Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Walzenpresse, Kalander oder dgl. bestehend aus mindestens zwei jeweils einen Preßspalt (1) zur Behandlung einer Materialbahn (2) bildenden Walzen, von denen eine Preßwalze (4) aus einem sehr flexiblen, um einen feststehenden Träger (5) rotierbaren Walzenmantel (6) besteht, der über mindestens ein Stützelement (7) auf dem Träger (5) gelagert ist, wobei das Stützelement (7) eine konkave, einen breiten Preßspalt (1) mit der Gegenwalze (8) bildende Stützfläche besitzt.
Davon ausgehend soll eine Walzenpresse geschaffen werden, die auch bei nicht durchbiegungsgesteuerter Gegenwalze (8) einen weitestgehend gleichförmigen Preßspalt (1) ermöglicht.
Erreicht wird dies dadurch, daß sich der äußere Umfang des Walzenmantels (6) der Preßwalze (4) von der Walzenmitte ausgehend in axialer Richtung zu den Walzenenden hin maßlich verändert.
