This city lamp holder has a generally cylindrical body 21 open at the front (bottom in FIGS. 1 and 2) to receive a lamp L (by screw or bayonet mounting), and a base 23 wider than the opening 11 at least in one direction. From this base extend backwards two flexible conductors 24 supplying the lamp L.
the cylindrical body 21 has a diameter equal to or slightly less than the diameter of the opening 11 of the reflector.
the cylindrical body 21 of the lamp holder comprises two diametrically flexible tongues opposite 22, extending axially rearward and delimited laterally with respect to the cylindrical body by two narrow notches. taking into account the relative hardness or rigidity of the material of the lamp holder, the thickness of the material tabs is adjusted so that they have the desired flexibility.
Each of the tongues 22 has on its external face a protuberance defined by two ramps rising towards one another, namely a ramp 22a of slight slope, rising towards the base 23, and a ramp 22b of steeper slope, rising in a direction away from base 23.
the opening 11 of the reflector comprises, at its circular edge on the interior side of the reflector (at the bottom in FIGS. 1 and 2) a chamfer 11a of obliquity similar to that of the ramps 22b of the lamp holder.
the lamp holder 20 is put in place by simple translation from the rear of the reflector, the slightly inclined ramps 22a causing the temporary elastic erasure towards the inside of the tongues 22, for crossing the opening.
the distance between the base 23 and the more inclined ramps 22b is also chosen so that, when said base abuts against the rear of the reflector base 10, said ramps 22b, by the play of the elastic restoring force of the tongues 22 outwards, are applied against the chamfer 11a of the opening 11, thereby locking the lamp holder in position.
the number and distribution of flexible tabs may vary.
the chamfer 11a formed in the reflector can be replaced by a rounded edge.
