Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren zum Herstellen und Vertreiben von Fahrradhelmen zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß Grundkörper und Dekorschale des Helmes im nicht aneinander befestigten Zustand von ihren Herstellbetrieben zu den Verkaufsstätten von Fahrradhelmen transportiert werden. Erst im Fahrradgeschäft, das heißt in dem Betrieb, das die Fahrradhelme verkauft, werden Grundkörper und Dekorschale aneinander befestigt. Dieses Verfahren hat den großen Vorteil, daß die Lagerhaltung in der Verkaufsstätte von Fahrradhelmen wesentlich vermindert werden kann. So brauchen für eine jeweils erforderliche Kinder- beziehungsweise Erwachsenengröße nicht alle bereits mit Dekorschale versehenen Fahrradhelme bereitgestellt werden; es reicht, wenn die sehr zahlreichen Dekorschalen für die einzelnen Fahrradhelmgrößen lose in der Verkaufsstätte vorhanden sind und vorrätig gehalten werden, und zwar ohne die entsprechende Anzahl von Grundkörpern. Grundkörper brauchen daher nur so viele vorrätig gehalten zu werden, wie auch verkauft werden sollen. Dekorschalen können darüber hinaus wesentlich zahlreicher vorrätig gehalten werden. Je nach Wahl der gegenüberliegenden Tiefpunkte 54, 56 kann ein unterschiedlich langes Ende 64 in der Laschenausbildung 48 verhakt werden. Dadurch ist eine Längenanpassung des Stirnbandes 32 an den jeweiligen Kopfumfang des betreffenden Helmträgers problemlos möglich. Verfahren zum Herstellen und Verbreiten von Fahrradhelmen, die aus jeweils einem schalenartigen Grundkörper bestehen, auf dem eine Dekorschale befestigt ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß - Grundkörper und Dekorschale eines Helmes im nicht aneinander befestigten Zustand von ihren Herstellbetrieben zu den Verkaufsstätten von Fahrradhelmen transportiert werden, und - anschließend in den Verkaufsstätten von Fahrradhelmen Grundkörper und Dekorschale aneinander befestigt werden.
