Abstract

The furniture element is box-shaped and has a closed polygonal horizontal cross-section defined by a back plate (13), two sides (14) and a front plane (15,16). At least one side wall runs in the horizontal cross-section at an angle other than 90 degs. to a front plane. The two side walls can run at the same angle to the front plane. The horizontal cross-section is symmetrical relative to the angle dissecting line of the straight line running through the side walls. The side walls can be different width in the horizontal. At least the front side corner points (17,18) of the side walls can be arranged on a circular arc section of a horizontally aligned circle (12).
