatest in the region of half the groove depth, namely with an essentially flat groove bottom. With regard to the seated emergency seal, reference is also made here to the advantageous variants according to number 1. The use of an emergency seal in the form of a cord is particularly useful in this groove design.
The flanks of the groove run conically, namely by reducing the width of the groove towards the groove bottom, and that with an essentially flat groove bottom, it being advantageous in this design variant if the groove is equipped with strand-like retaining lugs that prevent it from falling out prevent the emergency seal. Expediently, there is a single retaining lug within each flank of the groove, the two opposite retaining lugs being arranged somewhat below the back of the sealing profile.
The emergency seal is expediently in the form of a strip, specifically with essentially rectangular or trapezoidal cross-sectional shape In this context, the entire groove is advantageously not filled with the emergency seal, with the formation of a free space between the back of the sealing profile and the emergency seal.
It is also expedient if the corners of the frame of the sealing frame are also equipped with at least one groove which merges into the groove of the sealing profile, reference being made to the explanations according to numbers 1 to 4 with regard to the advantageous design variants of the groove and the emergency seal.
Hydrotite®) besteht. It is also expedient if the emergency seal is inserted into the groove just before the components or segments are joined together. This is particularly important in the case of an emergency seal that consists of sealing material that can be activated with water (e.g. Hydrotite®).

Hinsichtlich des Zusammenwirkens von Haltenasen 14 und Notdichtung wird auf die Fig. 6 verwiesen.7, the back 10 of the sealing profile 21 has two grooves 22 and 23, which are arranged mirror-symmetrically (with respect to the vertical profile center plane Y) to one another, a channel 24 being located between these two grooves, in a total of three rows overall of grooves and channels. With regard to the interaction of retaining lugs 14 and emergency seal, reference is made to FIG. 6.
Die Nut selbst besitzt eine etwa trichterförmige Öffnung 28.FIG. 8 shows a groove 25, the flanks 26 of which run in an arc shape, and these also merge into the groove base 27 in an arc shape, with the formation of a groove having an essentially circular cross-sectional shape. The groove itself has an approximately funnel-shaped opening 28.
According to FIG. 9, the groove according to FIG. 8 is now completely filled with the emergency seal 29, the sealing surface 30 also having a flange-like widening, namely by encompassing the back 10 of the sealing profile.
Fig. 10 zeigt nun eine Nut 31, deren Flanken 32 bzw. 32' doppelkonisch verlaufen, wobei die Nutbreite im Bereich der halben Nuttiefe am größten ist, und zwar bei einem im wesentlichen ebenflächigen Nutboden 33.10 now shows a groove 31, the flanks 32 and 32 'of which are double-conical, the groove width being greatest in the region of half the groove depth, specifically with a substantially flat groove bottom 33.
In the context of these figures, a further alternative of the flank profile is shown, namely in the form of a concave flank 34 (dashed lines).
Die Dichtfläche 36 der Notdichtung befindet sich hier unter Bildung eines Freiraumes 37 etwas unterhalb des Rückens 10 des Dichtprofiles, wobei als Variante auch ein fluchtender Verlauf der Dichtfläche 36' mit dem Rücken 10 möglich ist (gestrichelte Linienführung).FIG. 11 now shows a groove according to FIG. 10 with a double-conical flank profile, the emergency seal 35 seated in the groove being present in the form of a cord, essentially with it circular cross-sectional shape. The sealing surface 36 of the emergency seal is located here to form a free space 37 somewhat below the spine 10 of the sealing profile, a variant of which is also possible for the sealing surface 36 'to be flush with the spine 10 (dashed lines).
Even if the sealing arrangement according to the invention is of outstanding importance in the context of tunnel construction, this principle can also be applied to other building constructions, for example when sealing socket pipes in sewer construction (EP-B-0 449 082).
