A body for a transformer, of the kind comprising terminal blocks (16A, 16B) which are each suited to establishing a connecting terminal (17A, 17B) with, in engagement with one at least of said terminal blocks (16A, 16B), for constituting such a connecting terminal (17A, 17B), a terminal connector (24A, 24B) which comprises internal connecting means (25A, 25B) for connecting an electric wire (12A, 12B) which is wound on its tubular body portion (14) and which associates in one piece with said internal connecting means (25A, 25B) external connecting means (26) for the direct connection by itself of an electrical conductor (27A, 27B) for serving the corresponding transformer (11), characterised in that, in the general shape of an inverted U, the terminal connector (24A, 24B) has a first leg portion (28) by which it is fitted with a force fit in a housing (29) provided for that purpose in recessed relationship in the terminal block (16A, 16B) to which it is fitted, to the rear thereof, a central portion (30) which extends over said terminal block (16A, 16B) and by virtue of which its external connecting means (26) come into effect, and a second leg portion (32) which is disposed in backing relationship with the terminal block (16A. 16B) and which comprises its internal connecting means (25A, 25B).
    2. A body according to claim 1 characterised in that the internal connecting means (25A) of a terminal connector (24A) are formed by a simple pointed portion suitable for winding of the electric wire (12A) to be connected.
    3. A body according to claim 1 characterised in that the internal connecting means (25B) of a terminal connector (24B) are formed by a simple hook suitable for gripping the electric wire (12A) to be connected.
    4. A body according to any one of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that the external connecting means (26) of a terminal connector (24A, 24B) comprise a screwthreaded hole (36) for receiving a screw (38) for clamping the electrical conductor (27A, 27B) to be connected.
    5. A body according to claim 4 characterised in that the external connecting means (26) of a terminal connector (24A, 24B) also comprise a clamping plate (39).
    6. A body according to any one of claims 1 to 5 characterised in that the internal connecting means (25A, 25B) of a terminal connector (24A, 24B) are operatively disposed at the end of a return part (33) of its second leg portion (32) which is generally directed outwardly.
    7. A body according to claim 6 characterised in that, involving a pointed portion, the internal connecting means (25A) of a terminal connector (24A) extend generally longitudinally with respect to its second leg portion (32) in the direction of its central portion (30).
    8. A body according to claim 6 characterised in that, involving a hook, the internal connecting means (25B) of a terminal connector (24B) extend generally transversely with respect to its second leg portion (32).
    9. A body according to any one of claims 1 to 8 characterised in that the second leg portion (32) of a terminal connector (24A, 24B) is generally of a greater height than the height of its first leg portion (28).
    10. A body according to any one of claims 1 to 9 characterised in that, for anchorage thereof in the housing (29) into which it is fitted, the first leg portion (28) of a terminal connector (24A, 24B) is notched.
    11. A body according to any one of claims 1 to 10 characterised in that, for support of a terminal connector (24A, 24B) on the terminal block (16A, 16B) to which it is fitted, there are provided latching means (34, 34') between its second leg portion (32) and said terminal block (16A, 16B).
    12. A body according to any one of claims 1 to 11 characterised in that, the terminal blocks (16A, 16B) being disposed in at least one row, being separated two by two by slots (20), some at least thereof are laterally flanked by a partition (22) which extends to the bottom of the corresponding slot (20).
    13. A body according to claim 12 characterised in that, the terminal blocks (16A, 16B) being disposed in two rows which are each respectively arranged at the ends of the tubular portion (14), only the terminal blocks (16A) of one of said rows are laterally flanked by a partition (22).
    14. A body according to any one of claims 1 to 13 characterised in that, the terminal blocks (16A, 16B) being disposed in at least one row, being separated two by two by slots (20), two slots (20) are twinned at one of the ends of such a row.
    15. A transformer, on to the body (10) of which are wound at least two electric wires (12A, 12B), characterised in that the body is in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 14.
