Die Fig. 1 zeigt ein Beispiel eines zur erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung gehörenden Doppelsiebformers 3. Ein Innensieb 4 und ein Außensieb 5 werden im Bereich der Formierwalze 8 zusammengeführt. In diesen Bereich des Siebzwickels führt ein Stoffauflauf 1 einen Suspensionsstrahl 9 ein. Die beiden Siebe 4 und 5 sowie die dazwischen befindliche Suspensionsschicht werden auf der Formierwalze 8 im wesentlichen im Verlauf des Umschlingungswinkels ∂ entwässert. Ein Teil des Wassers kann dabei durch das Außensieb 5 in die Wasserwanne 14 abgeschleudert werden. In an sich bekannter Weise wird das an den Leisten durch die Siebe hindurchtretende Wasser in Wasserwannen 12 bzw. 13 aufgefangen. In besonderen Fällen kann z.B. die im Innensieb 4 liegende Wasserwanne 12 mit einem Unterdruck versehen sein. Dieser zusätzliche Aufwand ist aber nur in Sonderfällen notwendig. Nach Verlassen des Formierleistenbereiches werden die beiden Siebe getrennt, wobei die Faserschicht am Innensieb 4 gehalten und bei Umlenkung über die Umlenkwalze 15 auf die auf dem Primärlangsieb 2 gebildete untere Lage 7 abgelegt wird. dadurch gekennzeichnet,
