Abstract

The fastening, either for the heel or toe of a ski boot, consists of a body (1) which can slide lengthwise on a support fixed to the ski and is equipped with a pressure spring (11) pressing against a fixed thrust member (19). The compression exerted by the pressure spring is indicated by means of an arm (24) linked kinematically to the thrust member (19) and extending upwards, its tip being visible through a window (24) in the top or side of the body (1) which has a marker adjacent to it. The fastening is also equipped with a lever (9) for opening it, with the lever covering the window and the marker when in its raised position. The thrust member (19) is made in the form of a lock which holds the body of the fastening onto the ski support (2), and has an intermediate element (13) between the thrust screw and lock, to which the arm (24) is attached.

Description

The subject of the present invention is a fixing part for ski, heel or front stop, including a body mounted sliding on a support fixed to the ski and pushed towards the middle of the binding by a thrust spring bearing against a support piece immobilized on the support and intended to maintain, by its compression, the shoe pinched between the stop front and heel, and comprising display means the state of compression of the spring thrust.

In order to ensure good support of the shoe between the front stop and the heel of a binding, the heel is generally resiliently mounted on its support by means of a thrust spring, such so that when putting on the binding, the shoe, pressing against the fixed front stop, pushes back behind the heel by compressing the push spring. The push spring should be neither too much nor too much little compressed so as to ensure good maintenance of the shoe while retaining some elasticity to fixation, elasticity necessary to ensure triggering lateral in the event of a fall and to absorb the variation in distance between the heel piece and the stop before fixing when bending the ski. For ensure that the heel piece is properly positioned and that the push spring is correctly compressed when putting on, the heels have a mark indicating the correct position of the stop of the thrust spring. Some heels have simply an index finger on the side of the heel body (FR 2 437 226). We also know a binding Tyrolia brand whose body has a window side through which we can see the position of the thrust spring stop. In all cases and in general, the location of the compression of the push spring is on the side of the heel. These compression display means thrust springs are intended for specialists, especially to retailers. The user can be However, he himself has to adjust the thrust spring, for example when changing shoe size. This user will often have struggling to visualize the compression of the spring of thrust. In addition, the user, not warned of the problems adjustment, risk of improper adjustment if it adjusts the position of the thrust spring in open position of the heel.

The invention aims to facilitate the visualization of the state of compression of the thrust spring and, in the heel case, to prevent improper adjustment of this compression.

La partie de fixation selon l'invention est définie par la partie caractérisante de la revendication 1.The fixing part according to the invention is defined by the characterizing part of claim 1.

This produces a display of the compression state the push spring which ensures that the adjusting the position of the fixing part adjustable relative to the other part of the binding is such that it guarantees correct triggering of the fixation.

A binding with certain characteristics of the invention is described in document EP-A-0 729 770 belonging to the state of the art by virtue of Articles 54 (3) and (4) EPC.

In addition, in the case of heels provided with a lever voluntary opening covering the face upper body of the heel in the open position the heel piece, as is the case more generally, display of the compression status of the thrust spring is hidden in the open position of the heel piece, so that it is a way important to put the shoe on and close the fixing to make this adjustment.

In the case where the display is arranged on a side face the heel body, the opening lever volunteer can be provided with a wing covering display in open position.

The window is preferably provided next to the window provided for displaying the spring compression trigger, the two windows being thus gathered in a sort of bulletin board which is not visible only in the closed position of the heel. Adjustment of the compression spring compression should indeed be done, preferably, that in position closed from the heel, the trigger spring being compressed to the maximum in the open position of the heel.

The invention is of course applicable both to a fixing body adjustable step by step on a slide notched, as described, for example, in patents FR 2 451 756 and FR 2 614 545, only with a body adjustable in continuous by means of a screw, disengageable or not, by example as described in the EP patent application 0 641 576.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, a embodiment of the invention.

Figure 6 is a top view of the heel shown in Figure 5, without the voluntary opening lever.

La figure 7 représente une variante d'exécution à affichage latéral.FIG. 7 represents an alternative embodiment with display lateral.

The heel piece shown in Figure 1 includes a body 1 mounted on a slide 2 itself fixed on a ski 3. In its central part, the body 1 has a housing 4 extending axially in the body and housing, in known manner, a trigger spring 5 compressed between a piston 6 and a movable nut 7 by means of an adjustment screw 8. The piston 6 makes part of a trigger mechanism shown in fine lines and including in particular a lever voluntary opening 9 and a jaw 29 intended for hold the shoe by its heel.

