Description

It is known (see for example US-A-4 989 202) that a ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) transmission link between the transmission line and a so-called network U-interface has. It is also known (cf. "Siemens KMT Report" no.14, order no. E 80001-V331-W54, Pages 6 and 7) to take measurements at this U interface and to provide a corresponding measuring device. With this, for example, frequency-dependent measurements, functional tests and also jitter measurements performed become. An ISDN transmission path represents a special one Form of a transmission path with a full duplex transmission in the two-wire equilibrium process.

From European patent application EP 0 009 592 A1 is also known in a connected to a duplex line Transmitter and receiver a difference for the To provide signal reception. The difference-maker becomes two Signals supplied, namely your own broadcast signal of your own Sending and receiving device and that on the duplex line overall signal transmitted, from the own transmission signal and a signal to be received from another transmitter consists. The difference-maker has the task of Total signal of the duplex line to the own transmission signal subtract and in this way receiving exclusively to enable the signal of the other transmitter. A Crosstalk of the own transmission signal into the one to be received So signal is suppressed.

The invention relates to a measuring device for the interface a transmission path with a full duplex transmission in the two-wire equilibrium process, in which to the Interface on the one hand a highly integrated interface module via a hybrid circuit and a transformer and on the other hand, a line termination (LT) or a network termination (NT) are connected as a test object.

The invention has for its object physical measurements at the interface during transmission to perform accurately in a comparatively simple way can.

According to the invention, an arrangement is used to achieve this object of hybrid circuit, transformer and line or network termination emulating facility available, the one contains high-impedance differential amplifier, the input side with the transmit outputs of the highly integrated interface module and on the output side via another high-impedance Differential amplifier with one input of a subtractor is connected, and one in their electrical properties identical hybrid circuit with the hybrid circuit of the transmission link, one with the transmitter of the transmission link identical transformer and one in its electrical Properties with line or network termination the transmission link has identical termination; a Another input of the subtractor is via an additional one high impedance differential amplifier with the interface connected, and at the output of the subtractor is a measuring system connected to the measuring device.

The main advantage of the measuring device according to the invention is that by using the emulating Establishment and the subtractor created the opportunity only examine the signal sent by the respective test object to be able to, because the signals running to the test object and information is filtered out in the subtractor so that at the output of the subtractor only the one sent by the measurement object Signal is present and from a measuring system of the measuring device without further can be evaluated.

To the advantages of the measuring device according to the invention also to be achieved if a transmission link with a Damping device present at the interface contains the replicating device of the measuring device between the identical transformer and the identical degree advantageously one with the damping device of the transmission link identical in their electrical properties Damping device.

It may also be advantageous if there is a transmission link with a damping device on the Interface in the replicating device of the measuring device the further high-impedance differential amplifier an in their effect with the damping device of the transmission link to connect an identical damping arrangement.

Figure 2
a further embodiment of the measuring device according to the invention in an ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) transmission link provided with a damping device and in
Figure 3
an additional embodiment of the measuring device according to the invention is shown in an ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) transmission link provided with a damping device.

Figure 1 initially allows a transmission link 1 recognize an interface 2, which is a U interface an ISDN transmission path as a special one Form of a transmission path with a full duplex transmission can act in the two-wire equality procedure. On the U interface is a highly integrated in a known manner Interface module 3 connected. In detail this highly integrated interface module 3 over two Transmitter outputs 4 connected to a hybrid circuit 5, which in is usually designed as a hybrid circuit; the hybrid 5 is connected via a downstream transformer 6 the interface 2 connected, on the other hand, a measurement object 7 lies. This measurement object 7 can be a Line termination (LT) or around a network termination (NT) act.

As FIG. 1 also shows, the transmit outputs 4 of the highly integrated interface module 3 a device 8 connected, the input side a high-resistance differential amplifier 9 contains. This high-impedance differential amplifier is a hybrid 10 downstream, which in their electrical properties with the hybrid circuit 5 of the transmission link 1 is identical. Also one of the identical hybrid 10 downstream transformer 11 agrees with that Transmitter 6 of the transmission link 1 match. On the identical Transmitter 11 is connected to a termination 12 which in its electrical properties with the measurement object 7 is identical. At the identical end 12 is on the input side another high-impedance differential amplifier 13, the on the output side with an input 14 of a subtractor 15 connected is.

Another input 16 of the subtractor 15 is via a additional high-impedance differential amplifier 17 with the Interface 2 connected. To an output 18 of the subtractor 15 a measuring system 19 of the measuring device is connected, that may be suitable for jitter measurement, for example can.

In FIG. 1, in the area of the interface 2, an arrow labeled "U hin " indicates that a signal is present at the interface 2 and thus also at the input of the additional high-impedance differential amplifier 17, which is transmitted from the highly integrated interface module 3 the hybrid circuit 5 and the transmitter 6 is transmitted to the test object 7. In addition, the signal U back is present at the interface 2, which is emitted by the measurement object 7. At the output of the additional differential amplifier 17, both signals U back and U back occur because they have an amplification of 1 and are detected by the subtractor 15 via the input 16. The input 14 of the subtractor 15 but is supplied only to the power delivered to the transmitting outputs 4 of the highly integrated interface block 3 signal U out via the differential amplifier 9, the identical fork circuit 10, the identical transformer 11 and the other high-impedance amplifier. 13 As a result of the formation of a difference, only the signal U back occurs at the output 18 of the subtractor 15, which contains information from or about the measurement object 7 and can therefore be examined in the measurement system 19 for phase jitter, for example. The signal U out therefore does not disturb the measuring system 19.

The exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, in which components corresponding to the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1 are provided with the same reference numerals, differs from that according to FIG. 1 in that a damping device 21 is arranged in the reproducing device 20 between the identical transformer 11 and the termination 12 which is identical to a damping device 22 in the transmission path 23 between the transmitter 6 and the interface 2. The identical damping device 21 ensures that, in this embodiment of the measuring device according to the invention, a signal U out which corresponds to the signal U out at the interface 2 is fed to the input 14 of the subtractor 15. Only the signal U back is measured by the measuring system.

The exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 3 differs from that according to FIG. 2 only in that a damping arrangement 30 corresponding in its electrical properties to the damping device 22 is connected in a simulating device 31 to the output of the further high-impedance differential amplifier 13, which in turn ensures that A signal U is present at the input 14 of the subtractor 15, which corresponds to the corresponding signal at the interface 2, so that in this exemplary embodiment only the signal U back of the measurement object 7 occurs at the output 18 of the subtractor 15.
