Abstract

The building roof comprises a complete roof structure with hinge joints and runs from building wall to building wall. The roof is an insulating self-supporting box structure with battens and plates.

Description

The invention relates to a house roof. According to prevailing practice, house roofs are made from individual parts at the building site, whereby a roof truss is first made, on which the roof covering is then applied. All of this is relatively time-consuming and costly.

The invention has for its object to reduce construction time and costs by largely prefabricating house roofs.

To this end, the present invention teaches a house roof which, by means of a prefabricated, essentially self-supporting overall roof construction, consisting of at least two rectangular plate elements arranged next to one another, each consisting of a lower and an upper chipboard, between the two chipboards at least along the element edge and arranged between the two chipboards, the gaps between the insulating layer sections filling the wooden bars are marked.

In the house roof according to the invention, the otherwise usual roof truss is therefore omitted because its function is taken over by the self-supporting box-shaped plate elements. These plate elements are prefabricated economically and placed on the retaining walls of the building in question and connected to them. Finally, only the roof covering has to be applied. All of these measures can be done in a much shorter time and more cost-effectively than before.

There are several possibilities for the further configuration within the scope of the invention. In the case of a sloping house roof, the plate elements preferably run transversely to the roof pitch direction; In the case of a saddle roof, it is advisable to dissolve the entire roof structure into the roof elements at least along the ridge. A further saving in construction time and costs results from a preferred embodiment, in which the upper chipboard is also provided on its outside with a lath made up of counter battens and roof battens for a brick covering. In order to ensure the greatest possible air and moisture tightness, it is advisable to unite the individual parts of the panel elements by gluing them together, i.e. not to make any screw connections. Of particular importance is the measure of connecting the plate elements to one another by means of hinge joints at the ends and forming them to be able to be placed against one another in the manner of bellows; this embodiment is delivered folded and only placed on the construction site and unfolded. For seam sealing of adjacent panel elements, adjacent edge surfaces of the wooden bars should have a longitudinal groove for an inserted hardwood strip and an elastic sealing tape above and below the longitudinal groove; If the hardwood strip is fixed in one of the two longitudinal grooves, it is no longer possible to mix up the panel elements.

The house roof shown in the figures consists of a single-hip saddle roof and is characterized by a prefabricated, self-supporting overall roof construction from a total of five plate elements 1. The left half of the figure is made of three plate elements 1 running parallel to the ridge 2 and the right half of the roof is parallel to two First 2 extending plate elements 1 are formed.

Each plate element 1 has a size of about 3 x 5 m and has a 14 mm thick lower chipboard 3 and a 12 mm thick upper chipboard 4. Between the two chipboards 4 172 mm high and 59 mm wide wooden bars 5, 6 are arranged, which run along the edge of the element; between the transverse wooden bars 5 an additional, 92 mm high wooden bar 7 arranged parallel to the longitudinal wooden bars 6. The spaces between the wooden bars 5, 6 are filled with insulating layer sections 8 made of EPS (= expandable polystyrene). The parts mentioned are glued together. On the upper side, the upper chipboard 4 is also provided with battens 9, 10 for a tile covering 11. The battens 9, 10 consist of counter battens 9 and roof battens 10 and consequently form a ventilated cavity 12. The lower plate elements 1 have also received a gutter 13 in the course of the prefabrication.

As can be seen from FIG. 1, the plate elements 1 are connected to one another by hinge joints 14 at the end and can be placed against one another in the manner of bellows. The prefabricated house roof is brought to the construction site in the state in which it is placed against one another and placed on the masonry of a building 15 and unfolded. Adjacent edge surfaces 16 of the wooden ledges 6 of adjacent plate elements 1 (see FIG. 1/3) have a longitudinal groove 17 for an inserted hardwood slat 18 and an elastic sealing tape 19, 20 above and below the longitudinal groove 17; the longitudinal groove 17 with the hardwood slat 18 is particularly important if the entire roof construction should be carried out without the hinge joints 14, because the hardwood slat 18 fastened in the longitudinal groove 17 ensures the correct assignment of adjacent plate elements 1. After unfolding the plate elements 1 are screwed to the correspondingly prepared upper edge of the masonry with screws 21 and the gap between the Plate elements 1 sealed by a plastic profile 22. After 2 fillers 23 made of wood and EPS are then arranged along the ridge, only the tile covering 11 has to be carried out.

The house roof described has shown very good thermal insulation and sound insulation in practice.