In its lower part, the body 1 has a cavity 10 open down in which are mounted two thrust springs 11, also called springs recoil, arranged side by side and working in compression between a front wall 12 of the cavity 10 and a movable slide 13 mounted in a limited groove 14 by two transverse walls 15 and 16. The slide 13 is supported by a ramp 17, inclined at approximately 45 °, against a bent part 18 of a latch 19 constituted a metal plate cut and bent, provided with minus one tooth on each side, these teeth being engaged in one of the notches provided in slide 2 on the two interior sides of this slide. The spring of thrust 11 thus also serves to maintain the lock 19 in the locked position. Latch 19 extends forward by a T 20 part engaged in a housing 21 of body 1.

The slide 13 has two parallel rods 22 and 23 engaged respectively in each of the springs of thrust 11 and, on the side, an arm 24 extending through the heel to the upper wall 25 of the body 1. In this wall 25 is cut a narrow window 26 aligned longitudinally on the end of the arm 24.

In this position, no external force acts on the heel and the body 1 of the heel abuts against the T-end 20 of the latch 19 under the effect of the spring thrust 11. The arm 24 is in its position the further back relative to the body 1 of the heel piece and it does not appear in window 26.

Dès qu'on retire le tournevis 27, les ressorts de poussée 11 verrouillent à nouveau la talonnière sur la glissière 2.To adjust the heel position relative to the front stop of the fixing, we start by positioning the heel approximately by moving it, if necessary, on the slide 2. To do this, the heel is unlocked by lifting the lock 19 by its bent part 18 by means of a screwdriver 27 inserted into housing 10 through an opening 28 provided for this purpose (Figure 4). It is therefore possible to move the heel on its slide. As soon as the screwdriver 27 is removed, the springs push 11 again lock the heel on slide 2.

We then fix the shoe in the binding, as shown in Figure 5, the jaw or heel grip 29 of the binding coming to bear on the heel 30 of the shoe. If the heel piece is correctly positioned, it is pushed back by compressing the thrust springs 11 so that the arm 24 appears in window 26. For a good positioning, the front edge 24a of the end of the arm 24 should appear between the two ends of the window 26, between two index markers. In this position, the push spring 11 are compressed so as to keep the shoe pinched between the front stop and the heel piece, while allowing the heel piece to resiliently move forward and backward the back.

In the open position of the heel, the opening lever volunteer 9 is folded over the body 1 of so that it covers window 26. Observation arm 24 is therefore not possible in this position open, which is desirable since in the open position, or without shoe, an adjustment is not significant since the arm 24 is behind the window 26.

The upper wall 25 of the body 1 forms the bottom of a recess 31 intended to receive a transparent plate. This recess has a second window 32 extending obliquely relative to the axis of the screw 8, this window 32 being intended for the display trigger spring precompression 5. We thus obtain a sort of bulletin board where you can read simultaneously and at a glance setting the hardness of the trigger spring and the correct adjustment of the heel position.

Du côté de cette face latérale, le levier d'ouverture volontaire 9' présente une aile plus large 40 de manière à venir recouvrir l'affichage 50 en position ouverte.FIG. 7 represents an alternative embodiment of the heel piece described above, variant in which display 50 of hardness and correct position setting is located on a side face of the heel body. The respective windows are designated by 32 'and 26'. On the side of this side face, the lever opening 9 'has a wider wing 40 so as to cover the display 50 in position opened.

The arm 24 could of course have any other form. In particular, it could be bent, or even even in the shape of an arch.

Au lieu d'être solidaire d'une pièce intermédiaire telle que le coulisseau 13, le bras indicateur de la compression du ressort de poussée pourraít être solidaire du verrou, en particulier dans le cas où le ressort de poussée s'appuie directement contre le verrou, par exemple dans le cas de fixations telles que décrites dans les brevets FR 2 368 974 et FR 2 451 756.Instead of being attached to an intermediate piece such as the slide 13, the indicator arm of the compression of the thrust spring may be integral of the lock, in particular in the case where the spring thrust rests directly against the bolt, for example in the case of fasteners as described in patents FR 2 368 974 and FR 2 451 756.

The arm 24 could be articulated by one of its ends on the slide or lock and at a point intermediate on the body of the heel so to obtain at the other end of the arm either an amplification displacement of the heel so that increase the precision of the adjustment, i.e. a reduction displacement, so as to allow greater adjustment range.

The end of the arm could be provided with a material flexible leaning against a glass closing the window so as to eliminate the fogging by its friction.

As a variant, the body 1 could have a large opening, on the top or on the side, closed by a transparent but decorated plastic plate so as to leave only transparent parts corresponding to windows 26 and 32.
