Claims (14)
- Drying device for product-filled ribbon-form foil tubes, which cooperates with a filling, forming, cooling, sealing, drying and cutting station and also with a stacking and final packing unit in an apparatus for packaging the foil tubes, wherein the drying station is configured as a cold or hot compressed-air drying unit, characterized in that the drying device (1) essentially consists of a housing which is open on one side and has side plates (4, 5) that are parallel and spaced apart, two bearing blocks (6, 7) with drive units being connected on the closed side of these side plates (4, 5), and brush rollers (8, 9, 10, 11), which are driven in contrarotation and through whose roller-gap the ribbon-form foil tube (2) is led in the direction of the arrow (3), being provided, the brush rollers (8, 9; 10, 11) being driven in the opposite direction to the transport direction of the foil tube (2).
- Drying device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the brush rollers (8, 9; 10, 11) facing one another overlap, and are configured with their bristles plunging into each other and interdigitating, in a region of overlap (22) through which the ribbon-form foil tube (2) passes.
- Drying device according to Claim 1 or Claim 2, characterized in that the drying device (1) consists of at least two opposing brush rollers (8, 9; 10, 11) with every two such rollers forming a roller pair with a single brush-gap.
- Drying device according to any one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that two or more such brush roller pairs (8, 9; 10, 11) with the brush rollers in each pair driven in contrarotation are juxtaposed one pair above the other.
- Drying device according to Claim 1, characterized in that a drive motor (16, 18) whose drive shaft is connected fixedly in rotation to an associated drive wheel (28, 29) is mounted in each bearing block (6, 7), a drive belt (17, 19) running over each such drive wheel (28, 29) and each such drive belt (17, 19) driving a pair of brush rollers (8, 9; 10, 11) via drive wheels (24, 25) provided thereon.
- Drying device according to any one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that each brush roller (8, 9; 10, 11) consists of a body (13) of plastic material which is mounted axially rotatably on a rotational axis (14, 15) and on which a bristle jacket (12) with radially outwards directed bristles is arranged fixedly in rotation.
- Drying device according to any one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the ribbon-form foil tube (2), which has an approximately rectangular profile, is drawn upwards in the direction of the arrow (3) through the brush-gap of the brush pairs (8, 9; 10, 11), each brush pair (8, 9; 10, 11) being driven the opposite way to the transport direction (arrow 3) of the foil tube (2).
- Drying device according to any one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the broad sides of the foil tube (2) are swept by the bristle jackets (12) of the individual brush rollers (8, 9, 10, 11), while the edge (23) of the foil tube (2) is additionally swept by the meshing bristles in the overlap region (22).
- Drying device according to any one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the brush rollers (8, 9; 10, 11) arranged in pairs are driven in contrarotation in the directions indicated by the arrows (20, 21) by the single drive belt (17, 19) provided for each pair.
- Drying device according to Claim 1 or Claim 2, characterized in that the water swept off the foil tube (2) and forming in the casing runs down over a run-off surface (27) and collects in the sump (26) and is removable via a drain (30).
- Drying device according to any one of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the brush rollers (8, 9) are mounted rotatably in their rotational axes (14, 15) in the bearing block (6).
- Drying device according to any one of Claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the brush rollers (8, 9; 10, 11) are driven at a speed of preferably approx. 1100 revolutions per minute.
- Drying device according to any one of Claims 1 to 12, characterized in that the foil tube (2) is drawn through the drying device (1) at a speed of approx. 70 m per minute, its thickness is approx. 3 mm and its width is approx. 84 mm.
- Drying device according to any one of Claims 1 to 13, characterized in that the brush rollers (8, 9, 10, 11) are removably held in the bearing blocks (6, 7).
